All Things Were Created To Please And Glorify God

Isaiah 43:7, “Even every one that is called by my name: for I have created him for my glory, I have formed him; yea, I have made him.”

1st Corinthians 6:20, “For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.”

Revelation 4:11, “Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.”

A foundational Bible principle is that all things were created for God's pleasure. Every human being was created to glorify God. That is our purpose on earth. Ecclesiastes 12:13, “Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.” Our purpose for existence is to glorify God. We glorify God when we obey Him and keep His commandments.

When we sin we're not giving glory to God, we bring shame to Him. Especially as Christians, we are bought with a price the Bible teaches. That price is the precious blood of Jesus (1st Peter 1:18-19). 1st Corinthians 6:20, “For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.” If you are a born again believer, your body and spirit belong to God, by both creation and redemption.

This is why the Apostle Paul said in Romans 12:1, “I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.” God does not require anything from us in return for saving us. Eternal life is a free gift, paid for by the precious body and blood which Jesus sacrificed for our sins.

Even though we are not debtor to repay Christ's payment for our sins, it is only reasonable that we lay down our life as a living sacrifice. It is not required, but it is appropriate and ethical. The Lord is so good that even after all He has done to rescue us from eternal damnation in Hell, He is going to reward us for all of our labors for Him (1st Corinthians 3:8). God is so good. Isaiah 43:7, “Even every one that is called by my name: for I have created him for my glory, I have formed him; yea, I have made him.” God is worthy of our sincerest praise and gratitude.

Most religious people are phonies. They attend church and superficially praise God, sing religious songs and go through all the motions of playing church. Matthew 15:7-8, “Ye hypocrites, well did Esaias prophesy of you, saying, This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me.” Pensacola Christian College is a prime offender. They are like the sinking Titanic ship. The grew and passengers are arranging deck chairs up on top, while the frigid icy Atlantic ocean is fast flooding into the leaking compartments and the ship is going down.

The churches today are apostate and pathetic. They have replaced preaching with entertainment. They have substituted the old hymns of the faith with lifeless Contemporary Christian Music (CCM). The new music s awful, lacking pretty melody, beautiful harmony and the profound meaning of lyrics that the old time hymns of the faith had. Today's music is garbage! There is no Holy Spirit conviction anymore in churches. No wonder church attendance is now at an all-time low in the United States,

Pastor Jack Hibbs' Counterfeit Plan Of Salvation

Galatians 1:6-8, “I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel: Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ. But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.”

I listened to a horrible sermon today by Pastor Jack Hibbs titled, "Are You Going To Heaven?"

Jack Hibbs starts off getting it wrong by falsely teaching you must be called by God to be saved. This is the heresy of Calvinism, specifically the Devil's lie of "Limited Atonement." What saith the Scripture? John 12:32, “And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me.” Jesus calls ALL MEN to be saved! Christ died for all men and desires for ALL MEN to come to Him in faith to be saved. 1st John 2:2, “And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.” Kindly said, Jack Hibbs is a theological liar. Jesus died for the whole world, not just for those who would believe in Him. God draws ALL MEN to salvation (Titus 2:11).

Secondly, Jack Hibbs gets it wrong in his false teaching when he foolishly says that being "born again" means having a radical change in your behavior. No, that is not what it means. All humans are born spiritually dead. When Adam chose to sin, he opened the floodgate of sin and death upon the world (Romans 5:12). Since Adam all humanity have been born spiritually dead, alienated from God who is a Spirit (John 4:24). Being born again means that you've been born anew by the Holy Spirit of God, but this has NOTHING to do with your behavior. The Bible is full of saints who lived sinful lives all their days on earth (Lot, Esau, Samson, Solomon, Demas, et cetera).

Jack Hibbs also gets repentance wrong! Hibbs uses the unbiblical phrase, "Repent of your sins," which is false doctrine. The Bible mentions repentance "toward God" in Acts 20:21. The Bible mentions repentance from "dead works" in Hebrews 6:1. The Bible mentions repentance to "acknowledge the truth" in 2nd Timothy 2:25. But nowhere can you show me in an inspired King James Bible where it says to repent "of your sins" to get to Heaven. Wicked men added those extra words to God's Word (Proverbs 30:5-6).

At 32:25 in his audio sermon, Pastor Hibbs says that no one has ever been saved by merely believing on the Lord Jesus Christ. He insists that you must also repent. That is true. Yes, you must repent to be saved. But the fact that when asked, "Sirs, what must I do to be saved?," Paul and Silas told the Philippian jailer, "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved," proves that the man who BELIEVES has repented. That is, repenting is included in believing. If it weren't, then Paul and Silas would have told the jailer to "Repent and believe on the Lord Jesus Christ," but they didn't!

Bible repentance is simply "a change of mind." If you change your mind to BELIEVE the Gospel, you are saved. You must change your mind to admit two facts:

1. WHO YOU ARE (you are a sinner)
2. WHO JESUS IS (He is the Savior)

If you agree with those facts and place your childlike truth (reliance, faith) in Jesus death on the cross, burial and bodily resurrection three days later, you are saved forever.

At 39:30 in his terrible sermon, Jack Hibbs says you are not saved unless people see a change in your life. That is unbiblical nonsense! The new birth only gives you one thing, the gift of the indwelling Holy Spirit. But this is just the beginning. A new believer is as helpless as a new born physical baby who cannot even crawl yet. Just as a baby must be nourished and grow, so also must a new convert feed on the Word of God to grow (1st Peter 2:2).

Beware of Pastor Jack Hibbs' counterfeit gospel. Biblically, according to Romans 6:1 you CAN live like the Devil and still have 100% assurance that you are saved. Romans 6:1, “What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound?” A believer ought not continue living in sin, but that is exactly what we all do! No one is righteousness, no not one (Romans 3:10). When we sin as believers, God's saving grace much more abounds, so that we never need to worry again about missing Heaven and going to Hell. If you think that a Christian cannot have eternal security while choosing to live in sin (which is the trash that Ray Comfort teaches), then you need to get saved dear friend. I will end with a great quote from my ministry friend, Pastor Ralph Yankee Arnold...

“'You can't tell me you can trust Christ as Savior, and then go out here and live like the Devil, and still go to Heaven!' Yes, I can tell you that! That's what the Bible says. If you don't come to the conclusion, that—Yes, you can trust Christ as your Savior and live like the Devil, and still go to Heaven when you die—you don't get grace, because that is the exact truth! That is the truth! I do not have to change my life! I don't have to stop one sin! You say, 'I've never heard a preacher say that.' You just heard one! And you listen to me—I want to live as holy and as godly as I possibly can. I am now 70 years old. I've been saved for 52 years. ... the only reason I'm going to Heaven is because, 52 years ago in a little living room, I accepted Christ as my Savior.” —Pastor Ralph Yankee Arnold, “Calvinism And Grace Are NOT Compatible”

Spirit Filled Listening

Matthew 13:14-15, “And in them is fulfilled the prophecy of Esaias, which saith, By hearing ye shall hear, and shall not understand; and seeing ye shall see, and shall not perceive: For this people's heart is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes they have closed; lest at any time they should see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and should understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them.”

