Don't Watch Too Much News On TV

Philippians 4:8-9, “Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you.”

I think as Christians we certainly should be aware of what is going on in our local society, nation and world news. However, due to the negative nature of the news media, especially the ungodly American newsmedia, it is not advisable to watch too much news. Truthfully, the news is downright depressing, and they just repeat the SAME NEWS over and over and over. If you watch a dozen different news sources, you'll hear all the SAME TALKING POINTS (key phrases intended to shape public opinion), revealing that all of the news sources get their information from the SAME ORIGIN. In other words, it doesn't matter what news media outlet you watch, because THEY ARE TOLD WHAT TO REPORT! If you watch closely, they all read off a teleprompter in the background.

Gladly, I don't have TV on Guam, not because I'm a great Christian, but because it is too expensive (about $1,500 a year). So I watch YouTube for the news, or I'll listen to a few minutes each day of audio news from Salem Radio News (SRN). But I generally only watch the news once or twice a week, and only for about 30 minutes. As soon as they start repeating the same news, I'm out of here!

Kindly, if you sit parked in front of your TV all day long, watching Fox News, ABC or CNN, you're going to be depressed! Worse, you're going to be indoctrinated with their lying propaganda. Fox News, CNN and other major media outlets simply cannot be trusted for honest news. In recent decades, about 50 media sources were all bought-up and consolidated into just 6 media outlets! This gives the Luciferian powers behind the scenes the ability to shape your reality, to think the way they program you to think. It is called “Social Engineering.” Few Christians understand that Americans have been indoctrinated their whole life to think a certain way. Feminism is not a trend, it is a Satanic philosophical mindset that is the enemy of God, rooted in rebellion, which has ALIENATED WOMEN FROM MEN. Please don't believe everything you hear on the TV! I have learned to be objective and question everything.

I agree with Pastor Jeff Owens, who says:
Don't watch too much news. Watch enough, that you know what's going on; but not so much, that it depresses and panics you!” Pastor Jeff Owens, A Biblical Response To The Coronavirus
Here is our text passage again...
Philippians 4:8-9, “Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good reportif there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you.”
Why do you think the Devil has flooded television with Reality Crime Shows? Satan wants people to be thinking about violence! Everything today is centered around violence, immorality, perversion, rebellion, idolatry, covetousness, blasphemy against God, and all manner of sin. God doesn't want us to saturate our minds with that GARBAGE!

Look at the list of things that God wants us to THINK ABOUT:

  • true
  • honest
  • just
  • pure
  • lovely
  • good report
  • virtue
  • praise

That excludes over 97% of television programming and Hollywood movies today. We need a revival in our churches of RIGHT THINKING! That is what preaching does—it helps us THINK RIGHT!!! Everything in life is a MINDSET!
