Why Secular Psychology Cannot Help You

Psalms 1:1-3, “Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.  And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.”

Secular psychologists are all false prophets! They offer no hope to their patients. Whereas the inspired Word of God teaches that faith in Jesus Christ is the ONLY source of true hope for humanity, secular psychology will NEVER mention the name of Jesus as the source of hope and healing.

1st Peter 1:3-5, “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you, Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.”

When a secular psychologist fails to tell their clients about Jesus, how can they offer anyone hope? 1st Corinthians 15:19-20, “If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable. But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept.” Our text passage of Scripture from a Psalms 1:1-3 warns against walking in the COUNSEL of the ungodly. This is why you should never seek counsel from a secular psychology.

Now, if you have a mental health problem that is beyond the realm of biblical counseling, then you might need medication (drugs) to cope with your affliction. So, you may need help from a licensed psychiatrist who can legally prescribe drugs (a psychologist cannot prescribe drugs). I heard my favorite preacher, Pastor Jack Hyles (1926-2001), say in a sermon that some people do need help from a psychiatrist. I fully agree. There are some crazy people in this world who need help that is beyond the capabilities of the local New Testament church. Albeit, having said that, I firmly believe that at least 95% of people who go to a psychiatrist don't need to. Their problem is sin. There problem is rebellion against the God of the inspired King James Bible. My long time ministry friend, Pastor Max Younce (1935-2023), preached a helpful sermon on this very topic...

The heathen world (including secular psychology) doesn't recognize sin as the core culprit of humanity's problems and failures. Secular psychologists won't ever tell you the truth that your mental problems are likely caused by your unwillingness to receive Jesus Christ as your personal savior, and that living in rebellion against the inspired Holy Bible will ruin your life. Psalms 9:17, “The wicked shall be turned into hell, and all the nations that forget God.” A non-Christian counselor forgets God. He or she legally is not even allowed to counsel you on the basis of Scriptural teachings. If they did, they could lose their professional license as a psychologist, and risk rejection and scorn from heathen peers.

The Holy Bible teaches that in many cases God wants us to suffer. Yes, you read right (1st Peter 1:7-9). Suffering helps to conform us more into the image of Christ. The Apostle Paul teaches us as believers to rejoice in our afflictions, health problems and hardships, because when we are weak we are strong in Christ (2nd Corinthians 12:9-10). This is the exact opposite of what the foolish world teaches! The world teaches the foolish idea popularize by Charles Darwin in the 19th century that only the strong survive. But the Bible teaches that only the weak survive in Christ. God will use a proud Christian (James 4:6). Secular psychology won't tell you the truth that suffering is meaningful and even necessary for Christian growth.

Whereas the heathen world tells us to believe in our self, the inspired Holy Bible commands us instead to trust in God (Mark 11:22). Secular psychology won't tell you the importance of forgiving others on the basis that God forgives those who trust in His only begotten Son (Ephesians 4:32). Since all my sins have been forgiven by faith alone in Jesus Christ, I am commanded by God to forgive others. To refuse to forgive those people who have hurt us in the past may cause mental depression, frustration and anger issues. The first step to forgive others is to let God forgive you, by trusting Christ as your Savior. You will never be able to love others until you first allow God to love you (1st John 4:19).

1st Peter 2:2-3 tells us to “desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby: If so be ye have tasted that the Lord is gracious.” A secular psychologist won't tell you this truth. Psychologists will often blame your parents, you, your spouse or other external factors in your life, but they won't tell you what the Bible says. Proverbs 14:27, “The fear of the LORD is a fountain of life, to depart from the snares of death.” Only a fool tries to counsel someone how to live a happy life apart from faith in Jesus Christ.

I recently met a 52 year old woman who went to school in her youth to become a secular psychologist. She couldn't even carry on a normal conversation with me without speaking of God as merely the “energy” in the universe, and talking about maintaining proper “human frequencies” for good health and wellbeing. I discerned in less than a minute that she sadly has been sucked into the Devil's New Age movement. I shared the Gospel with her and offered a free hard copy of Michael P. Bowen's helpful book, “I Never Knew You.” Tragically, she rejected the book and said she wasn't interested in learning how to go to Heaven. One day in eternity she will rue the day that she turned down the Good News of Jesus Christ.

I have learned in life that secular psychology and New Age are often closely related. The problem is that the heathen world are attempting to solve their own dilemmas without the inspired Word of God. 2nd Timothy 3:7, “Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.” The inspired Word of God contains the answers to life's problems. Secular psychology fails to recognize the reality of sin, which is the core of man's miseries. In sharp contrast, the Holy Bible identifies the origin of sin in the Garden of Eden (Romans 5:12), and identifies the remedy for sin through faith in Jesus Christ (Romans 5:1).

Beware Of Another Jesus

2nd Corinthians 11:3-4, “But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ. For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with him.”

The Apostle Paul warns us about another Jesus in our text Scripture passage. Many religions propagate a false narrative of who Jesus really is. Take for example the Mormon religious cult. Contrary to the inspired Holy Bible, Mormons believe that Jesus was first made by God the Father, then he progressed, eventually became exalted to godhood and is now united in purpose (this is a Mormon website) and power with the Father. According to perverse Mormon theology, Jesus was merely a man who became a god; as opposed to the eternal Son who took on flesh (John 1:1-3, 14).