Galatians 3:2, “This only would I learn of you, Received ye the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?”

Hebrews 5:11, “Of whom we have many things to say, and hard to be uttered, seeing ye are dull of hearing.”

All my life I have heard preachers in their sermons talk about Spirit-filled preaching, but I have never heard anyone mention Spirit-filled hearing. The emphasis has always been upon the preacher being filled with the Holy Spirit, and not upon the listeners in the audience being filled with the Holy Spirit. That is very interesting.

I attended a local revival meeting this week in Pensacola. The visiting evangelist is a good guy. I enjoyed meeting him. He went out of his way before each revival service to personally shake everybody's hand in the auditorium, which I admire. He came up and warmly greeted me before each service and shook my hand. I thought it was important that he did that, connecting with the audience. Bravo for him! I love friendly preachers.

Having said that, this Christian Brother's preaching was mediocre at best, dry. He definitely wouldn't have won a preaching contest! A young fella (I think he was an older teenager) had asked me after the service if I liked the preaching. I don't think it is ever ethical to criticize a preacher, so I said that I enjoyed the preaching. Even though I thought the preaching was mediocre at best, I wasn't lying, which is the point of this blog, as I will explain in a moment. I told the young man that I wish the 3-day revival would last for 7-days instead, and I really meant that. I love and need revivals! We all need Bible preaching!!!

The truth is that you can hear even the worst sermon ever, and yet you will still feel convicted by the indwelling Holy Spirit and go home edified if you are filled with the Holy Spirit. I never hear a sermon that God doesn't use to speak to my heart. The reason why is because I am a Spirit-filled listener. I am not talking about being saved (i.e., indwelt by the Holy Spirit). I am talking about choosing to Walk in the Spirit. Once you get saved, you are indwelt and sealed with the gift of God's Holy Spirit instantly and forever (Romans 8:9; 1st Corinthians 3:16-17; Ephesians 1:13-14; 1st John 3:23). Galatians 5:25, “If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.” That is, if you are saved, walk in the Holy Spirit who lives in you. We walk in the Spirit by yielding to the Spirit's leading as we abide in God's written Word. The Holy Spirit NEVER leads any believer contrary to the Scriptures!

I heard a young Texas woman many years ago who had made the national news. She had auditioned nine times to become a Dallas Cowboys cheerleader for the football team, but she failed every audition. Thousands of women were applying. In an interview with a news reporter, the frustrated young woman said: “I know it is God's will for me to be a Dallas Cowboy's cheerleader, so I am praying for it to happen.” I knew immediately that she is a liar, and that it is not God's will for her to become a Dallas Cowboy cheerleader! How do I know that? I know because the Bible teaches in 1st Timothy 2:9-10, “In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with broided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array; But (which becometh women professing godliness) with good works.” Take a look at a simple web search on Duck Duck Go for how the whorish Dallas Cowboy cheerleaders dress!!! They are wicked women without biblical high moral standards. I can tell you without hesitation that it is NEVER God's will for any Christian woman to strip down nearly naked, and then sinfully gyrate like a slut in public in front of millions of lustful people to gaze upon. SHAME on that young woman for laying such wickedness at the Lord's door.

How do you become a Spirit-filled listener? It is very simple. Just ask God to speak to your heart as you listen to the sermon. If you seek God's presence you will find it. God promises in James 4:8, “Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded.” You can take this promise to the bank dear friend. God's inspired Word is trustworthy!

Also, the Bible doesn't promise that God will only draw nigh to some believers, but to all who draw near unto Him. Of course, if you have never been born again by faith alone in Jesus Christ, then you are an outsider and not one of Christ's sheep. You have no right to anything from God, except to know that God's wrath is upon you (John 3:36; Psalms 7:11). But if you are a born again saint, then Hebrews 4:14-16 encourages you to “boldly” approach God's throne to obtain mercy to find grace to help in time of need. No child of God, even despite the sins which you allow in your life, should ever feel reluctant to come before your heavenly Father's throne. No child of God is “worthy” to come before God's throne of their own accord or merit, but only by the blood of the Lord Jesus Christ (Revelation 5:9).

If you listen to a sermon with a tender, submissive and broken heart toward God, desiring to learn the truth, the Holy Spirit will speak to your soul. Likewise, if the sermon contains false doctrine and unbiblical ideas, the Holy Spirit will also convict you that something is wrong. I don't care if a preacher is Spirit-filled or not, if you are Spirit-filled you will receive a blessing. So when the young man asked me if I liked the preaching, I truly did, even though I knew that I had heard much better preaching elsewhere. 

The Bible warns that it is unwise to compare ourselves among ourselves. The reason why is obvious, because God has given to each of us different resources, personalities, talents, opportunities, parents, blessings, friends, abilities and gifts. 2nd Corinthians 10:12, “For we dare not make ourselves of the number, or compare ourselves with some that commend themselves: but they measuring themselves by themselves, and comparing themselves among themselves, are not wise.” So with this in mind I do not compare preachers, because God has dealt differently with every man. Who am I to sit in judgment upon any preacher? I am just a humble wretched sinner saved by God's wondrous grace.

Now, having said that, I do judge and preach against false prophets, which Christian men are exhorted to do (Titus 1:9-14; Jude 1:3). I pay attention when I listen to a sermon. I am blessed to have been saved already for 43 years. So I have learned a thing or two along the way in life. I know good preaching when I hear it. But f I don't particularly care for a sermon, I do not haughtily look down with a critical spirit upon dry, cold or less fervent preachers. I LOVE BIBLE PREACHERS!!! I LOVE BIBLE PREACHING!!!

Having said that, I will speak up and express my humble disagreement with a preacher if I disagree with something that he said. Albeit, as a general rule I always show respect for the pulpit. If I visit another church it is not my place to critique the pastor or guest preachers. So I try to be ethical and keep my mouth shut. I think we should be quick to speak praise, but very slow and reluctant to be negative. Attitudes are contagious, whether good or bad. I desire and strive to generate a positive attitude of reinforcement at church, especially in the eyes of the young people, toward the church pulpit. I am a Baptist preacher, but that doesn't give me the right to try to change a church from the bottom up by criticizing the church's leadership.

I wrote this blog to teach everyone the importance of being a Spirit-filled listener. Even if the sermon is dry, lacking in substance, and the preacher is boring and devoid of zeal, you can still be blessed by God and take home a blessing if you apply what truths you hear to your life.

I greatly enjoy just being in the presence of other Christian brethren and sisters in Christ. They are my spiritual family in the Lord, and I love them all. My goal is not to be loved in return, because I do not set myself up to be discouraged and disappointed if they don't. My goal is to love everyone unconditionally with God's love, and it doesn't matter how they respond. 2nd Corinthians 12:15, “And I will very gladly spend and be spent for you; though the more abundantly I love you, the less I be loved.”

