Jesus Is The Cure For Public Nudity

Mark 5:1-5, “And they came over unto the other side of the sea, into the country of the Gadarenes. And when he was come out of the ship, immediately there met him out of the tombs a man with an unclean spirit, Who had his dwelling among the tombs; and no man could bind him, no, not with chains: Because that he had been often bound with fetters and chains, and the chains had been plucked asunder by him, and the fetters broken in pieces: neither could any man tame him. And they come to Jesus, and see him that was possessed with the devil, and had the legion, sitting, and clothed, and in his right mind: and they were afraid.” 

The demon-possessed maniac of Gadarene ran around naked. There is a direct correction between how right with God a person is and modesty. A woman who goes to the beach in a bikini doesn't walk closely with God. There is a mindset that goes with walking with the Lord. I love something that Pastor Jack Hyles said in a sermon titled, “Unjust In The Least.” He said: “If you want to never do anything that is terribly wicked, then you never do anything that is slightly wicked.” A woman who will walk around in public in her underwear (which is all a bathing suit is), has a sinful heart. By wearing hardly any clothes in public, a woman tells everybody:

1. She doesn't fear God (Psalms 36:1)
2. She has low moral standards (I Timothy 2:9)
3. She doesn't care or understand how immodesty adversely affects men (I Peter 2:11)
4. She is more concerned with external beauty than inner beauty (I Peter 3:1-4)
5. She wants (or doesn't care) if men lust and commit adultery with her (Matthew 5:28)
6. She is cheap (Proverbs 31:10)
7. She is wearing the attire of a harlot (Proverbs 7:10)

I do not condemn anybody. I am simply teaching the Bible. I have tremendous respect for ladies who wear dresses, culottes, skorts, skirts and modest clothing. If a Christian woman truly loves Jesus, and humbly abides at His feet, she will dress like a lady. Let her that hath ears to hear, hear. I speak with a loving heart ladies. The demon-possessed maniac of Gadarene had been running around naked; but when the people later saw that same man, humbly sitting at Jesus' feet, he was in his sound mind wearing clothes! Jesus makes the difference!!!