Like the Jehovah's Witness cult, Mormons teach that Jesus was the brother of Lucifer. Mormons falsely teach that Jesus proposed a better plan of redemption than Lucifer and won the designation of “Messiah.” Mormons bizarrely teach that Jesus

Mormons talk about a Jesus who was the spirit child of Heavenly Father and Heavenly Mother. They refer to Jesus as the brother of Lucifer who proposed a better plan of redemption and won the designation “Messiah.” They believe in a Jesus who filled in the gap of humanity’s need through his atoning sweat in the garden. Mormons strangely believe (this is a Mormon website) that Jesus paid for ours sins in the Garden of Gethsemane while agonizing, where the Bible says His sweat was as great drops of blood (Luke 22:44); rather than redeeming us as the Bible teaches through His sacrifice on the cross of Calvary (Hebrews 12:2).

Beware of another Jesus dear reader! Mormons have another Jesus! John 6:40, “And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day.” You cannot “believe on him (the Son)” Jesus if you have THE WRONG Jesus. We “see the Son” in the inspired Holy Bible, as He really is, the virgin-born eternal Son of God, the sinless Christ, who was crucified on a cross for our sins! But tragically Mormons, Muslims, Jehovah's Witnesses, Buddhists and Roman Catholics, to name but a few groups of infidels, have ANOTHER JESUS who cannot save anyone. Putting your trust (faith, reliance) in ANOTHER JESUS cannot produce the new birth (i.e., to be born again) which Jesus warned is mandatory to enter into the Kingdom of God (John 3:1-7).

We know Scripturally that Satan is a finite created being—a malevolent fallen archangel—Lucifer. Jesus always existed, because He is almighty God (Revelation 1:8). Contrary to what all the tampered with modern Bible revisions say, God did not create all things “through” Jesus; but rather, all things were made “by” Jesus (John 1:3 - King James Bible). I cannot warn you enough to avoid all modern English revisions of the Bible, because they have been perverted by wicked sinners. Only the King James Bible is the inspired trustworthy Word of God.

Beware of another Jesus! I recently shared the Gospel with a woman. She is 52 years old, a mother of 6 children, and she told me that she has a degree in psychology. Oh boy! As she talked about the “energy” exerted between us humans and our need to maintain proper “frequencies” for our overall well-being, it didn't take me very long to sadly realize that she has been sucked hook, line and sinker into the demonic New Age movement. Sadly, she declined to accept a free hard copy that I kindly offered her of Michael P. Bowen's helpful book, “I Never Knew You” (free .pdf version), which presents the Gospel beautifully. She sadly doesn't want the truth (2nd Timothy 3:7). I have learned over the duration of my lifetime that secular psychology is practically synonymous with heathen New Age doctrine. I feel sorry for this woman. She has been lied to by Satan, drawn into the wacky New Age religion. I believe New Age will be the religion of the coming Antichrist, the Man of Sin, whom the Bible says will worship “the god of forces” (Daniel 11:38).

When it comes to salvation, we don't accomplish some of it and then allow Jesus to finish it. Sadly, this is the garbage being preached in most churches today, which tragically includes most Baptist churches. Lordship Salvation mixes works with grace, perverting God's simple plan of salvation. Lordship Salvation cannot produce the new birth that is required to enter into Heaven. But that is ANOTHER GOSPEL, in this blog we're addressing ANOTHER JESUS. You cannot be born again if you believe that Jesus is merely a good man who once lived upon the earth.

The famous civil rights activist and Baptist preacher, Martin Luther King Jr., wickedly denied Jesus' deity. King also denied Jesus' virgin birth and physical resurrection. Although he was a Baptist preacher, Mr. King no doubt went to Hell when he was assassinated in 1968 (John 8:24). NO ONE is a born again Christian who denies Jesus' deity, virgin birth and bodily resurrection. That is ANOTHER JESUS! To be saved, you MUST believe on the correct Jesus.

Let's examine the Jehovah's Witness' (JW's) cult. JW's errantly believe that Jesus and Lucifer are brothers. They teach that Michael the archangel became Jesus on earth, and then when Christ went back to Heaven, he became Michael again. We know biblically that Jesus has always been the eternal Son of God. Renee Roland is a popular female preacher on YouTube. Sadly, she foolishly teaches that Jesus didn't became the Son of God until he came to earth. Kindly said, I believe that Renee is not saved. She denies that Christ-rejecters will spend eternity burning in the literal fires of Hell. She denies the eternal Sonship of Jesus. Renee propagates ANOTHER JESUS that is not the same Jesus portrayed in the inspired Holy Bible!

Going back to the Jehovah Witnesses, their cult also has ANOTHER JESUS. JW's deny that Jesus is almighty God. They instead errantly teach that Jesus is “a god,” but not The God. However, we read in Revelation 1:8 that Jesus called Himself “the Almighty.” In John 10:33 we clearly see that Jesus claimed to be God, for which the wicked unbelieving Pharisees stoned Him in an attempt to murder the Lord.

