DeHaan, his book: “THE TABERNACLE,” page 101Kindly, Pastor DeHaan was a brilliant man and an informed Christian, who had enough spiritual discernment before his death in 1965, to see that Satan is behind the constant effort to rewrite the Word of God. Today in 2020, we literally have HUNDREDS of existing English Bible revisions to choose from. Folks, that is apostasy! And anyone who sanctions this confusing mess is pulling on the same rope as the Devil. I say that lovingly, but truthfully. Pastor DeHaan's descendants, who continue to operate the 'Our Daily Bread' organization today, have dropped the ball for God in my humble opinion. I think it is awful that they use the modern Bible revisions in their publication. It confuses people! 1st Corinthians, “For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints.”
One of my regular web visitors contacted Our Daily Bread to protest their use and promotion of the corrupt Alexandrian Bible revisions. Here was the lame response from ODB: “In using some other translations we hope to get to the heart of the original language of Scripture.” In reality, the modern Bible versions were translated from an entirely different Hebrew and Greek source than the King James Bible. God only authored ONE BOOK, so there cannot be two original autographs! IT IS IMPOSSIBLE!!!
Furthermore, most of the modern Bible revisions are paraphrases, which are not based upon ANY ancient manuscript; they are merely the opinions of mortal sinful men, not inspired by God, and in many cases are Satanic in their perversion of God's pure Words! The horrible removal of God's promise in Psalms 12:6-7 to keep and preserve His pure Words is a perfect example of what I say. The modern Bible revisions assault key passages concerning Christ's deity and the Trinity, which were clearly done strategically, calculated and deliberately to blaspheme the Lord.
I wish the folks at Our Daily Bread today had the spiritual discernment of Dr. M.R. DeHaan, again who warned:

Be on guard my friend!!! 1st Peter 5:8-9, “Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world.” Amen and amen!
Satan Has Raised Up a Second Authority to Challenge God's Authority
If you have been tricked by the Devil, to accept a counterfeit Bible version, then effectively you are keeping the commandments of men (Mark 7:6-13). Eve was deceived by the crafty serpent (Satan). Whereas God had commanded Adam and Eve not to eat of the forbidden fruit, the serpent came along and questioned what God had said, thus introducing a SECOND AUTHORITY! Consequently, Eve was compelled to decide which of the TWO AUTHORITIES were correct!In other words, the serpent told Eve one thing, but God told her another; and now the ol' gal is stuck in the middle, having to decide who she should follow. The serpent had Eve over a barrel, once she listened to his lies. The Devil has the churches today over the same barrel—making churchgoers weak, vulnerable to deception and confused—concerning WHICH BIBLE did God author? Certainty God could not have authored ALL of them, because they drastically disagree (even in the less than 2% of texts in which they differ). Not surprisingly, those 2% of changes almost all contain perversions to the Godhead, Christ's deity, His preeminence, and other key doctrines.
If Eve had simply stuck with the inspired Word of God, and not allowed the serpent to give her a revised version of what God said, she never would have sinned and been ejected from the Paradise of God. Think about that. Eve was the first recorded human being in history, to listen and take heed to some very bad advice! To be honest, I don't trust these modern Bible revisions for as far as I can see! Something smells rotten in Denmark! These new Bible versions horribly change what it means to “repent” and be saved. Instead of simply telling the reader to: “repent ye, and believe the Gospel” in Mark 1:15b; the Easy-To-Read Version (ERV) says to “change your hearts and lives,” but that is NOT what it means TO REPENT! Repentance unto life is a change of mind, not a change of life. The latter is the heresy of Lordship Salvation, which has invaded churches today with a false Gospel.
Today, the Devil is shaking the faith of young people in the inspired Word of God, by introducing a SECOND AUTHORITY (i.e., the Alexandrian, Egypt, manuscripts upon which the modern revisions are based). We don't need another Bible, my King James Bible is just fine. It was good for my mother, it's good enough for me. It was good for my grandmother, it's good enough for me. It was good for Dwight L. Moody, it's good enough for me.
Brother Lester Roloff (1914-1982) had this to say:
“But you see, the attitude of this generation is: If you got a lot of education, Boy we've got it made! I mean that's it; I mean, you're just super-duper! ... Any kind of education that doesn't strengthen your faith in Jesus is an abomination!!! And the average college graduate comes out with less faith and less fire, than he had when he went in. I'm talking about in the Christian schools, in the seminaries, and in the Bible schools across this country; now that ought not be!” —Brother Lester Roloff, a needful quote from the MP3 sermon titled, “'THE LIVING BIBLE' EXPOSED!”Our churches are filled with people today who park their rear-end in 18 inches of pew three times a week, put a few dollars into an offering plate, and sing “Holy, Holy, Holy” each week, but they are worshipping God “IN VAIN” (as our text passage says) by using, promoting and selling the Devil's Alexandrian Bible versions. By “Alexandrian” I am referring to the corrupt Greek manuscripts (Sinaiticus and Vaticanus) which originated out of Alexandria, Egypt. These corrupt manuscripts were popularized in 1881 by two unsaved Anglican ministers, both members of the occult, named Brooke Westcott (1825-1901) and Fenton Hort (1828-1892).
I challenge you dear reader to examine the abundance of doctrinal evidence, comparing the modern Bible revisions against the time-tested benchmark of the King James Bible! For example: Look how 1st Timothy 3:16 has been corrupted in the new Bible. Also, please see 1st John 5:7. Look how they've all corrupted Matthew 8:2. The newer Bibles all remove Acts 8:37, which now teaches water baptism for salvation. I could literally spend several hours showing you what is wrong with today's Bible revisions, because I CARE.
The biggest problem I have run into as a faithful truth-telling Christian, are all the indifferent pastors, complacent Christians, and deadbeat Bible professors, who JUST DON'T CARE! They don't care one iota about the purity of the Holy Bible, nor do they care about the accuracy of the Gospel of free grace! The new Bibles pervert theology, by changing what it means to repent. I feel so sorry for church members today, because their trust is being woefully betrayed by ungodly pastors all across America, who reject the cold hard facts. Consequently, these bad pastors continue to bid Godspeed to false prophets, false Bibles, false repentance and a false gospel.