I also want to mention something fascinating that I've never heard any preacher teach. I don't claim to be smarter or have any special insight into the Scriptures. We all have the same free grace salvation, the same Holy Spirit, the same inspired King James Bible, et cetera. One day I realized in Acts chapter two, on the Day of Pentecost, that no one present spoke in tongues. The Bible says that the Apostle Peter preached in his own native tongue (Greek), but the thousands of Jews present from at least 16 different countries mentioned, all HEARD every man in their own language. Acts 2:6, “Now when this was noised abroad, the multitude came together, and were confounded, because that every man heard them speak in his own language.” There was no miracle of Speaking in Tongues on the Day of Pentecost, but there was a miracle of Hearing in Tongues. Amen!

Dear reader, may we all be Spirit-filled listeners when we hear Bible preaching. Pray and ask God's Holy Spirit to prepare and tender your heart, to be sensitive to the leading of the blessed Holy Spirit in accordance with the precious eternal Word of God.

You cannot point people to Jesus Christ while simultaneously teaching the traditions of men. Mark 7:9, “And he said unto them, Full well ye reject the commandment of God, that ye may keep your own tradition.” John 4:24 plainly teaches that God must be worshipped in TRUTH, not the traditions of men. What a deception!!! Benny Hinn is pulling on the same rope as the Devil. Hinn is guilty of helping promote the prisonhouse of Roman Catholicism, the biggest religious CULT in the world today!

Women Belong At Home Preparing Dinner

Isaiah 3:12, “As for my people, children are their oppressors, and women rule over them.  O my people, they which lead thee cause thee to err, and destroy the way of thy paths.”

Call me old-fashioned, but I believe a woman belongs in the home, and so does God. 1st Timothy 5:14-15, “I will therefore that the younger women marry, bear children, guide the house, give none occasion to the adversary to speak reproachfully. For some are already turned aside after Satan.” We are living in wicked times when nobody wants to do things God's way anymore. Feminism is destroying America!

There is nothing demeaning about a woman staying at home to work as a mother and a wife. What is demeaning is when young women enter the workforce and forfeit marriage and motherhood. But don't take my word for it as a fundamentalist Bible preacher. According to the experts at Psychology Today, the most miserable group of people in the United States are single women in their forties. I have heard delusional feminists saying that age 40 is the new 20. You're a fool if you buy into that lie. By age 40 a woman is at the end of her child bearing years, and it becomes increasingly more difficult to get pregnant.

I think it is insane that young women are having their eggs frozen so they can pursue careers instead. The inspired Holy Bible teaches that young women are to get married, not mess around with sex before marriage. We're got a bunch of fornicators all across America today, who are getting pregnant out of wedlock, and then they want to have an abortion, which is wickedness and detrimental to one's spiritual and mental well being. Fornication is a horrible sin! Yet, our ungodly American society and perverse companies like Walt Disney, promote premarital sex as if it should be the "norm." God calls it sin, which brings the judgment of God...

Colossians 3:3-7, “For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God. When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory. Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry: For which things' sake the wrath of God cometh on the children of disobedience: In the which ye also walked some time, when ye lived in them.”

It is NOT okay to sleep around before you find the right one in marriage. It is sad and tragic that courtship before marriage is a thing in the distant past in America. The beauty of a healthy courtship is what makes for a healthy and stable lifelong marriage later on. But fornicating with a bunch of people prior to marriage (if that person ever even bothers to get married) is a recipe for heartache, shame and a lifetime of regret. We are living in perilous times the Bible says in 2nd Timothy 3:1-7. American youth are becoming so horrible! We've been seeing smash & grab robberies all across the country over the past 15 years, all committed by gangs of irresponsible immoral youth. Where are their parents? It is obvious that they had lousy parents who raised them. Likely most of them didn't have a father figure in the home.

God's plan is for young people to save themselves until marriage. If you have already thrown away your virtue, then know that God loves you dear friend. We all make mistakes, bad decisions and commit sin. Everyone is a dirty sinner in God's holy sight. That is why God sent His only begotten Son into the world to die on a cross, to pay for our sins. God did this because He love everyone unconditionally. Christ died for everyone (1st John 2:2).

But to reiterate what the Holy Bible teaches, a woman's place is in the home. Call me what you will, but I believe the inspired Word of God. Isaiah 3:12, “As for my people, children are their oppressors, and women rule over them.  O my people, they which lead thee cause thee to err, and destroy the way of thy paths.” With all the capable and strong men to lead American society, it is wrong and ridiculous to see woman in high positions of power ruling over women. It wasn't that way 100 years ago, in the good old days! Look at the gigantic mess that our country is in today. Feminism is of the Devil. If you don't agree with that, you will one day when you enter into eternity and stand before almighty God.

It is tragic to see women so accustomed to working, that they cannot even begin to picture themselves becoming a stay at home wife and mother. The greatest role God ever created was that of a mother. Yet, in these perverted times in American culture, stay at home traditional mothers (often disparagingly called "Trad Moms") are mocked, ridiculed and put down as slaves to dominant men to whom they're married. Sadly, nothing could be farther from the truth! The happiest women in America are traditional mothers who stay home to care for the home and prepare dinner, with traditional husbands who go to work and pay all the bills, and traditional children who have the same gender as they were born with. NBC can stick their "a new kind of family" homosexual promoting television shows where the sun don't shine!

Please understand that I do not write blogs to upset anyone. I am simply a born-again Christian who believes that the right way is still the old-fashioned way, when men ruled over women as the Bible teaches (Genesis 3:16), and women were submissive, humble, sweet, obedient, feminine, shamefaced, quiet, modest, virtuous, meek and loving (1st Peter 3:1-4). Today's angry, rebellious, boisterous, whorish, immodest, feminist, loud mouth, ungodly court empowered, arrogant, American female is toxic! No wonder marriage is now at an all-time low in the United States!!! New marriages are at record low rates in America. Men are going their own way (MGTOW). I honestly cannot blame them! Getting married in the U.S. today is a risky thing to do.

Albeit, shacking up is ungodly and 100% a violation of Scripture. Marriage is necessary to protect both spouses. A legally binding marriage prevents one's spouse from committing adultery and potentially infecting you with STD's (sexually transmitted diseases). A legal marriage prevents one's spouse from abandoning you without any consequence. The very idea that a man and woman can get married, and then one or both just call it quits and walk away from the marriage is wrong, evil and Satanic! Marriage is for life!!! If you have a problem with that then get right with God!!! People look for and make all kinds of excuses to justify divorcing their spouse, but Jesus said from the beginning it was not so (Matthew 19:8).

In Joshua 24:15 in the Old Testament, Joshua exclaimed, "And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD."