I tell you with all biblical authority dear reader that there is no salvation in these false religions. Hellbound Roman Catholics also have ANOTHER JESUS. They elevate Mary (Jesus' biological mother) to the level of Christ Himself, even in some cultures teaching that Mary is a “co-redemptrix” with Christ, helping to save sinners. Catholics are sinfully taught to pray to Mary, so that she will go soften Jesus' heart to get their prayers answered. That is evil ideology! The Bible plainly teaches in 1st Timothy 2:5-6, “For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time.” Jesus is the only Mediator (the God-man) who intercedes between God and men. Jesus again makes this truth plain to see in John 14:6, “Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” Mary was a dirty guilty sinner, just like you and me and everyone else; she cannot do anything to help get your prayers answered, and it is very evil to think otherwise.

Have you believed another Jesus friend? In Islam, a deadly false religion, they teach in the Koran that Jesus is not the only begotten Son of God. What saith the Scripture? 1st John 2:22-23, “Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son. Whosoever denieth the Son, the same hath not the Father: (but) he that acknowledgeth the Son hath the Father also.”

As you talk with different people throughout your life, you will discover as I have that there are all kinds of strange, dangerous and unbiblical ideas in society. You'll find every philosophy from A to Z, from soup to nuts! For this reason it is imperative that we (as God's redeemed children) be firmly grounded and settled in the inspired Holy Bible.

Colossians 1:21-23a, “And you, that were sometime alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now hath he reconciled In the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and unblameable and unreproveable in his sight: If ye continue in the faith grounded and settled, and be not moved away from the hope of the gospel, which ye have heard, and which was preached to every creature which is under heaven...”

This passage of inspired Scripture is not teaching that you can lose God's free gift of eternal life, nor that we must labor to maintain a state of salvation. Salvation is not a state which we must strive to remain in; but rather, a new birth—a one time supernatural miracle by God's Holy Spirit. This passage, in my humble opinion, simply refers to people who attend church for years without ever being born again, so in time they leave because they were never really saved at all. Satan's greatest weapon is to con people into living the Christian life without ever being born again.

The true Jesus of the Holy Bible (all Scriptures references are only to the King James Bible):

• Jesus always existed as God, and the Son of God (Hebrews 13:8)
• Jesus is a member of the Godhead, aka, the Trinity (Matthew 28:19-20; 1st John 5:7)
• Jesus was not created, but He did create all things (John 1:3)
• Jesus is the incarnate (made flesh) Word of God (John 1:1-3, 14; Revelation 19:13)
• Jesus was born of a virgin (Isaiah 7:14; Matthew 1:23)
• Jesus was God upon the earth (1st Timothy 3:16; Colossians 2:9)
• Jesus is the only begotten Son of God (John 3:16)
• Jesus is the Christ (John 20:31)
• Jesus never sinned one time (Hebrews 4:15)
• Jesus died on a cross to pay for our sins (1st Corinthians 1:17; 1st Corinthians 15:1-6)
• Jesus was buried in a tomb (1st Corinthians 15:1-6)
• Jesus resurrected physically from the dead after three days (1st Corinthians 15:1-6)
• Jesus physically ascended into Heaven in a body (Acts 1:11)
• Jesus physically exists in Heaven, sitting on a throne to the Father's right side (Colossians 3:1).
• Jesus is physically coming back to the earth in the future (Revelation 1:7)

These are biblical fundamental truths, aka, the doctrine of Christ (2nd John 1:9-10). Please don't let anyone deceive you by selling you a counterfeit Jesus.

The Most Horrifying Thought Of All

“In FLAMING FIRE taking VENGEANCE on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ: Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord...” —2nd Thessalonians 1:8

 As I was resting this afternoon, I pondered how horrifying it will be for most people when they die—realizing for the first time in their existence that the Holy Bible was 100% true, but they rejected it, and now it is TOO LATE and they cannot go back! What a horrifying thought. Can you image dying, and then finding yourself in Hell, tormented in flames of fire, and you know that there is no way out, no escape, no rest, no relief, no water, no mercy, nor compassion, no love, no joy, no peace, no friends, no second chances, no end in sight... DAMNED FOR ALL ETERNITY!!! It will be just like being buried alive! That thought should scare you immensely if you've never been born-again by faith in the Gospel of Jesus Christ!

All of today's boastful atheists, blasphemers and God-haters will one day bow and confess in eternity that Jesus Christ is Lord of all (Philippians 2:9-10). They will weep bitter tears of regret and sorrow, and gnash their teeth in shock and agony, as they realize they could have spent eternity freely living a life that those in Beverly Hills, California, today could only envy. If you die in your sins friend, how will you feel when you see Christians in Heaven enjoying all that is good (Romans 8:32), but yourself spending eternity suffering without rest in the horrifying Lake of Fire? You will be tormented, miserable and wishing you had never been born. You will be terrified beyond imagination!!! Luke 13:28, “There shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth, when ye shall see Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, and all the prophets, in the kingdom of God, and you yourselves thrust out.”

Why Pastors Don't Preach On Hell Anymore

I wouldn't give you a dime for a so-called “church” that doesn't preach on Hell, fire and damnation. If your church is dead, please leave. What's the use of going to a church that doesn't have preaching? Why waste your time? Why attend a church that has fallen prey to the Lordship Salvation heresy? Why attend a church that uses a satanic modern Bible version? You won't change them, they'll corrupt you! I'm not saying to leave an imperfect church, God forbid. Albeit, when a pastor is so arrogant and distant from God that he is following heretics like Ravi Zacharias, Billy Graham, Rick Warren, John MacArthur and other ecumenical false prophets, it's time to get out!

