Adultery Is A Heinous Crime Punishable By God's Law

Job 31:9-11, “If mine heart have been deceived by a woman, or if I have laid wait at my neighbour's door; Then let my wife grind unto another, and let others bow down upon her. For this is an heinous crime; yea, it is an iniquity to be punished by the judges.”

I learned something new from Pastor Steven Anderson today, which I hadn't seen before in the Scripture. We all know that adultery is a horrible sin, but the inspired Holy Bible actually calls adultery a "HEINOUS CRIME" and says it should be a punishable crime in a court of law by the judges. Job 31:9-11, “If mine heart have been deceived by a woman, or if I have laid wait at my neighbour's door; Then let my wife grind unto another, and let others bow down upon her. For this is an heinous crime; yea, it is an iniquity to be punished by the judges.”

Tragically, adultery is widely practiced in our wicked American cuoture today. Adulterous Hollywood actors and producers make adulterous movies to inspire adulterous people. Never before In America's history have we seen such a flagrant disregard for biblical morality and standards. I love God and am thankful that He is a holy, good and faithful Creator! I am trusting in His only begotten (biological) Son, Jesus, who is the promised Christ in whom we have eternal life through faith in His shed blood (1st Peter 1:18-19; Romans 5:9; Revelation 1:5). God is so good!!!

The old adage is very true: An ounce of prevention is worth one pound of cure. Filthy communication leads to filthy living! Dirty talk leads to dity behavior. As God's redeemed children we should all carefully guard against listening to or repeating dirty jokes, looking at ir sharing indecent images, and giving credence to anything that is immoral and wrong. I cringe when I hear men telling dirty innappropriate jokes. I hate filthy talk!

It can be extremely difficult in a group of men to take a stand and tell them kindly that you don't want to hear their filth. But if we start taking a stand, in time we will gain boldness to walk away. We don't want to make enemies, especially at work, so we sometimes find our selves in difficult situations. Another helpful old adage comes to mind: Perfect practice makes perfect. We should at a minimum make some type of effort to avoid hearing and repeating gossip, dirty jokes and slander. It's not always easy or even possible to avoid hearing siuch horrible things, but not repeating them is much easier if we love the Lord.

I am of the firm belief that no married person ought ever be alone with someone of the oppossite sex to whom they are not legally married. Nor should two unmarried people ever casually talk about sexual matters, including engaged couples. Filthy communication opens the door to sin. 1st Corinthians 15:33, “Be not deceived: evil communications corrupt good manners.” By taking simple precautionary steps, adultery can be avoided. I heard court testimony from a man who brutally murdered his best friend, to steal his wife. He testified to the court (as part of a plea agreement), that it all began when he and his best friend's wife were alone in a car, talking about sex. He admitted to the court that they were talking about sexual matters that no two unmarried people should ever be talking about, and he is absolutely correct!

A few years ago I watched a couple hundred of the 400 episodes of the popular Tv series Forensic Files. You can watch them for free on Roku, Live Tv, YouTube and other venues. I closely paid attention to the small details that led to major crimes being committed, mainly murder. In nearly every case someone began their downward spiral by drinking booze, going to a Strip Club, a married person flirting with someone to whom they were not married, stealing, dressing immodestly, et cetera. Small sins often lead to bigger sins!

No one merely wakes up one day and decides to go murder someone! Behind every tragdedy in human character is a slow process of wicked thinking. Many sexual predators testify in court that they were sexual abused as children. Abuse often begets further abuse! The human condition is toxic. Jesus taught in Matthew 24:12 that when evil goes unpunished (iniquity) in a society, many people become hardened to the needs of others, and their love is quenched. Matthew 24:12, “And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.” Although Jesus is specifically speaking about conditions during the coming Tribulation period, this truth applies universally to humanity in every generation. Whenever sin is allowed to flourish and crime goes unpunished, things only get much worse (Ecclesiastes 8:11; Jeremiah 7:10-11).

Thousands of online dating websites and services openly allow, promote and support committing adultery, sanctioned by both federal and state governments. Why hasn't our lawmakers and leaders gone after these wicked sinners to shut them down? Why does YouTube openly allow and promote lewdness, indecent images and pornography? Why does our government look the other way, while social media companies censore God-fearing Christians and conservatives, while empowering liberals, kooks and criminals? Truly, Satan is the god of this world (2nd Corinthians 4:4).

The Devil wants everybody committing woeful sins. Jesus warned that the Devil only comes to kill, steal and destroy (John 10:10). Satan knows if he can get young people to start committing sexual sins, he has taken control over their life and has ruined them! If you doubt that there is a Satanic plot to recruit your child, you NEED TO SEE THIS ABOUT TAYLOR SWIFT!!! Miss Swift belongs in prison for corrupting children! If a pastor and church did this, making sexually immoral videos targeted at children like Taylor Swift does, the media would go ballistic! What evil hypocrities!!! Thankfully, no one can escape God's judgment (Hebrews 4:13). The hypocrities will give account to God (Job 20:5; Ecclesiastes 12:14; Matthew 7:1-5).
