There's not a dime's difference between the New International Version (NIV) and all of the new modern corrupt Bible PERversions. They were all translated from the Satanic Greek fraudulent manuscripts of Brooke Westcott and Fenton Hort, published in 1881. Westcott and Hort butchered the Greek; Rudolph Kittel butchered the Hebrew. Let's examine the question: Do people come to Christ for salvation through the NIV? Here's a comparison between 1st Corinthians 1:18 in the King James Bible and the NIV...
KING JAMES BIBLE — 1st Corinthians 1:18, “For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.” [emphasis added]
NEW INTERNATIONAL VERSION — 1st Corinthians 1:18, “For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.” [emphasis added]
NEW INTERNATIONAL READER'S VERSION — 1st Corinthians 1:18, “The message of the cross seems foolish to those who are lost and dying. But it is God’s power to us who are being saved.” [emphasis added]
EASY-TO-READ VERSION — 1st Corinthians 1:18, “The teaching about the cross seems foolish to those who are lost. But to us who are being saved it is the power of God.” [emphasis added]Do you see how the NIV perverts salvation into a process? The NIV says that believers are “being saved,” but the King James Bible says we “are saved.” The NIV supports the Calvinistic heresy of the Perseverance of the Saints.
“The worst pervert in America is the Gospel pervert!” —Brother Lester Roloff, from the sermon, “The Gospel Perverts Or Jesus?”Getting saved is not a process, but sanctification is a process. We receive Christ as our Savior in a moment, but becoming Christlike requires a lifetime. You'd be surprised how many pastors believe this, yet use and promote the new Bible versions that deny this truth. As I have shown you, the new Bible versions pervert 1st Corinthians 1:18, turning salvation into a gradual process instead of an immediate new birth. The second spiritual birth is as instantaneous, permanent and irreversible as is the first physical birth.
Once Saved, Always Saved
If saved, always saved! The Bible DOES teach the eternal security of the Christian believer! Assurance of salvation and eternal security are not different doctrines from eternal life, they are all one and the same. That is, the man who has received God's gift of Eternal Life, is eternally secure and assured of Heaven. John 6:47, “Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me hath everlasting life.” A believer's assurance of salvation is not a separate teaching from eternal life, they are the same thing! The only type of life which God gives is Eternal Life! God does not give Temporal Life, or Probationary Life. The Bible teaches on the Day of Pentecost in Acts 2:41 that 3,000 souls were saved in just ONE DAY! There was no probationary period to examine them, to see if their life changed. Acts 2:41, “Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls.” Those 3,000 people were saved because they simply “GLADLY RECEIVED” the truth of the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ. Amen and amen!!! That is how you get saved—BY THE HEARING OF FAITH! Galatians 3:2, “This only would I learn of you, Received ye the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?” When you hear the blessed Gospel of free grace preached, and you BELIEVE WHAT YOU HEAR, you are immediate and forever born-again! You are not a redeemed child of God!!!
Salvation is not a process or a state, that you can drift in and out of, it is a new birth (which is instant, permanent and undoable). John 1:12-13, “But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.” Once you are saved, there is ABSOLUTELY NO WAY to ever forfeit or jeopardize the GIFT of eternal life which God has given you! You can (and should) write down the name, date, place and time that you received Jesus Christ as your personal Savior!!!
Dear reader, if you are saved, you CAN look back to one specific place and memory, where you received Jesus Christ as your personal Savior. You may not remember the exact date (like I don't, because I didn't think to jot it down back then), but I remember the place in an Independent Fundamental Baptist Church, on Chicago's northside, around 1980. I was 13 years old. I remember crying out from inside my soul for the first time in my life, that I personally went to the risen Savior to save me, and He gloriously did! Thank you Jesus!!!
“Now you listen to me folks! We're living in a world of compromising Christianity. I call it—'The yuppie generation building yuppie churches!' Brother, we need the old-time Gospel, the old-time religion, the faith of our fathers, and the standards that America used to have!” —Pastor Jack Hyles, “She Sojourned For Seven Years.”
