Where Is Your Heart?

Matthew 6:21, "For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also."

This is an amazing Scripture. The Word of God plainly teaches that a person's heart will be where their treasure is also at. Most people have their heart in the wrong place. Many people's heart is in their materialistic possessions or some vain earthly pursuit. You cannot take any gold or money with you when you die (1st Timothy 6:7). Many people's treasure is in sports. Americans worship the human body, which will all return to the ground within 100-years.

Philippians 2:21, “For all seek their own, not the things which are Jesus Christ's.” Few people truly love God. Very few believers live for Jesus Christ, having their treasure in Heaven...

Matthew 6:19-24, “Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal: But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal: For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also. The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light. But if thine eye be evil, thy whole body shall be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in thee be darkness, how great is that darkness! No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.”

The Bible teaches that God wants us to lay up treasures in Heaven by living for God (Romans 12:1-2; 2nd Corinthians 6:14-17), winning lost souls to Jesus Christ (Proverb 11:30; Daniel 12:3; 2nd Corinthians 3:7-8; 5:10-11; Philippians 2:16), reaching out to befriend the least of these (Matthew 25:40,45), contending for the Biblical Christian faith (Jude 1:3) and losing our life for Jesus' sake and the gospel's (Matthew 19:29; Mark 10:29-30).

Where is your heart friend? Are you living selfishly for yourself? How does God and His Word fit into your daily life? Do you have sorrow and a burden over hellbound sinners? (Psalm 126:5-6; Proverb 11:30; Luke 8:11-15; John 3:36; 2nd Thessalonians 1:8-9; Revelation 20:11-15; 21:8). Revelation 14:11, “And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name.” This will be the eternal fate of all Christ-rejecters. Hundreds-of-millions of people in the world today are already worshipping the Beast. There is no denying the Satanic hand sign, which shows one's allegiance to Satan and his New World Order, i.e., the Beast system of the coming Antichrist.

If you are a soulwinner, then your treasures are in Heaven (not only the rewards which God will give you for serving Him faithfully, but also the born-again souls which will one day be with you in eternity). Daniel 12:3 proclaims that soulwinners will shine as the brightness of the stars forever. I believe the reason why is because the people whom we lead to Jesus Christ here on earth will be with us in Heaven.

The Bible plainly states the importance of the soulwinning believer. Romans 10:14-15, “How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher? And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!” Amen!

Sadly, most churchgoers have ugly feet because they never go soulwinning. God wants each believer to have beautiful feet as Romans 10:15 teaches. Many religious people aren't even saved, having churchianity instead of Christianity. Today's churches are filled with make-believers instead of born-again believers. What irony! The Gospel is so delicate and simple, and yet so easily corrupted (and Satan has corrupted it in most religious circles!). The great need of the hour is preaching PREACHERS! The great need of this last hour is SOULWINNERS!

The world has been saturated with all manner of junk religious literature, lame so-called Christian radio broadcasts and the heresy of Lordship Salvation. Jesus came to SAVE SINNERS! Let's get back to THE BIBLE! Jesus commanded His disciples to SEARCH THE SCRIPTURES in John 5:39. This is what we are to do. Phooey on all the so-called “Christian” magazines, radio broadcasts, books, pamphlets, seminaries (cemeteries), schools and so forth. Nearly everything labeled as “Christian” these days is virtually void of TRUTH.

Someone recently asked me to sum up the Bible in as few words as possible. I replied with one word: TRUTH. Nearly everything that is presented as being “Christian” these days is woefully lacking of the TRUTH. In John 17:17 Jesus said, “Sanctify them through Thy truth: Thy word is truth.” God's Word is the TRUTH. Nearly all of religion is demonic lies, deceptions and corruptions of the Scriptures. I don't want people to listen to me. I say the same thing to everyone that God told Peter, James and John in Matthew 17:5b, “HEAR YE HIM”! Jesus is precious! Hear ye Him!

Where is your heart? Jesus said in Matthew 6:24 that no person can serve God and wealth. History has shown that wealth and Christianity are diametrically opposed to each other. Jesus taught that very few wealthy people ever go to Heaven (Matthew 19:24). Americans are spoiled rotten. We have been blessed so much and yet we spit in God's face by murdering over 50,000,000 children through abortion since 1973, going to war to steal the natural resources of other nations (like Iraq), killing the innocent (the Iraq War death toll is 1,455,590 people), promoting homosexuality in public schools, committing adultery, divorcing, cursing in God's name, drunkenness, feminism, homosexuality, Communism and every sin imaginable. And then they officially nickname Las Vegas to “SIN CITY.” God bless America? Are you kidding me? Only in your dreams!

It is tragic that most people have their heart set upon earthly wealth—a retirement, a saving's account, the Stock Market, owning a house and property, a lawsuit settlement, trying to win the State lottery, et cetera. Greed has absolutely no place in the Christian life! Something is very wrong with a professed believer who continuously talks about money and worldly possessions. They will be poor in Heaven and ashamed, knowing that they never led anyone to the Lord Jesus while they had the opportunity. They will regret their wasted life, and lost opportunities to witness to the lost souls whom they passed on a daily basis.

Soulwinning is so easy—you simply tell people how you got saved. You come as a needy SINNER and you trust upon the SAVIOR to be forgiven, believing that He died in your place on the cross of Calvary. Jesus was buried and three days later he resurrected from the dead. That is the 'GOOD NEWS' (or, 'GOSPEL') by which we are saved, “TO SAVE THEM THAT BELIEVE” (1st Corinthians 1:21b). Jesus paid a debt that He did not owe, because we owed a debt of sin that we could not pay. There is NO religion involved in salvation. There are NO ceremonies, rituals nor self-righteous requirements. No, salvation is of the Lord alone. Salvation is receiving, not giving. We simply receive the gift of God through faith in Jesus Christ, the Son of God. This is the entire reason for which the Gospel of John was written, to convince us that Jesus is the Son of God, the Christ, so that we might believe to be saved. John 20:31, “But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name.”