I rushed out of my Wednesday evening service and out to the airport in time to catch a 10:00 plane for Atlanta, Georgia, and on to Greenville, South Carolina, where I was to speak for a few days at the Bob Jones University. I got to the airport just in time to get the last seat on the plane. I sat down beside a little lady whose hair was in rollers. She was obviously not dressed for traveling. I could tell, however, that she was of some means, for she had a beautiful diamond ring as well as a diamond pin. Courteously I spoke to her and sat down. The next thing I knew we were landing in Cincinnati, Ohio, for a brief layover. I was awakened by the touch of the wheels on the runway. As I roused, the little lady beside me shocked me by saying, "How could you do what you did?"

Not realizing what I had done, I inquired as to what she meant.

She said, "We have been through a terrible storm. We have been afraid and nervous, and all the time you just snored away. How could you do that during a storm?"

I replied that I did not know the circumstances but perhaps there were at least two reasons why I could sleep through a storm on an airplane: The first reason was that I fly tens of thousands of miles a year on commercial airliners. The second reason I told her was, "My Father owns the airplane."

She looked at me with a puzzled look on her face and said, "Do I understand you correctly? Your father owns this plane?'

"Yes," I said, "He owns the entire Delta Airlines system." This really aroused her curiosity until I continued. "He not only owns the Delta Airlines, but He also owns the American Airlines."

`Do I understand you correctly?" she asked. "You are the heir to the Delta and the American Airlines."

"That is right," I replied. "That is not all. He owns the Eastern Airlines, the Braniff Airlines, Ozark, United, Continental, and others."

By this time she was completely beside herself in ecstasy. "What an honor," she said, "to ride with such a person whose father is so wealthy." Then she asked the name of my father.

I replied that He was the Heavenly Father. When I said these words, she broke out weeping so that folks all around us could hear her. Her body shook as tears poured from her eyes.

"You must be a minister," she said.

"Yes, I am," I replied, "but I am also a Christian."

Then she told me an unusual story. She had worked her husband's way through college, sacrificing her own college education so that he might attain one. He had become very successful and was the manager of a large firm. With the passing of years, he had become ashamed of his wife because she was less educated than he, and now he was suing her for a divorce. When she heard of this, she attempted suicide. (This was just a few minutes before she got on the plane.) Some friends had brought her to the airport, and put her on the airplane to send her to Atlanta, Georgia, where her sister lived.

She looked at me and continued talking, "Oh sir, how unusual that a minister would sit beside me. Just a few minutes ago I tried to kill myself." Then shoe looked at me with a look of horror, fright, and anguish and asked, "Sir, . . .does your . . .God . . .love . . .me?"

I will never forget how she looked as she asked me if my God loved her. I was happy to tell her that not only did my God love her, but that I loved her too because Jesus loved her. At twenty-eight thousand feet in the air I told her the wonderful story of Christ and that God did love her. As I went to my hotel room in Atlanta, where I was to sleep for two or three hours before catching a plane to South Carolina, I knelt and prayed, "Dear God, let me love more. The only way people can see Thy love is to see it in me."

In order that our love might be more like His, let us examine a few ways to increase our love.

1. Remember it is better to love than to be loved. One can only guarantee fulfillment by loving, not by being loved. If one's happiness is built upon loving, then it can be controlled, but if his happiness is built upon being loved, it is built upon something over which he has no control. One who loves you can withdraw that love, and there is nothing that you can do about it. The happiest people and the people whose happiness is most secure are those who find their joy in loving rather than being loved.

2. Love is often unrecognized and unreturned. As one grows in love he finds himself the possessor of something that the flesh cannot recognize. The carnal mind is at enmity with God, and the flesh cannot determine spiritual traits. Hence, it is entirely possible that the people who love the least will receive credit for loving the most and that the world's greatest lovers will have their love unrecognized by the world. There are many preachers who are described as prophets of love because they never preach against sin, never rebuke their people, etc. On the other hand there are many preachers who are described as prophets of doom and hate who are really full of love for their people. Remember, love is of God, and this old carnal world knows nothing about God and His love. Because of this, the more true love that one has, the less recognition he will get for it. He may find himself being considered unloving by those who have little love but receive praise for being great lovers. Hence, when a person finds his joy and satisfaction in loving, he may have to become accustomed to having that love unrecognized by those about him.

3. Love gives the object its needs, not its wants. The love that the world knows is that which fulfills only the wants of its object. The love which God gives is that which oftentimes forfeits its own recognition in an effort to help. Many people who know true love find that oftentimes words of caution and even abruptness must be used to those you love in an effort to help them. The parent who loves his children enough to discipline them may be called an unloving parent. The pastor who loves his people enough to warn them may be called an unloving pastor. Though his love may go unrecognized on earth, it is certainly accepted and recognized as true love by Him Who is Love.

4. Love is often heartbroken. Remember that the higher one goes the lonelier he gets, and the more one loves the more he will feel unloved. He then compares his love for others with that which others have for him, finding that their love for him falls short of his love for them. The consequence is often heartbreak. The compensation for this is great, however, for the more we learn to love on earth, the higher will be our level of spiritual maturity and love in Heaven, and the more love we can offer to the Lord Jesus Christ.

5. We are not to love because of the object. "I love her because she is so sweet." "I just love him; he is so nice." These are immature statements that can lead to disappointments.

In the first place, if one's love is determined by the object, it can be also lost when the object changes. If you love her because she is sweet, you will quit loving her when she is sour. If you love him because he is nice, you will quit loving him when he is not nice. However, if you love him because God is love and has given you of His love, his changing will not change your love. Hence, our love should not be because of condition of the loved but because of the condition of the lover.

Another reason why this is important is that if we love because of the object, we will not love those who need loving the most. Jesus loved the unlovable, the unloving, and the unloved. To be like Him, we must do likewise.

6. Do not let the object stop your love. If one does not love because of the object, then also he should not stop loving if the object becomes unlovable. I have often said this to the people whom I pastor: "I cannot make you love me, but you cannot keep me from loving you." If one loves because the object is lovable, his love cannot increase unless the object becomes more lovable. In other words, he has no power to increase his love. If, however, one loves because of the love that Christ has placed in his heart, then he can increase his own love by increasing the size of his heart."

7. Keep all love within its proper bounds. If disciplined properly, every relationship can be developed to its fullest. There is love for mother, love for father, love for brother, love for sister, love for husband, love for wife, love for sweetheart, love for friend, etc. Each love should be kept within its own boundaries allowing each relationship to develop to its highest and fullest. It is wise for a person to list his relationships in life. Life is a series of human relationships, and one's happiness is largely determined by the development of each relationship. A list can be made such as the following:

I am a husband to Beverly Hyles.

I am a father to Becky Hyles, David Hyles, Linda Hyles, and Cindy Hyles.

I am a son to Mrs. C. M. Hyles.

I am a brother to Mrs. Earlyne Stephens

I am a pastor to the members of my church.

