How Beautiful Are The Feet

Romans 10:15, “And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!”

The Bible says that “THE FEET” of those who preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ are “beautiful.” This speaks of the soulwinner. Proverb 11:30, “The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life; and he that winneth souls is wise.” It is interesting that God calls the “feet” beautiful. God could have called the lips beautiful, or the mouth, but he said, “the feet.” Why the feet? It's because it is with one's feet that we carry  the Gospel (i.e., Good News) of Jesus Christ to lost sinners.

The most eloquent speaker in all the world is useless if he has idle feet. The most charming person, who may possess a great wealth of Bible knowledge, is useless if he or she is unwilling to take the message of Jesus Christ crucified, buried and risen to lost sinners (1st Corinthians 15:1-4). The praise of God goes to the soulwinner (Daniel 12:3).

Jesus confronted the Samaritan woman in John 4:7-26 with the Gospel. God told Philip to confront the Ethiopian Eunuch with the Gospel in Acts 8:29. In Mark 16:15, Jesus said, “GO ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.” Sadly, very few believers today are soulwinners. The reason why is because very few Christian leaders teach about eternal punishment anymore, which is virtually a denial of the Christian faith altogether. It is the Christian believer's duty to share the Gospel with the lost. 1st Corinthians 9:16, “For though I preach the gospel, I have nothing to glory of: for necessity is laid upon me; yea, woe is unto me, if I preach not the gospel!”

SHAME ON US! (MP3 by Pastor Jack Hyles)

The Biblical Mandate to Go Soulwinning

There is no call to be a soulwinner. Every believer is commanded to preach the Gospel. Proverb 11:30 says they who win souls are “wise.” Therefore, the believer who fails to share the Gospel with others is foolish. Life is short, Hell is hot, and eternity is a long time!!!

Hell is real my friend. I know this is true because I know that the Holy Bible is true. God has given us numerous “proofs” of the divine origin of the Bible. One such proof is the manner in which the Holy Bible came into man's possession. God used approximately 40 different men, over a historical period of 1700 years. These men had significantly different backgrounds, spoke different languages, came from different nations, possessed various levels of education, and most of them never met each other. This is how the 66 inspired books of the Bible came into man's possession. These 66 books perfectly harmonize into one book, containing 31% prophecy, completely understandable. The miracle by which God has given His divine Word to humanity is not only astronomically improbable, but absolutely IMPOSSIBLE! This is PROOF of the Bible's divine origin.

People need to be born-again to escape the wrath of God (John 3:36; Romans 5:9; 2nd Thessalonians 1:8-9). Philippians 2:16 warns that any labor done for Christ not involving the preaching of the Gospel is void. Philippians 2:16, “Holding forth the word of life; that I may rejoice in the day of Christ, that I have not run in vain, neither laboured in vain.” You have done nothing for God if you leave off the Gospel. Without the preaching of the Gospel, there is no rejoicing in Heaven in the presence of the angels (Luke 15:10), because no one is getting saved. The Gospel of Jesus Christ is the Word of Life (Ephesians 1:13). A so-called “ministry is no ministry at all if the Gospel is not preached to the lost.

Most religious and charitable organizations in the world today couldn't care less about preaching The Gospel of Jesus Christ crucified, buried and risen. Jesus is the only begotten Son of God, the Christ (John 20:31). By faith we become the children of God (Galatians 3:26). It is Jesus' precious literal blood that washes our sins away (1st John 1:7; Hebrews 9:12; Revelation 1:5). Jesus doesn't forgive sins! That is correct! Jesus has already paid for our sins with His blood. Thus, forgiveness of sins is a gift that need only be freely accepted. When you believe the Gospel, Oh sinner, you have received God's gift of forgiveness and eternal life (Ephesians 2:8-9).

God deliver us from apostate religious groups, who never go soulwinning, who are doing more harm to the cause of Christ than good. The main cause of Christ is getting people saved, not leading people to live the Christian life. America needs SOULWINNERS!!! In Mark 1:17 Jesus said He would make His disciples to become “fishers of men.” Amen!

2nd Corinthians 5:10 teaches that every believer will give account to God at the Judgment Seat of Christ, for the good AND the bad done in our earthly body. The next verse says, “Knowing therefore the TERROR OF THE LORD, we persuade men...” This Scripture is seldom preached about. God is going to judge each believer concerning the effort we spend, or fail to spend, trying to get lost sinners saved with the Gospel. 1st Corinthians 3:7-9 plainly teaches that God will give EVERY believer his OWN reward, according to his OWN labour—“So then neither is he that planteth any thing, neither he that watereth; but God that giveth the increase. Now he that planteth and he that watereth are one: and every man shall receive his own reward according to his own labourFor we are labourers together with God: ye are God's husbandry, ye are God's building.