Most churches today are DEAD spiritually. I'll tell you, I'm totally disgusted with a capital “D” at today's pathetic churches, especially our Independent Baptist churches. They're no longer truly fundamental with few exceptions. What has happened in America? I'll tell you what has happened. Luke 16:13, “No servant can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.” Very few pastors who serve money are aware of it, because denial is a part of our sinful human nature.

This is why the Bible teaches in Jeremiah 17:9, “The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?” Most of today's churches are DEAD. I'm talking about the Bob Jones crowd. I'm talking about the Northland Baptist University crowd. I'm talking about the Southwestern Baptist Seminary crowd. I'm talking about the Southern Baptist Convention crowd and Dallas Theological University. I could list thousands of dead theological institutions, Bible colleges, seminaries and groups.

It was Evangelist Billy Sunday who rightly said a century ago...

“It would be a godsend if the Church would suffer persecution today; she hasn't suffered it for hundreds of years. She is growing rich and lagging behind. Going back.”

In 2014, a century later after Billy Sunday's indictment of modern churches, nothing further can be said except that Billy Sunday didn't know how right he was!!!

If I had my way, I'd fire every pastor who doesn't preach on Hell. I know a Baptist pastor who won't preach on Hell, but he invites out-of-town evangelists who'll do the dirty work for him and mention Hell. Still, I have more respect for that milquetoast preacher than I do for those shameful preachers who dare not even allow others to mention Hell, fire and damnation from the pulpit. The love of money has destroyed our churches. And by the way, you don't have to be greedy or covetous to SERVE money, you just need to prioritize money over the truth. Notice in Luke 16:13 that the Bible contrasts who you are serving: God or mammon (wealth).

Most religious people fail to understand that only God decides who or what comprises a “church.” Mormons are a satanic cult, not a New Testament church. Seventh Day Adventists are a satanic cult, not a Biblical church. Roman Catholicism is a satanic cult, not a Spirit-filled church in any way. Catholics are two-fold the children of Hell, both because they are blinded by false religion and also need to get saved. You can't get saved until you first realize that you are lost. That's what repentance is all about. Repentance is realizing that you are a woeful sinner in the eyes of a holy God, which causes you to see your need for the Savior, Jesus Christ.

There is a Path to Heaven That Leads to Hell

It depresses me when I think about the world's one billion Christ-rejecting Muslims. They're all going straight to Hell when they die. That thought should depress every soul-conscious Christian. Islam (whose UNholy book is the Koran, or Quran) adamantly deny that Jesus is the Christ. 1st John 2:22, “Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son.” The Holy Bible calls Muslims “liars” and “antichrists”! May I say, Judaism (whose UNholy book is the Talmud) also denies that Jesus is the Christ. Judaizers are also liars and antichrists! There are many ways that Satan blinds and misleads people away from the Gospel (good news) of Jesus Christ by which we are saved (2nd Corinthians 4:3-4) . . .

Romans 1:15-17, “So, as much as in me is, I am ready to preach the gospel to you that are at Rome also. For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.”

Jesus' disciples asked Him an amazing question that Christian believers often ask today, two millenniums later...

Luke 13:23-24, “Then said one unto him, Lord, are there few that be saved? And he said unto them, Strive to enter in at the strait gate: for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able.”

What horrifying words! Jesus said that MOST people who seek entrance into Heaven's pearly gates will be turned away!!!

I once heard the missionary Paris Reidhead (1919-1992) foolishly say in a sermon titled, “Ten Shekels And A Shirt,” that people who only get saved due to fear of going to Hell are false converts. Nothing could be further from the truth! Wanting to escape the fires of Hell is a very good reason to seek salvation.

Here is Paris Reidhead's satanic false plan of salvation . . .

“Dear friends there's only one reason, one reason, for a sinner to repent—and that's because Jesus Christ deserves the worship, and the adoration, and the love, and the obedience of his heart—not because he'll go to Heaven. If the only reason you repented dear friend was to keep out of Hell, all you are is just a Levite serving for ten shekels and a shirt. That's all! You're trying to serve God because He'll do you good. But a repentant heart is a heart that has seen something of the enormity of the crime of playing God and denying the just and righteous God the worship and the obedience that He deserves.

Why should a sinner repent? Because God deserves the obedience and love that he has refused to give Him, not so that he'll go to Heaven. [If] The only reason he repents is so that he'll go to Heaven, it's nothing but trying to make a deal or bargain with God. Why should a sinner give up all his sins? Why should he be challenged to do it? Why should he make restitution when he's coming to Christ? Because God deserves the obedience that He demands!

I have talked with people who have no assurance of sins forgiven. They want to feel saved before they're willing to commit themselves to Christ; but I believe that the only ones whom God actually witnesses (by His Spirit) that they're born-again are the people (whether they say it or not) that come to Jesus Christ and say something like this—'Lord Jesus I'm going to obey you, and love you, and serve you, and do what you want me to do—as long as I live, even if I go to Hell at the end of the road—simply because you are worthy to be loved and served and I'm not trying to make a deal with You!'”