Now I must develop each of these relationships to its fullest thereby guaranteeing the happiness of each object as well as my own happiness. One does not have to choose between being a good husband and a good father, between a good father and a good friend, or a good son and a good boss. The late Dr. Bob Jones, Sr. used to say, "Duties never conflict." I can be a good whatever I am. God will give me no relationships that I cannot develop to the fullest.

8. The lover must make all reconciliations. When there is a strained relationship, it is up to the lover to lead in efforts of reconciliation. Remember the weak is usually too weak to make amends. It is up to the stronger to do so.

9. By all means, do not work on being loved. Seeking to be loved makes love impossible, for such actions are selfish, and love cannot be selfish. Selfishness cannot love. Most of the so-called love in our generation is selfish and possessive. It is nothing more than a desire to be with someone who satisfies one of the senses.

Several years ago I notices in the Fort Worth, Texas, newspaper a picture of a lady bending over the dead form of her husband whom she had just killed. As she picked his head up and put it in her lap she said, "Oh, how I loved you." (I told my wife that I didn't want her to love me that much.)

The average so-called love of today is nothing more than a desire to be around someone who is pretty or someone whose personality makes us feel good. It is basically wanting to be with someone who likes us. It is selfish and possessive if this is all that is involved. Hence, one should work on his loving and not on being loved. God will take care of giving to us those who loves us if we will take care of developing through Him and in Him the right kind of love flowing out of our own hearts.

10. Express your love. It is a wonderful thing to be able to express your love. This would simply mean being affectionate. Do you love him? Tell him. Do you love her? Tell her. Has she been a blessing to you? Let her know it. There is far too little tenderness and affection exchanged between friends in our generation. Words of love and affection are always in order if they are set within the proper bounds. Notes and letters to friends we love certainly should be written often. This is a very vital part of friendship and love.

Married people reveal their relationship by the wearing of the wedding band. Athletes wear letter sweaters. Soldiers wear uniforms. Our Lord wanted to give His people something as an insignia of their standing, something by which they could be identified. He did not choose rings for our fingers or a certain piece of clothing to cover our bodies. He simply choose love, for He said, "By this shall all men know that ye are My disciples, if ye have love one to another." (John 13:35)

Is Your Soul In Prison?

Psalm 142:5-7, “I cried unto thee, O LORD: I said, Thou art my refuge and my portion in the land of the living. Attend unto my cry; for I am brought very low: deliver me from my persecutors; for they are stronger than I. Bring my soul out of prison, that I may praise thy name: the righteous shall compass me about; for thou shalt deal bountifully with me.”

Psalm 142 was written while David was in a cave hiding. We do not know exactly which cave, but probably either Engedi (1st Samuel 24:1-3) or Adullam (1st Samuel 22:2). Regardless, king David was having a rough time. This chapter of the Bible jumped out at me and encouraged my heart. It was like reading my biography.

Psalms 142:1-2, “I cried unto the LORD with my voice; with my voice unto the LORD did I make my supplication. I poured out my complaint before him; I shewed before him my trouble.”

This is what we should all do when troubles come, pour out our complaint to God. The Hebrew word for "complaint" simply means, "to pray or communicate with God." David was making a request to God. Back in Moses' day, God was upset with the Israelites for complaining about the quality of the food they were given. As a matter of fact they complained about nearly everything. This was sinful and God punished them for it (tragically thousands died).

King David however was complaining to God for a very different reason, because someone was trying to kill him. David wouldn't fight back against God's anointed leader, king Saul. It's not wrong to complain to God about legitimate problems in our life, but God does not like when we don't appreciate His blessings in our life. David was not complaining in the sense of being unappreciative; but rather, David was asking God to deliver him from his "persecutors" (verse 6). There is a big difference! What type of complainer are you friend?

I complain to God all the time, but not in a selfish way. I complain about the iniquity in America, the injustice of the Enron corporation (who swindled millions of dollars from its own employee's retirement fund), the apostate ecumenical movement, abortion industry, gambling casinos, beer factories, spiritual wickedness in high places, and just about everything else that is wicked. I often find myself (like David - Psalms 58:6) praying imprecatory prayers, asking God like the prophet Jonah to bring swift justice and fiery judgment upon our wicked land!

There's is much we can all do to influence America for God. I worry about people (especially Christians believers) who have no passion for truth and justice. I don't know about you friend, but I want to make a difference for God. We need to get MAD (Make A Difference)! I'm really upset that so much corruption exists and nothing is being done about it (like $59 billion disappearing from HUD and then Bill Clinton pardons the man who was convicted for the crime). That's tax-payer dollars being stolen! The money was never recovered!

I also sometimes complain to the Lord that heathens like rock star Ozzy Osborne are paid $20,000,000 contracts for being wicked, while God's righteous children struggle in factories to make ends meet. The Holy Spirit always reminds me that everything which Jesus owns is mine also, and that I have eternal life—which is worth more than all the riches in the universe. Heaven belongs to those who die in the Lord (Revelation 14:13), having their sins washed away by the precious blood of Jesus.

Ozzy Osbourne has nothing because he doesn't have Jesus Christ, sad but true. And now Ozzy is nearing the end of his life in 2024, suffering from Parkinson's disease. I am sad for Ozzy and his family. They need the Lord. By God's grace, I am very rich indeed, for I have Jesus as my personal Savior! We have so many blessings from God to be thankful for, even the air that we all breathe and take for granted. God is pleased when sin makes His children upset and when we stand up to speak the truth against the evildoers (Psalm 94:16). The old adage is true: Evil triumphs when good men do nothing.

Psalm 142 is special to me because I have been there in my troubled life...

Psalms 142:3, “When my spirit was overwhelmed within me, then thou knewest my path. In the way wherein I walked have they privily laid a snare for me.”

David said his enemies had privily (secretly) laid a trap for him. I've had people do this to me before. It's a very panful experience when someone cheats and hurts you, and when somebody spreads lies about you (or even worse, the truth). People just love to gossip and tear down other people. It's in our sinful nature as humans to hurt one another (Romans 3:10-23). Because I am a Christian I've learned that some people will just sit in wait (as a predator), waiting for us to stumble. Pastor Texe Marrs (1944-2019) was right, who said: When you're a Christian the whole world is waiting for you to fall.

Notice that David said he was "overwhelmed" inside. Have you ever felt overwhelmed by emotions? I sure have. David says in Psalm 142:7 that his "soul was in prison." Ever felt like your soul was in prison? Have you ever felt like you'd never get out of debt? Have you ever felt like life would never get any better? Have you ever felt like people were a lost cause? I have felt all of these things at times in my life. People can really get you down sometimes (John 16:22).

The Lord Is Our Refuge In Time Of Trouble

There were times in my life when I felt like all the walls were closing-in around me, like everything in the world was wrong. I know what it's like to want to die, but you know you have to keep on living because that is God's plan. And let me say, I was right with God during those overwhelming times. I was drawn by my afflictions more into the precious truths of God's Word. I know that God has a divine purpose for my sufferings, to prepare me for the burdens ahead (Deuteronomy 8:3). You really don't understand the truth until you live the truth, when you're at the bottom of life looking up. The Bible comes alive when you feel like your dead. 

