Our Help Is In The Name Of The Lord

Psalms 124:6-8, “Blessed be the LORD, who hath not given us as a prey to their teeth. Our soul is escaped as a bird out of the snare of the fowlers: the snare is broken, and we are escaped. Our help is in the name of the LORD, who made heaven and earth.

I sure love that passage of Scripture! Notice that the Bible plainly says God “made the heaven and the earth. There is no controversy if you believe the Holy Bible! I am so sick of the heathen world promoting the LIES of evolution (or better called: DEVILution). My friend, it takes far more faith to accept the insane claims of evolutionists, than it does to accept the inspired Word of God. The God who made heaven and earth is OUR HELPER!

The greatest Bible truth you'll ever learn, next to trusting Jesus Christ to save you, is that we continue living the Christian life the same way we were saved—by faith in the Lord. The churches today are plagued with heresy! Sadly, that includes many Independent Fundamental Baptist Churches (of which affiliation I am myself as a born-again Christian). All across the world, especially in America, Satan has crept a BIG LIE into the churches, which says that if you are really saved, you WILL turn from sin, surrender your life to Christ, and follow Him as Lord! That is unbiblical. What saith the Scripture? We are saved solely 'BY THE HEARING OF FAITH'! That is, you simply BELIEVE the 'GOOD NEWS' of Jesus Christ crucified, buried and risen when you hear or read it. ...
Galatians 3:2-3, “This only would I learn of you, Received ye the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith? Are ye so foolish? having begun in the Spirit, are ye now made perfect by the flesh?”
Many preachers will concede that a sinner is saved by grace alone through faith in Christ, but then they'll rear-load the Gospel, saying that you MUST live a certain way or else you didn't get saved. That is the false doctrine of Calvinism (aka, Lordship Salvation)!

I actually heard of a foolish Baptist preacher who berated a member of his church, for testifying on a Sunday morning that she had led three people to the Lord at work the previous week. The deceived minister said: “Well, we don't know if they really got saved or not, we'll have to watch their lives over time, to verify if they are really saved!” Folks, that is “ANOTHER GOSPEL, and it is 10,000 times more contagious and deadly than the media-hyped Coronavirus scare today. The Coronavirus may kill your body, but a false gospel will damn your body and soul to the Lake of Fire forever (Matthew 10:28; Revelation 20:11-15; 21:8). On the Day of Pentecost, the Bible says in Acts 2:41 that 3,000 people gladly received the Gospel and were saved. They didn't receive Probationary Life or Temporal Life, they received Eternal Life!

We live the Christian life the very same way that we were saved—BY FAITH! We don't reform (a false understanding of repentance for salvation) by turning away from our sins. We don't produce the changed life, the Holy Spirit does, as we are transformed by the renewing of our mind through studying the inspired Word of God (1st Peter 2:2). Jesus lives the Christian life THROUGH us, as we yield to the Spirit's leading by the Word of God...
Galatians 2:20, I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.
Colossians 3:3-4, “If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God. Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth. For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God.
Psalms 27:1, “The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?
1st Corinthians 1:26-31, “For ye see your calling, brethren, how that not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called: But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty; And base things of the world, and things which are despised, hath God chosen, yea, and things which are not, to bring to nought things that are: That no flesh should glory in his presence. But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption: That, according as it is written, He that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord.”
If there is anything good in me, it is the precious Lord Jesus Christ. When I sin, that is my own fault for choosing to walk in the flesh (Galatians 5:19-21). At any given time I can choose to walk in the Spirit (Galatians 5:22-25), but I won't always make that right choice, because I am a sinner by nature and by choice. Galatians 5:25, “If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.”

Dear friend, God doesn't need your strengths, talents, wisdom, abilities or money (although He can use them all for His purpose and glory), He wants your heart! ...
Proverbs 23:17, “Let not thine heart envy sinners: but be thou in the fear of the LORD all the day long.
Proverbs 23:26, My son, give me thine heart, and let thine eyes observe my ways.
Proverbs 3:5-7, “Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from evil.
If God has your HEART, then everything else will follow! The Christian life is not lived in our own human strength, anymore than salvation is obtained by human effort. We get saved by faith alone, and then we live from day to day BY FAITH. 2nd Corinthians 5:7, “(For we walk by faith, not by sight:)”
