A Christian Cannot Be Possessed By A Demon

1st John 4:4-8, “Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world. They are of the world: therefore speak they of the world, and the world heareth them. We are of God: he that knoweth God heareth us; he that is not of God heareth not us. Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error. Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God. He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.”

God is greater in us, than Satan is in the world. Therefore, we never need to fear the Devil or his demons! God is the ONLY one we should fear the Bible says (Matthew 10:28). Fearing demons is superstition!  Remember dear saint of God, Jesus lives inside you as His child, and no demon can ever possess you! A Christian CANNOT be possessed by a devil, because our entire body is the TEMPLE of God's Holy Spirit. 1st Corinthians 3:16-17, “Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you? If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are." Contrary to popular thinking, God does not dwell in a religious building called “a church, He lives inside the physical body of every born-again believer! WE ARE THE CHURCH!!! I love that truth!!! So we see that the Holy Spirit lives inside every believer, and a demon cannot cohabit the same body and soul as the Holy Spirit.

The indwelling Holy Ghost is God the Father and God the Son, living inside our body in the form of God the Holy Spirit (Matthew 28:19-20). In Romans 8:9 the Holy Spirit is referred to as the “Spirit of Christ.” Literally, Jesus lives inside every believer's body and soul. The day we got saved, our spirit became united with God's Spirit. That is why the Bible says we are “HID WITH CHRIST IN GOD” (Colossians 3:1-3). I am so happy for that!

Every Believer Is Sealed With The Holy Spirit

The Bible also teaches that every born-again child of God is SEALED with the Holy Spirit Ephesians 1:13-14, “In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise, Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory.” It doesn't get any plainer than that! Every Christian is SEALED with God's Holy Spirit. The Bible doesn't say we're sealed “BY,” but “WITH” the Holy Spirit, because He actually lives inside us. I am so thankful for the gift of the Holy Spirit!!! That is another reason why I am against these corrupt modern Bible revisions, some of which are gender neutral, no longer revering to the Holy Spirit with the masculine pronoun “He.” The Holy Spirit is masculine Bubba! God is the FATHER. Jesus is the SON. The Godhead (Trinity) is all masculine, not feminine in the least!!!

Every Believer Has At Least Two Guardian Angels

Not only that, but the Bible says God has guardian angels who watch over us. Psalms 34:7, “The angel of the LORD encampeth round about them that fear him, and delivereth them.” So we have both the indwelling Holy Spirit, and guardian angels, protecting us against demonic attacks. The Bible teaches that every Christian has at least TWO guardian angels. Matthew 18:10, "Take heed that ye despise not one of these little ones; for I say unto you, That in heaven their angels do always behold the face of my Father which is in heaven." Carefully notice that the Bible refers to “THEIR ANGELS” (plural), so there are at least TWO angels watching over us, just waiting for the Father's next command.

Here is a very precious truth to tuck away in your pocket my friend. Daniel prayed, and immediately a spiritual battle began, which the Bible says took 21 days to resolve...
Daniel 10:12-13, “Then said he unto me, Fear not, Daniel: for from the first day that thou didst set thine heart to understand, and to chasten thyself before thy God, thy words were heard, and I am come for thy words. But the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me one and twenty days: but, lo, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me; and I remained there with the kings of Persia.
As we always learn in lessons on prayer in the Bible, the most important thing is to JUST PRAY, and let God take it from there! Our responsibility is simply to pray to our heavenly Father. What should we pray about? Philippians 4:6 says to pray about anything that is on our mind! The thing that stands out the most in the preceding account of Daniel, is that Daniel's prayer was heard FROM THE FIRST DAY! That encourages me to pray. As we read earlier, we have at least two guardian angels who continually behold the face of the Father, awaiting His next royal command concerning His saints.

Beware Of Superstition And Demonic Thinking

Demons cannot physically choke a person, as someone said happened to them. Demons are spiritually fallen, disembodied spirits, and have no physical way to do anything, so they need to possess an entity (an animal or a human). A demon can influence a Christian do commit sin, hurt others (evil), or commit suicide. Sinful television is a demonic influence! Alcohol and drugs can open doors to the spirit world. Demons can inspired people through movies, music, dancing, literature, false religion, counterfeit Bible versions, false prophets, acting. TV can stir unholy lusts and passions to commit horrible sins. Fake Bible versions can be used by demons to lead people to think they are saved, when they are not. The eye is the gateway to a man's soul. Demons can inspire Christians to sin or do evil things; but a demon cannot have physical intimacy with a human, as some false prophets teach.

When most people think of demon possession, they think of a madman running around naked, foaming at the mouth, throwing himself into a fire, like the maniac of Gadarene in Mark chapter 5. Demons put those thoughts into his head! However, some demon-possessed men smile for the crowds, like Chancellor Adolf Hitler. Herod was demon-possessed, no doubt, when he ordered the slaughter of thousands of precious babies in Judea, in an attempt to kill the Savior. We read in John 6:70 that Judas was possessed by a devil.Judas was one of Christ's very apostles! So we learn that anyone, even in the highest positions of power, can be possessed by a devil. Who could argue that Margaret Sanger (the evil founder of Planned Parenthood) had a devil in her! Today, nearly a century later, Planned Herodhood is still taking precious children's lives, murdering the masses through the evils of abortion.
Ephesians 2:2, “Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:
So, in a very real sense, EVERY UNSAVED PERSON has a devil in them, because Satan is their spiritual father (John 8:44). Dear friend, you are either a child of God or a child of the Devil. If you are not saved, that doesn't mean you are a bad person, or an evildoer, it just means that you are prone to think like Satan (evolution, humanism, communism, socialism, atheism Gnosticism, immorality, anti-christian views). It is really just a matter of how much control Satan has over a person's mind, and how much power they have to use it! When you take an evil man with demons and make him a dictator, you end up with North Korea today!

If we're not careful, even a Christian can start thinking like the Devil. Matthew 4:10, “Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.” Jesus said that to the apostle Peter! A Christian absolutely cannot be demon-possessed, it just won't happen; however, you can backslide into sin, and get so far away from God, that you start thinking just like the Devil. Jesus called Peter, Satan”! These shallow believers today who sanction 39 different Bible versions were inspired by demons! You show me a pastor who denies the inspiration of God's Word, and I'll show you a man who is inspired by demons. Dr. Jack Hyles said that:
“And brother, any time anybody ever casts any reflection upon the accuracy and the inspiration—verbal inspiration—of this Bible, I'll guarantee you he was inspired by the demons. I'll guarantee you! I don't care if he's got a 'reverend' in front of his name. I don't care if he has a clerical collar on. I don't care what school he's been to. He's of the Devil if he says that the Bible is not verbally inspired by God!” —Dr. Jack Hyles, a great quote from the awesome MP3 sermon titled, “Satan's masterpiece.”
I don't claim to be an expert on demon possession, and I don't think anyone can honestly claim they are, except for what the plain Word of God teaches us. I dare say less than 1% of professed Christians in America would ever think of former U.S. President George W. Bush as having a devil, but he murdered 1,455,590 innocent people in Iraq. I say he had a devil in him!!! They never did find any Weapons of Mass Destruction in Iraq (the whole excuse to go to war in the first place). Our nation stole trillions of dollars worth of Iraqi oil. We broke every one of God's Ten Commandments when we invaded Iraq. It was all so horribly evil. Americans sinned against our neighbours! We didn't do God's will, we did Satan's will! If that's not demon-possession, I don't know what is!!!

Here is a 6-part Bible study on “DEMONOLOGY by Pastor Curtis Hutson (1934-1995) from 1974.