Read how David felt...

Psalms 55:6, “And I said, Oh that I had wings like a dove! for then would I fly away, and be at rest.”

David wished he could have grown wings and just flown away. Have you ever been there? There have been umpteen times in my life when I have felt that way. Sometimes I just wanted to quit my job and go anywhere but there! I'm sure that you've also felt that way, especially if you live and work in a big concrete jungle city like Chicago, Los Angeles or New York.

If you've ever received bad news at your front door, you know the fear that lingers every time you hear a knock at your door from that day hence. The same is true with the phone and the mailbox. I dread checking my mail, answering the door, or the phone. I've received enough bad news to last a lifetime. What can we do? I now check my mail only once every couple weeks. I forget about the mail. I don't let my mailbox of phone control me, I check it when I feel like it.

I have an answering machine, I keep my ringer down. My time is MY TIME. I have learned little ways to control the life which God has given me. If you don't take control you will have no life. I worked midnights years ago and slept afternoons. I turned the phone off every afternoon. It worked great. Sometimes you have to take drastic measures because people (especially your own family) will abuse you (even though they likely don't intend to). I've learned to say "no" to people from church as well. Just say "no."

You likely can't work in a church ministry all day on Saturday, you've got things that need to be done at the house. You need to spend time with your wife and kids. A real man spends time with his family. The Godfather (played by actor Marlon Brando) said that and he was right! People won't take no for an answer sometimes. If you have small children, you owe it to your wife to watch the kids so she can get a much-needed break on Saturdays. Family must come before ministry. If you can make time to serve in a church ministry, that's great, but not at the expense of your family.

Seek God's Mercy To Find Grace To Help In Time Of Need

I could see why many people would like to grow wings and fly away as David wanted to. Years ago, I was a bit discouraged and someone bought me an encouraging card. The card said:

"Any idiot can handle a crisis, it's this day-to-day living that wears me down."

I never forgot that card, and the above statement is a classic. It's not the big things in life that wear us down, it's the mundane and routine things that wear us down. David was tired from always looking over his shoulder for enemies. David wanted to fly away from his problems but he knew it was impossible. David was discouraged because he felt like no one was his friend. He was convinced that no one cared about his soul. David couldn't find someone to give him refuge so he ended up in a cave. Everyone was afraid to help David (just as most people today are afraid to help those in trouble). No one wanted David around anymore because they knew Saul was after him. People had also heard about his adultery with Bathsheba and how he murdered her husband Uriah. David was a marked man! The stigma sticks!

Psalms 142:4, “I looked on my right hand, and beheld, but there was no man that would know me: refuge failed me; no man cared for my soul.”

David turned to the Lord God, which is always the best thing to do when we are in trouble...

Psalms 142:5, “I cried unto thee, O LORD: I said, Thou art my refuge and my portion in the land of the living.”

David had many enemies, especially Saul. What was David to do? He had a problem that wasn't going to go away anytime soon. Do you have any problems like that dear reader? I can only do so much as one human being. We are living in a wicked world. I know how David felt...

David was in an overwhelming situation. He felt very low, betrayed, humiliated and broken. David, who had killed a fierce lion with his bare hands! David, who had slain the Philistine giant Goliath with a mere sling shot! David, who had slain his ten thousands! Now David finds himself hiding in a cave with nowhere to turn, but to the Lord for help. Sometimes, we will have nowhere to turn, but to the Lord Jesus Christ for help. David's soul was in a prison. He wanted out, but saw no way of escape. There was no light in sight at the end of the tunnel.

Psalms 142:7, “Bring my soul out of prison, that I may praise thy name: the righteous shall compass me about; for thou shalt deal bountifully with me.”

Is your soul in a prison? Is your heart living in a dark cave of life? Do you have burdens that your family and friends just can't help you with? Have you come to the end of yourself? I have been there too my friend, so be of good cheer. 1st Peter 5:9, “Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world.” As David experienced, I can only turn to my God in desperation and plead for deliverance from mine enemies and miseries. David said in Psalm 142:6 that he had been "brought very low." David cried unto the Lord...

Hebrews 4:15-16, “For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.”

We have a wonderful promise from God in Hebrews 4:14-15. Because we are cleansed by the blood of Jesus, we have a God-purchased RIGHT to the throne of grace. Jesus paid for this right. We surely don't deserve it, but God loves us and has made this provision for us with His own blood which He shed for our sins (1st Peter 1:18-19). Jesus is our High Priest who intercedes for us in Heaven (Hebrews 4:14; Romans 8:34). God wants us to BOLDLY approach His throne of grace to obtain mercy, to HELP in time of NEED. God has promised to help us, but we must plead for His mercy. God owes us nothing, we must petition God (make supplication) concerning our burdens. If we are not arrogant and self-willed, He will help us. God is real my friend, He sits upon His throne in heaven. Through our spirit, we can stand before that throne if we will only pray.

Prayer is a serious matter, be careful what you ask God. If your soul is in prison, take your burdens to the Lord and leave them there. Cast your cares upon God (1st Peter 5:7-8). If the burdens don't go away, hang in there because unshakable faith comes from having your faith shaken! And what pleases God? FAITH! (Hebrews 11:6). So it is very true then, that more problems in one's life is better for us, because more affliction will cause us to have a stronger faith. We cannot grow in grace without suffering and pain.

Unshakable Faith Comes From Having Your Faith Shaken

God is not pleased to watch us suffer, but He is pleased if we don't quit. If you ask God for more faith, then you WILL be sent a multitude of problems to build your faith. This is why I say be careful what you pray. I love this next verse. Listen to what Job said:

Job 13:15, “Though he slay me, yet will I trust in him: but I will maintain mine own ways before him.”

Do you have Job's kind of blind faith? Job said, "I don't care if God kills me, I'm not going to give up!" Job had a great faith! So there is a silver lining to every burden, though it may not seem joyous at the moment. Perhaps you ask, "Do you really believe all that?" Yes I do, but I don't like it one bit. I'd rather not have the burdens, but they're here. So I might as well do what James said and count it all joy (a silver lining). I hate problems! Unfortunately, they keep coming one after the other. Unshakable faith comes from having your faith shaken!

I'll say this though, if I hadn't carried the burdens which afflicted me years ago, I wouldn't have had the strength to bare the burdens I have now. That makes me worry what burdens may come in the future, but I have to leave that in God's hands and trust Him. God has promised to encamp round about me to watch over me (Psalms 34:7). By God's grace, I wouldn't have learned all the Bible truths I have learned, if I hadn't had all those past burdens. I am grateful to God for my life, good and bad alike. It is my life. What saith the Scripture? ...

James 1:2-4, “My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience. But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.”