According to Mr. Reidhead, only repentance which sees God as a holy God and compels a person to turn from their sin and pursue a holy life is acceptable to God. That is a total misrepresentation of the plan of salvation. THE TRUTH is that eternal life is a “free gift” (Romans 5:15, 6:23; Ephesians 2:8-9) to anyone who wants it. You don't have to pursue holiness to obtain it, for that would be human effort and self-righteousness.

A changed life is the FRUIT of genuine repentance, and not a part of the ROOT of saving-faith; but you cannot and should not mandate those changes for salvation, because men cannot see into other men's hearts. 1st Samuel 16:7b, “for the LORD seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the LORD looketh on the heart.” This is why James spoke of being justified by works in the sight of men (James 2:18-22); whereas Paul spoke of being justified in the eyes of God (Romans 4:5-6).

Please don't confuse sonship with discipleship and fellowship. God put Hebrews 12:6-8 in the Bible for those of His children who choose to live in sin. God chastises and scourges His children, if they are indeed His children!!! God doesn't discipline the Devil's children (John 8:44).

Romans 10:3-4 plainly teaches that we are saved by God's righteousness through faith in Christ Jesus, and not by our own self righteous works. Again, please consider the precious and plain teachings of Philippians 3:9, “And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith.”

The rich man in Luke 16:19-31 died in his sins without Christ. During his earthly life, the rich man had no interest in the things of God. He lived in splendor in a mansion and enjoyed all the delicacies of life, eating heartily and making merry in his heart daily; but now he is burning in Hell, being tormented in flames...

Luke 16:22b-24, “the rich man also died, and was buried; And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom. And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame.”

Please don't wait until it is too late like the rich man in Luke 16:19-31 foolishly did. In Hell (Greek: Hades) he lifted up his voice in torments, begging for a single drop of water, but it was too late. The rich man was shown no mercy by God nor anyone else. Oh, my friend, do not toy with God. Do not tempt the mighty hand of God. Today could be your last day on earth. Please do not miss what just might be your last train to Heaven. The engine is roaring. The train whistle is blowing. The wheels are ready to be set in motion. Are you a secure passenger or a foolish spectator who will be left behind? Now is the time of salvation!!!

The Bible Warns of Everlasting Fire, Torment and Suffering in Hell

I was saddened today as I thought about all the billions of people who are going to burn in Hell for all eternity. Do you realize that even after a trillion years, it won't even be the beginning of one's punishment if they die in their sins without Jesus Christ. Many people, even preachers, have difficulty grasping the reality of eternal punishment; however, we are not as holy as God, so we cannot understand such things as God does. If the Holy Bible says it, that settles it, whether we believe it or not.

Only a complete fool would disregard the inspired Words of God...

Revelation 20:10-15, “And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever. And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them. And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.”

Jesus warned of the fire that shall never be quenched in Hell. Presently, unsaved people go to Hades (Hell) when they die, waiting trial at The Great White Throne of Judgment (Revelation 20:11-15), at which time they will be sentenced and cast into Gehenna (Hell), which is the Lake of Fire forever (for an in-depth study on Hell, please see: A Biblical Examination of Hell)...

Mark 9:44-48, “And whosoever shall offend one of these little ones that believe in me, it is better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and he were cast into the sea. And if thy hand offend thee, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter into life maimed, than having two hands to go into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched: Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched. And if thy foot offend thee, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter halt into life, than having two feet to be cast into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched: Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched. And if thine eye offend thee, pluck it out: it is better for thee to enter into the kingdom of God with one eye, than having two eyes to be cast into hell fire: Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched.”

The Lake of Fire (Greek: Gehenna) is a place of torment with fire and brimstone. There is smoke. There will be no rest day nor night forever. This is the future home of all the damned who die in their sins without Christ, and those who worshipped THE BEAST...

Revelation 14:9-13, “And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand, The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb: And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name. Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus. And I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Write, Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth: Yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labours; and their works do follow them.”

Be Careful What Advice You Give To Others

Esther 5:14, “Then said Zeresh his wife and all his friends unto him, Let a gallows be made of fifty cubits high, and tomorrow speak thou unto the king that Mordecai may be hanged thereon: then go thou in merrily with the king unto the banquet.  And the thing pleased Haman; and he caused the gallows to be made.”

Esther 9:25, “But when Esther came before the king, he commanded by letters that his wicked device, which he devised against the Jews, should return upon his own head, and that he and his sons should be hanged on the gallows.”

I love the true story of Esther in the Old Testament. You can hear Alexander Scourby read the entire book of Esther in just 30 minutes! Although "God" is not mentioned even once in all ten chapters of Esther, we see the hand of God working throughout the book of Esther. We learn a great truth then, that when we cannot see the great HAND of our God, we should trust the great HEART of our God. If you have never watched the movie of Esther, it is wonderful. The story of Esther is amazing!

As the story is told, we read that Haman was a bigshot in the Medo-Persian kingdom. When Haman passed by all the townspeople bowed in reverence to him, making obeisance (worship). But there was a Christian man named Mordecai, a Jew, who refused to bow to any man! Amen and amen! It is wicked when Catholics bow in reverence to their priests and the Pope (Matthew 23:9). Every time Haman passed by and saw that Mordecai refused to bow down to him, it burned him up inside. The matter festered like cancer in Haman's proud soul.

