The Absolute Eternal Security Of The Believer

1st Peter 1:23, “Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.”

The inspired Holy Bible always speaks of the new birth in past tense. Our text verse says Christians have been “born-again,” not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by THE WORD OF GOD. The inspired Word of God is the “seed” by which we are born anew from above (cf. Luke 8:11). A human child is conceived by the “seed (sperm) of a man. Likewise, a child of God is conceived by the seed” of the inspired Word of God. Tragically, false converts are being conceived in hundreds of thousands of churches today by religion! Religion is the worst thing that ever happened to this world!!! No religion can get you to Heaven! You need a person, a capable Savior, and His blessed precious name is Jesus!

Eternal Life Is An Instantaneous New Birth, Not A Process

There is a dangerous theological trend today in many Bible colleges and churches today, which teaches salvation as a PROCESS instead of an instantaneous NEW BIRTH. This disturbing doctrinal trend is largely because of the corrupt Devil's Bible revisions which change verses like 1st Corinthians 1:18 from reading “are saved” to “are being saved,” which is extremely deceitful. I implore you dear reader to use only the King James Bible. A truly saved person is already born-again—it is a done deal—nothing else is required. Beware of false prophets like Evangelist Ray Comfort, Dr. Steve Pettit (president of Bob Jones University since 2014), and Evangelist Paul Washer, who errantly teach that the assurance of your salvation is conditional upon the life which you live. For example: Paul Washer says:
And the evidence that a person has repented unto salvation, at some past time, is that they continue repenting today. ...And the evidence that a person is saved, is not that at some point in time in their life they prayed and asked Jesus Christ to come into their heart. The evidence that someone is saved, is that they continue to walking in the narrow way.” [emphasis added] —Evangelist Paul Washer, YouTube sermon clip titled: “Paul Washer - LISTEN TO THIS!!!
Paul Washer is preaching another gospel of partial faith in Christ plus works! He keeps talking about “the evidence” that someone is saved, requiring a changed life to know that you are saved. Washer further teaches:
“If you have made the good profession. If you claim to have passed through the gate. If you have received baptism and a public declaration of your faith, and you begin to walk—it doesn't matter how long it appears you're walking in that path—if you step off that path and there's no disciple and you continue off that path, you can have no assurance whatsoever of your salvation! —Evangelist Paul Washer, YouTube sermon clip titled: “Paul Washer - LISTEN TO THIS!!!
Mr. Washer's teachings instill a horrible spirit of fear, worry and uncertainty in the soul of listeners. I have received countless testimonies from people who lived in misery and fear, because they could not stop sinning. One of the big problems with what Paul Washer is teaching is that no redeemed sinner can ever truly have the assurance they are 100% saved. How much sin is too much? At what point of walking off the path is our assurance of salvation jeopardized? At what point does a professed Christian suspect that they may never have been saved?

The apostle Paul said in 2nd Corinthians 13:5, “Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates?Isn't that so simple? Paul admonished the professed believers at the church of Corinth to make sure they were saved. The only evidence that Paul mentions is “HOW THAT JESUS CHRIST IS IN YOU! Dr. Bob Jones Sr. (1883-1968) reiterated Paul's words, rightly teaching:
“Men are not saved by analyzing the truth of the Gospel. They are saved by accepting the truth of the Gospel. It is true, whether men believe it or not. It is as true as the multiplication table. Men use the multiplication table to do what the multiplication table is supposed to do. The Gospel will do what it is supposed to do. 'It is the power of God unto salvation unto every one that believeth.'” —Dr. Bob Jones Sr., “Comments On Here And Hereafter,” chapter: Preaching, Evangelism, page 123; Bob Jones University Press, Inc., © 1942
Amen and amen! The only evidence that you are saved is that you have Jesus Christ in you! That is what the epistle of 1st John is all about. 1st John 3:24, “And he that keepeth his commandments dwelleth in him, and he in him. And hereby we know that he abideth in us, by the Spirit which he hath given us.” The apostle John says if you hate your Christian brother and love sin, it could be that you don't have Jesus in you; but the test is not whether or not there are willful sins in your life, it is whether or not you have Jesus Christ in you!!! Romans 8:9 calls the indwelling Holy Spirit the “Spirit of Christ.

Once Saved Always Saved Is 100% Biblical

We are NOT eternally saved by the repentance of our sins. We ARE eternally saved by repenting of our unbelief and believing in Jesus, who saves us from the eternal consequences of our sins. A believer CANNOT lose his or her salvation no matter what sins they do, or what good deeds they don’t do (even if they lose their faith for a time or commit suicide). Eternal life is eternal. God does not give temporal or probationary life. Jesus said those who believe in Him will “never perish” (John 6:47).

Saving faith does NOT include works. It is unbiblical to redefine “faith” or “belief” to include the obedience of good works, love, or discipleship. This is the deadly error of Seventh-Day Adventists, Mormons, Roman Catholics and Jehovah's Witness (which you can verify if you search online for their beliefs on repentance; I just provided links to some helpful articles I've written). We are saved entirely by what Jesus did for us, and not at all by what good and spiritual things we do after we believe in Jesus.

We are NOT saved by our changed life; we are saved by Jesus’ life, His death for our sins and His resurrection. Salvation is received, not achieved. It is God’s will that we live by His grace, by faith, by His love as born-again children of God; as his ambassadors, by his indwelling Holy Spirit in our spirit—but none of these things are requirements of eternal salvation or allowed for eternal salvation. Jesus provides salvation entirely through His finished work on the cross and His resurrection. Salvation is not doing your best, it is having Christ's best put to your account through receiving Him by faith.

Believers in Jesus are not under the law of Moses (Romans 3:19-20), we are alive (quickened) in the Spirit (Galatians 5:25). Salvation is a totally FREE GIFT (Romans 5:15-18). It is received by those who believe in Jesus and do not also include their own good works as part of what saves them. We are NOT saved by our verbal confession of faith in Jesus. Many of the Jewish chief rulers in John 12:42-43 “believed” on Jesus, but “did not confess Him” publickly, because they loved the praise of men more than the praise of God. Yet, they were 100% saved! This proves verbal confession is not required to be saved. These Jews were afraid they would be put out of the synagogue.

In the end, there are only sheep and goats. The sheep are saved, and the goats are damned. Those who believe in Jesus are His sheep. The most important thing is to believe on the name of Jesus. He shed His blood and died on the cross for the sins of everyone according to the Scriptures. Jesus was buried, and He physically resurrected from the dead three days later. Whosoever believes this Gospel (i.e., 'Good News') of Jesus is immediately and eternally and irrevocably saved. You must not add anything to your faith, or you won't get God's grace. If you add surrendering to Christ's Lordship, you don't get grace! If you add water baptism, you don't get grace. If you add turning away from sinful bad habits, you don't get grace. If you add running the race, persevering in holiness, or living a lifestyle of repentance, you don't get God's saving grace! You must simply believe the Good News!!!
“When you get dissed by men—the whole reason God allowed you to be dissed—is because He didn't want you to fit in! He don't want you to fit in with the world. He don't want you to fit in with the rest of the group! He don't want you to be just like them! 'Cause there is something special about you! There's an assignment for you. There's a call for you. There's an anointing for your life. God does not want you to fit in!” —Pastor John K. Jenkins Sr., “Being Dissed
