We're A Nation Of Biblical Ignoramuses

Romans 10:13-17, “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher? And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things! But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Esaias saith, Lord, who hath believed our report? So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.”

Nearly everyone in America today is woefully ignorant of the inspired Word of God. Pastor J. Vernon McGee (1904-1988) rightly states:

“We're a nation of Biblical ignoramuses! We do not know the Word of God today in this land” (Dr. J. Vernon McGee, commentary from Hosea 4:1-2)

It is interesting in our text passage, that Romans 10:17 is associated with the Gospel. Romans 10:17, “So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God.” The saving faith that all men need to be saved, comes from hearing the preaching of the Gospel. Oh how we need soulwinners in this wicked and lost generation. We've seen massive angry riots breakout all across the United States in 2020, due to the senseless murder of George Floyd by a thug police officer. Despite the varying strong opinions between blacks, Hispanics and whites, as a born-again Christian I see a bunch of sinners who all need to hear the Gospel preached unto them. The apostle Paul emphasizes the truth in Galatians 3:2b that we are saved “BY THE HEARING OF FAITH.”

We need Bible preaching, Bible teaching and Bible studies all across this land. Most of all, Bible preaching of the Gospel. Pastor Jack Hyles once said: “Preaching is truth set on fire!” Here are some notable quotes on the Holy Bible. This is one of my favorite quotes:

What a relevant quote for America today in 2020! We are being enslaved in America to the New World Order, because our nation is ignorant of God's Word. A Christian who fears God, and understands the King James Bible, sees through the Devil's plot and exposes it! The best way to reveal the darkness is to shine the light. A Bible-reading people cannot be enslaved, because THE TRUTH shall set you free (John 8:32-36). 

John 8:30-36, “As he spake these words, many believed on him. Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. They answered him, We be Abraham's seed, and were never in bondage to any man: how sayest thou, Ye shall be made free? Jesus answered them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whosoever committeth sin is the servant of sin. And the servant abideth not in the house for ever: but the Son abideth ever. If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.”

I love that passage of Scripture. Many people choose to live in sin, and that love for sin prevents them from coming to Christ to be saved (John 3:20). Strangely enough, a person doesn't have to forsake their sinful lifestyle to receive the free gift of God, but due to the holy nature of Jesus Christ, an unrepentant person won't want to step ten yards within the blessed Savior (John 7:7). Repentance is simply “a change of mind,” where a person realizes they have sinned against a holy God, and recognizes their need as a sinner for redemption. Thus, they are saved simply by trusting Jesus as their Savior, receiving Christ's sacrifice on the cross as payment for their sins, believing that He was buried, and three days later resurrected from the dead. This is 'The Gospel' (1st Corinthians 15:1-6).

Neo-evangelical churches nowadays are teaching psychology, giving motivational speeches , and using philosophy, but they are not preaching the inspired Word of God. Pastors are no longer preachers! It is tragic. Brother Lester Roloff (1914-1982) was absolutely right: “The great need of the hour is preaching preachers!” Brother Roloff said we need porcupine preachers, so that people will get the point! I couldn't agree more with this dear saint of God. We have a sin problem today in America like never before. The U.S. government has removed and banned the King James Bible from children's daily lives at school since 1963. The consequences have been devastating. Look at the mess our country is in today!

I have been watching YouTube videos by Sheriff Grady Judd in Polk County, Florida. I really like this Christian man, who has his head on straight. I am on the side of law enforcement. They aren't always right, but we ought to thank God for the police. God shows us in the Bible, prior to the flood, what the world would be like without cops and a court system. Thank God for the courts and the police! Only a fool wants to “defund” the police. No, we need to defund the Black Lives Matter communist movement. If black lives matter so much, why don't the protesters and rioters care about the millions of black babies being aborted? 

At least 97% of police are good people! Sheriff Grady Judd has been transparent, sharing the details of local crimes. I was horrified as I listened to the briefings from the Polk County Police Department. The number of felonies is shocking. One man who committed murder had 230 previous felony charges against him! Some people cry out for harsher prison sentences, bigger prisons, and less mercy. But what we need is to put the Holy Bible back into children's daily lives and take away that demonic garbage of evolution. Children aren't stupid. Do you know what teaching the lies of evolution tells a child? It says: “We hate God and want to hurt you, so we are taking God away from you, and are lying to you about life.” If you don't believe that, listen to the daily news! Criminals don't care about anybody except themselves. It just shows how wicked the United States is today. 

The Word of God is the only solution! Psalms 119:9, “Wherewithal shall a young man cleanse his way? by taking heed thereto according to thy word.” Psalms 119:11, “Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.” Romans 10:17, “So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” There is nothing wrong with America today that couldn't be remedied by raising up a single generation of children who are taught the Holy Bible. Children need a moral compass! You're not going to brainwash a child for 40 hours a week in a public school with humanism, perversion, evolution and atheism, and then sensibly think that such a child will grow up undistributed.  Proverbs 23:7, “For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he: Eat and drink, saith he to thee; but his heart is not with thee.” Public schools are creating ticking time-bombs! 

People live wrong because they think wrong! If we're going to get people to think right, it starts in the early developmental years of a child. The Devil knows that, which is why liberals, leftists and Marxists have been pushing for mandatory preschool. Satan has a bid for your child! Today's churches and Bible colleges have sadly become mere entertainment centers, but the Word of God is ignored. Most Bible colleges don't even have the Word of God anymore, they've replaced it with a cheap counterfeit like the English Standard Version (ESV). We need to get back to the good old inspired King James Bible! I've been listening to Alexander Scourby read the Bible all week. I need God's Word, and so do you! If you want to clean up your life, then saturate your heart, mind and soul with God's Word!!! In this time of mass information, you have to choose to remain ignorant to stay ignorant of the truth.