So, wicked Haman went home whining like a big baby because Mordecai refused to bow down before him. Like so many foolish women today, Haman's wicked wife suggested that Haman build a gallows 50 cubits (75 feet) high to hang Mordecai on. Oh my, what a foolish woman! Little did she know that her hateful words would come back to haunt her for the rest of her life. When Haman's ungodly plot to kill innocent Haman was exposed, his malicious plan backfired upon him and his family. Consequently, Haman and his ten sons were all hanged upon the 75 foot gallows that Haman's evil wife had told him to do. Talk about poetic justice!

Haman's foolish wife didn't think in a thousand years, that her evil words that evening at home to her husband would result in seeing all ten of her sons hanging lifeless 75 feet in the air by their necks. Do you know why she wanted the gallows built 75 feet high? It was so that the whole city could see what happens to anyone who refuses to bow to her husband, Haman. Talk about family pride! To appease her wicked husband's pride, she wanted him to make an example of innocent Mordecai, by hanging his dead body 75 feet in the air for all to see. Instead, the dead bodies of her husband and their ten sons were all displayed 75 feet in the air for the whole city and visiting travelers to see. What goes around comes around! Proverbs 26:27, “Whoso diggeth a pit shall fall therein: and he that rolleth a stone, it will return upon him.” Oh, you had better be careful what advice you give to others, especially your own family, because your words might come back to forever haunt you!

Ungodly feminist women (churches are full of them today) in particular are eager to give other women malicious advice to hurt their boyfriend or husband. Watch out! You'd better think twice, because you may live to regret your words and actions. Just like the snake (Satan) in Genesis who destroyed Eve's life, people are often no better than the serpent in the Garden of Eden. And then after they give you destructive advice to ruin your marriage and family, they are never heard from again, just like the disgusting serpent in Genesis chapter 3.

Please kindly tell meddling people to shut up! Get thee behind me, Satan! Many pastor's wives are devils, who will ruin your marriage if you are stupid enough to listen to their toxic feminist advice at a difficult time in your marriage. America's pastors and pastor's wives today are often public enemy number one! Nobody cares about your family any more than you do. Anybody who advises you to file for divorce, or subtly leads you in that direction, has been inspired by demons.

I hope you will read the book of Esther and let this truth sink in dear reader. I titled this article, “Be Careful What Advice You Give To Others.” But I could have equally titled it, “Be Careful What Advice You Take From Others.” Haman was a darn fool to take such horrible advice from his wife and friends. You see, those friends weren't the one's who would suffer the consequences of Haman's actions. It is easy for some wicked female Bible college staff member to advise a female student to call the police on her husband, because that staff member doesn't have to suffer the consequences that follow. That dumbass staff member has zero liability, but she is helping to ruin a marriage. I saw it happen. You are a FOOL if you ever call the police on your spouse, because the police couldn't care less about shooting people. Many a wives and mothers have rued the day that they ever called the cops on a loved one. I am thinking about a mother who wept bitterly when the police killed her teenage son. He was high on drugs in the backyard. She called the police, thinking it was the best thing to do. The police are trained to kill, kill, kill. You've got to be smarter than the average bear folks.

Please be careful what advice you take from people, including a pastor. I thank God that I didn't take the advice of dozens of dangerous doctors throughout my life, who likely would have killed me with experiential drugs and procedures. One crazy doctor (a neurologist on Guam) wanted to inject Botox into my neck to treat my pain. As I always do, I told him that I needed to go home and think about it. I read online that the U.S. FDA has issued warnings against taking Botox injections. I immediately decided not to take the injections. The FDA warned that you could develop permanent irreversible damage in non-related parts of your body, from where the injection was done. My quack doctor never told me any of that. I believe that everything I have shared with you so far in this blog falls under my favorite Bible verse from Proverbs 4:23, “Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.”

May we all be very careful what advice we give and take from others, because it could adversely affect or destroy somebody's life.

Beware Of Dangerous False Prophet Mike Adams (aka, “The Health Ranger”)

1st John 2:22-23, “Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son. Whosoever denieth the Son, the same hath not the Father: (but) he that acknowledgeth the Son hath the Father also.”

Mike Adams' teachings would be a great script for a new episode of The Outer Limits or Star Trek. Today, I found "Sermon 100" by Mike Adams.

Mike Adam's world view is pagan and disturbing to say the least. It was 33rd degree Freemason Manly P. Hall who rightly said:

“The half-truth is the most dangerous form of lie, because it can be defended in part by incontestable logic.”

Adams utilizes this common form of deception, when he keeps deceptively mentioning "God" and "the Bible," while simultaneously speaking of life as a "simulation" and his "church of natural abundance," which confuses people. Adams speaks of the "multiverse and the cosmos, teaching that God has given us to power to "create variations"  of our own existence by "choice and the application of free will." Adams is a bonafide nutcase!