Has James lost his mind? No, not at all. The trials in our life will make us stronger if we hang in there for God. Have you ever heard the old adage: That which does not kill you only makes you stronger? This is true. Many people turn to drugs, alcohol and immorality when the rough times come. What we need to do is seek closeness with the Lord. We need to live in the inspired Word of God. The Bible truly does have all the answers if you look for them (John 5:39). We need to pray about everything (Philippines 4:6). Do you know what encourages me more than anything else when I'm discouraged? It is preaching the Gospel. There is no joy as sweet as leading a lost sinner to Jesus Christ.

The MOST Accurate Bible Translation Was Just Released

In the comments for the preceding video, Ken Ham states: “The most accurate Bible translation was just released. In this video, Ken Ham interviews Dr. Abner Chou (president of The Masters University) on the brand-new LSB Bible translation, which John MacArthur called 'the best English translation [he has] ever read.'” That's like the hungry wolf saying that he thinks the new doorless henhouse is the best design he's ever seen!!!

Here are just a small handful of corruptions in the so-called “new” Legacy Standard Bible (LSB). Please note that these are the SAME exact corruptions in all of the modern Brooke Westcott and Fenton Hort corrupt revisions. Pastor Jack Hyles was so right, who said: “If you've seen one Westcott and Hort Bible you've seen 'em all.”

They removed the word “hell” and replaced it with Sheol. Everybody knows the meaning of Hell, but less than 1% of readers will know what “Sheol” means...

Psalms 9:17, “The wicked will return to Sheol, Even all the nations who forget God.”

They changed God's promise to “preserve” His very pure Words to “guard.” The replaced them (God's Word) with “him,” a person. They have removed God's promise to preserve His pure Words...

Psalms 12:6-7, “The words of Yahweh are pure words; As silver tried in a furnace on the ground, refined seven times. You, O Yahweh, will keep them; You will guard him from this generation forever.”

“Sodomite” is completely removed from the LSB.

“Lucifer” is completely removed from Isaiah 14:12, the only mention in the King James Bible.

“Fornication” is removed from LSB.

They removed, “but by every word of God” in the next verse...

Luke 4:4, “And Jesus answered him, “It is written, ‘Man shall not live on bread alone.’””

They change “by” to “through,” which attacks Jesus' deity as Creator...

John 1:3, “All things came into being through Him, and apart from Him nothing came into being that has come into being.”

The King James Bible says Jesus told Mary Magdalene “Touch me not.” They changed it to, “Stop clinging to me.” Jesus hadn't ascended with His blood to the Father yet. She would have corrupted Him had she touched Him. This is a horrible corruption of God's Word...

John 20:17, “Jesus said to her, “Stop clinging to Me, for I have not yet ascended to the Father; but go to My brothers and say to them, ‘I ascend to My Father and your Father, and My God and your God.’””

They removed the “godhead” and replaced it with “divine nature,” which is another attack of the Godhead (Trinity)...

Romans 1:20, “For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes, both His eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly seen, being understood through what has been made, so that they are without excuse.”

They removed “are saved” and changed it to “being saved”... 

1st Corinthians 1:18, “For the word of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved, it is the power of God.”

One's degree of character may be determined by what he would do wrong, for so many are so prone to "sell out" so soon. Politicians, preachers, and others find the temptation to sell out to be a great one. Some sell for much and some sell for little.

The tendency to be for sale starts in childhood. If the child is not taught that wrong is punished, and if he gets no spankings, wrong is not made distasteful to him. He oftentimes gets his desires by doing wrong. If he cries long enough, he gets the candy, and oftentimes he is even rewarded when throwing a tantrum. He does not have to mind his parents. To say "no" to Mama is considered cute. Then he will say "no" to the teacher, "no" to the Sunday School worker, "no" to the law, and "no" to God. He then dies and goes to Hell because the parents thought it was cute for him to say "no."

This tendency to sell out continues in youth. It is found in the youth who does right only if it turns out right. Right needs to be vindicated in such a life. Every action is determined by its reward or results. According to this opinion, nothing is right or wrong in itself, only in how it turns out. Hence, anything can become right if it turns out right. Popularity, gaining a new boy friend, good grades, etc. become the main end rather than principles and character. How sad! Such people stand only until the price is big enough. They are not taught to live by principles. Their convictions last only until the selling price reaches their desires.

This tendency increases in adulthood. From such young people we have our police scandals, our crooked politicians, our compromising preachers, our loafers, lawbreakers, and homebreakers.

Early in childhood our youth should be taught the need for conviction and that right is its own reward and needs no vindication. They should be taught never to sell out for convenience or fair price, but rather to place a sign over their souls, "Not for Sale."

The Grass Is Always Greener Over The Septic Tank

Romans 16:17-18, “Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them. For they that are such serve not our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly; and by good words and fair speeches deceive the hearts of the simple.”

I cannot warn everyone enough to flee from Pensacola Christian College (PCC) located in Pensacola, Florida. PCC is a spiritual septic tank, overgrown with green grass to deceive naïve newcomers. In December of 2023, PCC alumni Jon Ehnis posted this truthful negative review of PCC on Google (with which I wholeheartedly concur)...

I know posting a Google review is a long shot to reach someone but in the interest of helping someone avoid the great mistake I made, please consider all other options before considering this one. It truly makes me sad that this place has the word "Christian" in it's name, as most (I will admit I can think of two people that teach there I truly admire) of the staff and faculty are the furthest thing from Christ as you can get. Having now attended two other universities for graduate studies and a state university for specialized training, I can say from experience that the education does very little to prepare you for your life. Leadership is not concerned for your spiritual growth but rather they are focused on control both sociologically and emotionally. I truly do want to help someone avoid making a great mistake but I know many will not consider the negative words in the comments here both from me and others. But please consider this if you do attend, for the majority of the chapels/church services etc. when you walk away can you honestly say that you have learned something about God and can now explain something from his word or did you hear an emotionally charged speech geared to causing people to "feel" the need to do something regardless of what a full passage of Scripture teaches?

Wow! Jon Ehnis took the words right out of my mouth: “It truly makes me sad that this place has the word 'Christian' in it's name, as most of the staff and faculty are the furthest thing from Christ as you can get.” People just want to be loved, but you won't find compassion at PCC or Campus Church. What you will find are tons of strict rules without love! Tyranny is rarely seen except by those who are oppressed by it. The grass is always greener over the septic tank!

Amen and amen! Dr. Hyles practically gives the address of Pensacola Christian College at 250 Brent Lane in Pensacola, Florida. PCC are so ruthless that they even sued their own graduate, Peter Cage (which you can read online). 1st Corinthians 6:7 forbids a Christian from suing another Christian in court. But as is typical of PCC's ungodly owners and leaders, they couldn't care less about obeying the Bible.

Preachers often receive dirty looks from the audience because of telling the truth. But God told the prophet in Ezekiel 2:6, “And thou, son of man, be not afraid of them, neither be afraid of their words, though briers and thorns be with thee, and thou dost dwell among scorpions: be not afraid of their words, nor be dismayed at their looks, though they be a rebellious house.” I won't stop preaching the truth about PCC! I love everybody and am going to be nice toward everyone, regardless of how they mistreat me. PCC is the problem, and their brainwashed followers. The grass is always greener over the septic tank.