The very notion that Jesus only intended for His apostles to preach the Gospel, or pastors today, is unbiblical. The Bible never says that only ministers are to preach the Gospel. The Gospel is truth and Ephesians 4:25 says, “speak every man truth with his neighbour.” People need to hear about the Lord and how to be saved. Proverb 14:25, “A true witness delivereth souls: but a deceitful witness speaketh lies.”

Laying Up Treasures in Heaven

Hell is a literal place that burns with fire. Revelation 21:8 speaks about the “second death” and the “lake which burns with fire and brimstone.” Why would God only want Christian leaders to preach the Gospel, when even a child can share the Good News of Christ crucified, buried and risen with the lost?

It makes me want to go vomit when I see MILLIONS of fans praising singers' Amy Grant,  Michael W. Smith, Sandi Patty and countless other Contemporary Christian Music (CCM) singers, none of which preach the Gospel to their fans. Where's Waldo? I mean where's the Gospel? These people all have beautiful voices to sing, but they have ugly feet that do not carry the Gospel to the lost! Does your church have UGLY FEET?

Oh Christian, it is my heart's desire for you to become a Soul-winner, that others may be saved, and that you may “lay up for yourselves treasures in Heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal” (Matthew 6:20). What a wonderful investment opportunity! We hear so much advertising on TV about premiere investment opportunities in real estate, gold and so forth; but the only eternal investment you can make is by laying up treasures in Heaven by serving God.

LET'S GO SOULWINNING! (by Pastor Jack Hyles)

The greatest treasures of all in Heaven, will be the souls of those who were saved through our soulwinning efforts. Certainly, we cannot save anybody, for salvation is of the Lord; but God uses the yielded Christian as a vehicle, by which the Gospel is preached unto the lost (1st Corinthians 3:6-8). This is why God calls the Soul Winner's feet, “beautiful.” And that is why the Bible calls us “AMBASSADORS,” who represent Christ to lost sinners in His absence. We have been given the divine commission to reconcile men to God with the Gospel of peace. 2nd Corinthians 5:20, “Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God.The Gospel brings peace between man and God. Romans 5:1, “Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:

Every Christian is commanded by God to preach the Gospel. How exactly do you preach the Gospel anyway?—by simply telling someone how you got saved. It's that simple. We are SINNERS and Jesus is the SAVIOR. Salvation happens when a person acknowledges their guilt of sin, and comes to God on that basis; believing on Jesus, the Christ, the Son of God, to forgive their sins (Acts 10:43).

Salvation is as simple as walking through a door. Jesus said in John 10:9, “I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture.” Also, consider Luke 8:11-15, the Parable of the Seeds...
“And that which fell among thorns are they, which, when they have heard, go forth, and are choked with cares and riches and pleasures of this life, and bring no fruit to perfection. But that on the good ground are they, which in an honest and good heart, having heard the word, keep it, and bring forth fruit with patience” (Luke 8:14-15).
Jesus said that he who has “an honest and good heart” obeys the Scripture and will bring forth fruit with patience. This again speaks of the Soulwinner. A believer who loves Jesus Christ, and understands that eternal punishment awaits all Christ-rejecting sinners, will have a burden for lost souls. There is not enough teaching of eternal punishment in today's church pulpits. Consequently, few believers have a burden for lost souls anymore; therefore, very few believers go soulwinning.

Many Bible students misinterpret the Parable Of The Sower And The Seeds as pertaining to salvation, but that is not the case at all. This parable is all about maturing in the Lord to bear fruit. Luke 8:11 identifies the seed as the Word of God.” Some people hear the Gospel, but never get saved (Luke 8:12). Many believers have shallow roots, quitting when persecution comes, dropping out of church (Luke 8:13). Other believers are choked by the cares, riches and pleasures of this world, bringing forth NO FRUIT to perfection (Luke 8:14). The Bible plainly teaches that the seed which fell upon good ground became soulwinners. God's desire is for EVERY believer to mature to become a soulwinner, a witness for Jesus Christ to this lost and dying world of sinners! Will you heed the Master's call dear reader?

You don't need to attend religious seminary (most of which are cemeteries) in order to be a Soulwinner. You just need to know how you got saved yourself. Most people errantly think they have to DO something to merit Heaven, but the Bible says Jesus has already DONE IT ALL!!! We are saved by faith in Jesus' work of redemption. Salvation is ceasing from our own self-righteous works, and completely resting in the finished redemptive work of Jesus Christ. Hebrews 4:10-11, “For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his. Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief.”

Most professed Christians today have ugly feet, because they have no burden for lost souls, and fail to take the Gospel to those who desperately need it. I challenge you, whoever you may be, to have beautiful feetPhilippians 2:15-16, “That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world; HOLDING FORTH THE WORD OF LIFE; that I may rejoice in the day of Christ, that I have not run in vain, neither laboured in vain.”