Mike Adams condemns Christian churches for dropping the ball, for teaching salvation by grace alone through faith. Beginning just after 9 minutes into "Sermon 100," Adams errantly teaches that works are required to get to Heaven. He misinterprets James 2:8-17 from the Bible, teaching that we must keep the law (do works) to be saved. Adams says the churches are mostly wrong and we must do WORKS to spawn new universities and possibilities. Adams wickedly condemns the biblical truth of salvation by God's grace through faith alone, and falsely claims that the Apostle James rejects salvation by faith alone without works. Mike Adams has been inspired by demons. Adams is a complete hellbound fool who wrests the Scripture to his own destruction. ...

2nd Peter 3:16-17, “As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction. Ye therefore, beloved, seeing ye know these things before, beware lest ye also, being led away with the error of the wicked, fall from your own stedfastness.”

I once heard Pastor Jack Hyles (1926-2001) rightly teach that religious cults are started by unsaved people who try to understand the Holy Bible without the presence of the Author (God). They don't have the indwelling Holy Spirit (Romans 8:9), since they have never been born again, so they interpret the inspired Word of God from their own heathen perspective. That is what Mike Adams is doing. He is not saved, does not have the indwelling Holy Spirit, but yet he has attempted to figure out the Holy Bible from a humanistic point of view.

At 18 minutes into his "Sermon 100" video, he errantly teaches there are THREE THINGS you must do to get to heaven:

1. Repent of your sins (ask for forgiveness of your sins)
2. Be obedient to God's teachings and laws (possess good moral behavior, honesty)
3. Operate in service to others (give to and help others in need)

BLASPHEMY!!! Mike is a child of the Devil, preaching a counterfeit plan of salvation.

Mike Adams plainly denies that faith in the name of Jesus is the way to Heaven. Mike wickedly and foolishly says, "I think Jesus would approve of that plan (Mike's plan), because that is what He taught." Uh, no, that is NOT what Jesus taught. What saith the Scripture? ...

John 6:47, “Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me hath everlasting life.”

John 14:6, “Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.”

Mike errantly teaches that to get to Heaven, you must do good deeds as an expression of your faith in the teachings of Jesus. Mike says that ancient people who never heard the name of Jesus could still go to heaven by doing good works, “they earn their way to Heaven through the expression of faith through their deeds, by being good people” (22:22 time in sermon). So, according to Mike Adams you CAN get to Heaven without having any faith in Christ.

Mike Adams strongly disagrees with the inspired Holy Bible. We read in the book of Acts...

Acts 4:10-12, “Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you whole. This is the stone which was set at nought of you builders, which is become the head of the corner. Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.​”

According to Mike Adams (24:12 in "Sermon 100"), there are aliens (conscious beings) on other planets, and these wacky principles of salvation that he teaches also apply to them.

At 24:40 in "Sermon 100," Adams says he is trying help Christians to "smash the prison walls" in "limited thinking in churches and Bible schools" who teach salvation by faith alone in Jesus. Mike foolishly thinks that the biblical truth that salvation is found only through faith alone in the name of Jesus is a toxic teaching that must be overcome through enlightenment. Mike says today's churches must push beyond the boundaries and understand that "works" are required to get to Heaven. What a theological liar!!!

Mike bizarrely teaches that humans are "frozen light appearing as matter." He says we are "beings of light who are living in an artificial simulation which consists of the illusion of matter that is nothing but standing waves of light." He says, "we are made of that stuff." What a child of the Devil! Mike Adams is his own worst enemy. Mike Adams is a perfect example of what happens to an unsaved man who tries to do things his own way instead of God's way. Proverbs 16:25, "There is a way that seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death." Mike is blinded by Satan!

Kindly said, unfortunately, Mike Adams is a new age nutcase. Throughout his teachings he references the 1999 movie, "The Matrix" (a very popular science fiction film). Mike continually mentions the "red pill" from the movie. Mike's soul is broken! At 29:07 in "Sermon 100," he speaks of "morphic resonance," "cloud consciousness" and "patterns of nature." These are heathen new age terms, not biblical terms. Mike says we are "one with everything in the cosmos." That is pagan talk, not the words of a born again Christian. We are NOT one with the cosmos! Mike is an arrogant fool who thinks that local Christian churches around the world are enslaved to the false teaching that salvation is found only in the name of Jesus. Satan (Mike Adams), get thee behind me!

Please avoid this wicked false prophet Mike Adams (the so-called: "Health Ranger"). Mike needs Jesus Christ before it is too late for him. If he died today, God forbid, Mike would sadly spend eternity burning in the Lake of Fire (John 8:24; Revelation 14:13; 20:11-15). I sincerely hope that Mike repents of his counterfeit plan of salvation and new age nonsense before his time runs out. John 6:40,  “And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day.”

Dear friend, there is only ONE WAY to have your sins forgiven and go to Heaven someday, and that is through faith alone in the precious name of Jesus! To be saved, you must come to God by faith as a needy sinner and receive Christ's sacrifice on the cross as full-payment for your sins, believing that He was buried, but then resurrected from the dead three days later. This is 'THE GOSPEL (i.e., the 'GOOD NEWS') according to 1st Corinthians 15:1-6. There is NO OTHER WAY to Heaven, and anybody who says otherwise is calling God a liar. Kindly said, Mike Adams is a bold-faced liar.

2nd Timothy 4:2-4, “Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine. For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.”