In case anyone thinks I am barking up an empty tree, or that I merely have a personal grudge against Jeff Redlin at Campus Church, may I again remind you of what PCC alumni Jon Ehnis posted on Google, who took the words right out of my mouth:

Never more truer words were spoken! At PCC they have erected a superficial shell masquerading as Bible Christianity, but it's all phony and corrupt. For starters, they preach a counterfeit plan of salvation at PCC and their pathetic Campus Church. The Lordship Salvation Cult At Pensacola Christian College. They preach damnable heresy at PCC! It saddens me how shallow professed Christians are today. When you add religion to a person who is a narcissistic jerk, and then give them a ridiculously large salary and power of influence, you have now created a religious monster (aka, Pastor Jeff Redlin). The grass is always greener over the septic tank.

When I attended Campus Church at PCC in 2021, I was horribly insulted and mistreated by their incompetent senior pastor, Jeff Redlin, who gets paid a sickening 6-digit salary (more than five times what the average American working man earns in a year). The days of sincere servants of God are long gone; now all we have are a bunch of money grubbing religious pimps who masquerade as church pastors. Truly the love of money is the root of all evil (1st Timothy 6:10-11). The grass is always greener over the septic tank. That is, the grass always grows greener over the manure reservoir!

Malachi 2:3, “And now, O ye priests, this commandment is for you. If ye will not hear, and if ye will not lay it to heart, to give glory unto my name, saith the LORD of hosts, I will even send a curse upon you, and I will curse your blessings: yea, I have cursed them already, because ye do not lay it to heart. Behold, I will corrupt your seed, and spread dung upon your faces, even the dung of your solemn feasts; and one shall take you away with it.”

Shamefully, PCC's pastors are not listening to God in His inspired Word. Instead, they are doing their own thing, preaching another gospel that requires you to turn from your sinful bad habits to get to Heaven, instead of by faith alone as the Holy Bible teaches (Acts 16:30-31). As you just read, the Bible says God smears dung on their face. The grass is always greener over the septic tank.

Whether you care or not, it shows PCC doesn't care. When I sincerely apologized twice for offending PCC and their pastors, and I humbly begged to come back to Campus Church in 2022, their God damned hateful pastor Jeff Redlin said that my “remarks were consequential” and I was banned from attending Campus Church. We've been sworn enemies ever since. PCC did that! SHAME! SHAME on the cult at PCC!!! PCC takes in tens of millions of dollars, which has hardened their hearts toward God, truth and people. PCC has deteriorated into a cold-hearted religious cult, where you must dot your i's and cross your t's militantly, or else face the wrath of the gods who run the cult.

It is tragic that PCC has a massive influence on churches all across America, and they know it, which power has gone to their heads. Thankfully there is a God in Heaven, who men do not control. God is not a respecter of persons. God hears the cry of PCC's many victims, including myself. When I begged for their forgiveness and compassion, they threw me under the bus and put the transmission into gear and drove over me while laughing. That is PCC! The grass is always greener over the septic tank.

God heard the cry of Abel's blood from the ground (Genesis 4:10). God heard the cry coming from the city of Sodom (Genesis 18:21; 19:13). God cares about hurting people. God knows the truth that I came to Campus Church with the sincerest of intentions, but was abused by their wicked pastor. When I hand wrote a letter and mailed it PCC to let them know how shameful their pastor was behaving, they couldn't have cared less, which showed me that PCC is very sick spiritually. God already knows how corrupt PCC is. They don't even have the Gospel right, which means they are not saved. PCC's pastors are hellbound infidels.

Shame on the Sword of the Lord for selling PCC's advertisements for money. The Sword has gone down the toilet since Dr. Curtis Hutson graduated to Heaven in 1995. Dr. Shelton Smith (Sword editor since 1995) ought to be ashamed of himself for supporting PCC's apostasy! I sent a message to the Sword of the Lord to warn them about PCC, but as I expected the Sword failed to reply to me. They love money more than truth at the Sword.

What has happened is that well-meaning but ignorant wicked men have corrupted the Gospel to fit their flawed thinking. Since they know that requiring someone to stop living in sin would be WORKS, they subtly changed it instead to “be willing” to turn from your sins to get to Heaven. In their feeble minds, they cannot understand how a man can come to Christ and continue committing murder, stealing, adultery and other horrible sins. But dear friend, that is exactly what we all do! King David was a murderer and adulterer in the Old Testament. Ananias and Sapphira were dirty thieves, whom God killed for their crimes.

We're all guilty sinners. No one has ever turned from their sins. NO ONE! You may clean up your life, like prettying up a pig, but a pig is still a pig. You may become a born-again child of God, but you are still a dirty sinner, and so am I. Getting saved does NOT eliminate the old nature (the sinful flesh). Getting saved adds the new nature (the blessed Holy Spirit). If we desire to live righteously, then we can only Walk in the Spirit (Galatians 5:22-25), allowing Jesus to live the Christian life through us (Galatians 2:20). But do you see dear friend that it is God's righteousness and power that lives through you, and not YOU yourself turning from your sinful behavior to be saved?

These ungodly Bible corrupting pastors (like the PCC cult) who pervert God's simple plan of salvation, demanding that you be willing to turn from your sinful bad habits to be saved, are trying to force YOU to reform as a prerequisite to saving faith, which cannot produce the new birth. Only resting completely in what Christ has done for you through Calvary's cross, can produce the new birth by the Holy Spirit of God. I am not going to do like PCC and pervert God's simple plan of salvation in an attempt to force you to forsake your sinful ways.

You can trust Christ with all of your might and do your best to turn from you sins and still end up in the lake of fire. That is shocking! You can do your best to trust that Jesus died for you, that He rose from the dead, and try your best to live a good, holy life and “still” end up dying in your sins because you have not placed your trust “alone” (apart from turning from your sins) in what He did for you. The sad thing about adding “self efforts” such as turning from your sins to Christ’s plan of “trust only” is that, while it sounds right, it sounds good, and it feels right, it is not the gospel message that Christ has so plainly given to us in His bible. Jesus said in John 3:16 that “whosoever believeth in Him” would be saved. He did not say “whosoever believeth” and turn from your sins. He did not say believe and be willing to turn from your sins. He did not say believe and follow Him in obedience “in order to” have everlasting life, nor did He ever imply such things when He spoke of salvation.” —Michael P. If your church supports PCC, shame on you! Today's Baptist churches are infested with carnal believers, and worse, unsaved infidels. Sadly, 99% of people just don't care about right doctrine. They care about being happy. They care about money. They care about having fun at church activities. Tragically, the accuracy of the Gospel isn't important to them, so they go along with anything that their pastor tells them, unquestioningly. No wonder Jesus said in Luke 13:24b, “many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able.”
