WHAT EXACTLY DID WESTCOTT AND HORT BELIEVE???
Westcott and Hort DENIED:
- the doctrine of the inspiration of Scripture
- the Genesis record of the Creation and the Fall of man
- the Deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, His eternal pre-existence and Godhead, His Messiahship, and His sinlessness
- the substitutionary atonement of Christ and redemption by His blood
- the bodily resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ
- the Second Coming of Christ
- the doctrine of Eternal Life
- the reality of Heaven and Hell
- the personality of the Devil
Westcott and Hort BELIEVED IN:
- the inherent goodness and perfectibility of man
- the Darwinian theory of Evolution
- the Universal Fatherhood of God
- the ultimate salvation of all men
- the efficacy of water baptism for Regeneration
Westcott and Hort were false prophets, ravening wolves in sheep’s clothing (Matthew 7:15) “deceitful workers, transforming themselves into … ministers of righteousness” (2nd Corinthians 11:13-15). Their theories of Textual Criticism are false and must be utterly rejected.
Pastor Max D. Younce (1935-2023) exposes Westcott and Hort for the infidels they were.
