When A Christian Woman Wears Pants, She Embarrassingly Shames Herself

1st Timothy 2:9-12, “In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with broided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array; But (which becometh women professing godliness) with good works. Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection. But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence.”

I had reluctantly attended the Neo-Evangelical Family Baptist Church in Pensacola for 45 months between 2021 to 2025. I really don't like Neo-Evangelical churches, because they pale in comparison to a decent Independent Fundamental Baptist Church.

Albeit, the pastor announced a church Memorial Day picnic in Alabama, about a 45 minute drive from Pensacola. So, me and my wife Alice went to their church picnic. Alice wore a full-length dress, as she always does in public. When we arrived at the picnic, we couldn't help but notice that the pastor's wife wearing pants. You should have seen the look on her face when we arrived. They didn't think we'd come. Some sinners get caught with their pants down, but we caught the pastor's wife with her pants on!

We are just two sinners like everybody else. We don't condemn other sinners, lest we condemn ourselves (Matthew 7:1-5). Unfortunately, the pastor's wife felt so convicted about her pants that she felt compelled to come over to our picnic table where we were eating, to compliment a young girl sitting next to us, saying: I like your shorts!” The pastor's wife then walked away. She walked all the way over from 50 feet away to tell one girl sitting right next to us that she liked her shorts? Right.

What really happened is that the worldly pastor's wife felt irked when we caught her wearing tight pants in public, because she fully knows that we are fundamentalist Christians from Hyles-Anderson College, and she felt embarrassed (which she should over her sin of immodesty). She felt like a whore when she saw my wife's modest full-length dress, and it upset her emotionally that she was clothed immodestly. It just proves that the pastor wife DOES KNOW that it is a sin for women to wear pants in public! Her conscience and the Holy Spirit convicted her.

It doesn't bother me near as much that a pastor's wife wears pants, as it does that she and her henpecked pastor for a husband arrogantly defend the wicked sin of immodesty. There would have been no debate over women wearing pants in public 100 years ago in the United States; only whores wore pants in public. God and His standards of morality have not changed.

For some stupid neo-evangelical knucklehead for a pastor to challenge me to give him a Bible verse shewing that his wife shouldn't be wearing pants in public is the epitome of carnality and gross theological incompetence. 1st Timothy 2:9 doesn't have to come with an instruction booklet to know that Christian women ought not wear pants in society.
1st Timothy 2:9-10, “In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with broided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array; But (which becometh women professing godliness) with good works.”
Those same idiots for pastors today cannot even get repentance correct, falsely teaching that you must “repent of your sins” to get to Heaven. You simply need to repent (change your mind) about unbelief to be saved, which is the only sin that can keep you out of Heaven someday. If you admit that you're a hell-deserving guilty sinner, and your trust is only in the Good News of Jesus Christ crucified, buried and risen, then you're eternally saved friend.
1st Peter 2:11-12, “Dearly beloved, I beseech you as strangers and pilgrims, abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul; Having your conversation honest among the Gentiles: that, whereas they speak against you as evildoers, they may by your good works, which they shall behold, glorify God in the day of visitation.”
Modestly matters ladies! You are an ambassador for the King of kings and Lord of lords. How you dress reflects your attitude toward the problem of sexual sins in our society. By wearing pants you are shewing everyone that you couldn't care less. You are part of the problem.
