Once Saved Always Saved Is Biblical

Ephesians 1:12-14, “That we should be to the praise of his glory, who first trusted in Christ. In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise, Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory.”

Dear reader, the day you were saved God “SEALED” you with His divine Holy Spirit, as a downpayment and proof that you belong to Him. 1st John 3:24, “And he that keepeth his commandments dwelleth in him, and he in him. And hereby we know that he abideth in us, by the Spirit which he hath given us.I was surfing the internet today and found a new website that greatly impressed me, by Todd Tomasella. Todd is a brilliant young man who has the gift of writing. His website is excellent, first class all the way. I found Todd's website while searching for information on corrupt Bible versions. I give Todd two thumbs up for his work exposing the modern revisions. But then I was saddened to learn that Todd denies the great Bible doctrine of Eternal Security. Todd states:
All who teach OSAS/eternal security are false teachers who are bearing false witness against the LORD and will have “damnation” if they don’t repent (2 Peter 2:1-3).
Are there Sins that will Damn the Soul? Soul damning sins are limited to what GOD specifically cites as such and not to what ridiculous religious devils manufacture ….. such as the length of a woman’s hair, speeding in your vehicle, etc. The LORD gives us 17 soul damning sins in Galatians 5:19-21, revealing that the person living in those sins is doing so due to not being in an abiding relationship with Christ, which means they are separated from God who is Holy – even though they may have been saved in the past (Luke 8:13; 2 Peter 2:20-21; Hebrews 10:26-39, etc.).

As I quote to you earlier from 1st John 3:24, the way we know we're saved is by the indwelling Holy Spirit whom God has sealed every believer with. The evidence of our salvation is NOT how well we manage to avoid committing sins in our life, as Todd teaches. We are taught in Romans 5:20 that for the believer who wilfully sins, “GRACE DID MUCH MORE ABOUND.” Romans 5:20, “Moreover the law entered, that the offence might abound. But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound:That is God's way of saying—ONCE SAVED, ALWAYS SAVED!!!

I was so impressed with Todd's website and work (and I still am), but it grieves my heart that he is wrong on the Gospel, which means that he needs to get saved. Todd denies a pretribulation Rapture, but that doesn't affect one's salvation. Unfortunately, denying eternal security is a big problem, which is to deny eternal life itself. There is an entirely different mindset which goes along with denying eternal security—a theologically perverse mindset that conditions salvation upon the sinner's behavior instead of solely upon the Savior's blood. Repeatedly we are told in the Scriptures that salvation is to him that “WORKETH NOT” (Romans 4:5-6), and “NOT BY WORKS OF RIGHTEOUSNESS (Titus 3:5), and NOT OF YOURSELVES (Ephesians 2:8-9). Kindly said, Todd Tomasella is a false prophet!

Todd believes that some people were saved in the past, but due to committing one or more of the “17 soul damning sins” (as he calls them) in Galatians 5:19-21, they are no longer saved. Friend, that is the Devil talking! If you didn't get saved by doing good works, then how can you be unsaved by doing bad works? That's right, you can't! Let's say for the sake of argument that you could lose God's salvation by sinning—how could you ever really know if and when you are saved? Since everyone sins, you would be in a constant state of fear, uncertainty and worry, never fully knowing if you are saved or going to Hell. Friend, that is not how God wants you to live day by day. Instead, we have GOD'S PROMISE of eternal life through faith in His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ (Titus 1:2; Hebrews 4:1-2).

I feel sorry for Todd, that he thinks salvation can be gained and then lost, gained and then lost, gained and then lost. That is the ungodly Pentecostal mindset. Ironically, Todd has authored a book called: “The Psychology Of Eternal Security,” in which he attempts to discredit and dismantle THE TRUTH that every believer is safe and eternally secure in the Father's hands. There is in fact a “psychology, that is, a mindset, that goes along with whatever you choose to believe concerning the great Bible doctrine of Eternal Security.

For the person who doesn't believe in eternal security, this person is careful to maintain an upright life apart from sin, thinking that their salvation depends on it. That is not the Gospel dear friend. God's plan of salvation is not partial faith in Christ plus human effort. God's plan of salvation is that we are all guilty dirty sinners, in need of the blessed Savior! Salvation is promised to whomsoever places their trust in Christ's death, burial and bodily resurrection (1st Corinthians 15:1-6).

For the person who does believe in eternal security, we know that God doesn't want us to continue living in sin (Romans 3:31). As Christians we SHOULD serve Christ; not MUST (that is works); not WILL (that is Calvinism). God is not an absent Father—He will discipline His children (Hebrews 12:6-8). But for someone to corrupt the Gospel of free grace, in a foolish attempt to compel sinners to depart from sin, is of the Devil. Todd is pulling on the same rope as the Devil. What saith the Scripture? ...
2nd Peter 3:16-17, “As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destructionYe therefore, beloved, seeing ye know these things before, beware lest ye also, being led away with the error of the wicked, fall from your own stedfastness.”
Kindly, Todd Tomasella is ignorant of the Holy Scriptures, wrestling the Word of God to his own destruction (and those that follow his damnable false teachings). Once a person receives Jesus Christ as their personal Savior and is born anew by the Holy Spirit of God, it would be necessary for God to become a liar for that believer to ever be lost again. Titus 1:2, “In hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began;”