I recently spoke with a 52 year old woman, who is a mother to six children (one a miscarriage). She told me she grew up in Minnesota and went to college to become a psychologist, because she was curious why people do the things that they do. Then she began to talk about the “energy” in the universe, and how we must keep our human “frequencies in alignment to promote well-being and good health.” She said that God is the energy in the universe. It didn't take me more than one minute to realize that she has been caught up into the Satanic new age movement. I felt so sorry for her, knowing that her mind is filled with unbiblical rubbish and tommyrot. Clearly, she is a child of the Devil (John 8:44), lost and hellbound in her sins (John 8:24). I thank God times ten thousand that I am a born again Christian, and that my mind is filled with the precious Words of the inspired King James Bible!

Dear reader, when anyone starts talking about God as being a form of “energy,” run! I asked the woman if she believed that God is an actual person, but she doesn't. I shared with her Colossians 3:1 from the Holy Bible, which plainly says that God sits upon a throne in Heaven, and Jesus sits on His Father's right hand. A “throne” is a concrete (as versus abstract) object. To sit upon a throne, God must have a physical body, and so also must Jesus His Son. She couldn't answer my reasoning from the Word of God.

I also shared with her the biblical truth that Jesus physically resurrected rom the dead in a literal body, and was seen by over 500 believers at one time (1st Corinthians 15:6). Then, when it was time to leave, Jesus physically and visibly ascended up into the heavens (Acts 1:11). There is nothing in the Bible which indicates that Jesus transformed from a physical body into a spirit form when He left the earth.

I humbly believe Jesus physically left this earth (accompanied by angels) and journeyed to the Pearly City of Heaven, wherever that may be located in the universe. In His resurrected body, Jesus walked through walls (John 20:26) and was immortal. Certainly He could survive traveling through space without an astronaut's suit. Granted, this is mere speculation, simply because the Bible does not tell us these things. What we do know factually is that Jesus resurrected and ascended into the clouds with a physical body.

I implore you dear reader to avoid the new age mess at all cost, lest you also become infected by it's tentacles. New age philosophy is everywhere today in American culture. Oprah Winfrey in particular has done more to promote the demonic new age movement than anybody else. Hundreds of her heathen guests are well known new age gurus, who reject the Holy Bible. Oprah has said publicly that Jesus couldn't possible be the only way to Heaven. Well, Oprah is 100% WRONG!!! What saith the Scripture? John 14:6, “Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.”

False Doctrine Is Everywhere Today

Hebrews 13:9, “Be not carried about with divers and strange doctrines. For it is a good thing that the heart be established with grace; not with meats, which have not profited them that have been occupied therein.”

There's a lot of strange things being taught in today's churches and Bible colleges. I found this excellent meme the other day. ...

If you visit enough churches nowadays you can find just about any strange doctrine. Please remember dear reader that the inspired King James Bible is not just our final authority, it is our only authority in all matters of faith, morality, doctrine and ethics. John 5:39, “Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me.” The Lord Himself commands us to SEARCH THE SCRIPTURES!

Tragically, most pastors today DO NOT search the Scriptures to form their teachings, they merely follow what other religious men are preaching. That is why the incompetent pastors at Pensacola Christian College (PCC) are today preaching another gospel of Lordship Salvation. They don't follow the inspired Holy Bible at PCC, they go along with the wrong crowd. Sadly, PCC denies that we have an inspired Holy Bible today, and they think the King James Bible has mistakes in it. I find no fault in the inspired KING JAMES BIBLE!!!

The biggest mistake you'll ever make is to follow the teachings of a pastor without SEARCHING THE SCRIPTURES to verify what he is telling you. We must be like THE BEREANS in the Bible. Acts 17:10-11, “And the brethren immediately sent away Paul and Silas by night unto Berea: who coming thither went into the synagogue of the Jews. These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.” I strongly encourage you to become an Objective Thinker! That is, question everything and test (try) it against the inspired Word of God (1st John 4:1). Sadly, much of the garbage that you'll hear preached in the average church and Bible college today is unbiblical tommyrot.

There's No Such Thing As A “Good Christian”

Romans 7:18-21, “For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing: for to will is present with me; but how to perform that which is good I find not. For the good that I would I do not: but the evil which I would not, that I do. Now if I do that I would not, it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me. I find then a law, that, when I would do good, evil is present with me.”

Every year I receive a remarkable amount of ministry emails from discouraged, frustrated and down believers who tell me of their futile struggle with sin; about their often failures to overcome temptation. I always reply by letting them know they are in good company, because I struggle with sin on a daily basis just like everyone else. The Apostle Paul admitted his struggle with sin on a regular basis, as seen in Romans 7:14-25. Even the best Christian is still a woeful dirty sinner. Only our position in Christ, which is by faith alone, makes us appear righteous in the sight of our holy Creator and God. That is why the only boast we can honestly and justifiably make as believers is to brag on our great God, Lord and Savior who died in our place on the cross. The only good thing in me is Jesus Christ!

However, I wisely learned a long time ago from Pastor Jack Hyles: “Don't be reluctant to admit to people that you have feet or clay, but don't ever show them your feet.” That is, it's perfectly okay to admit to others that you are a woeful sinner just like they are, but don't ever confess your sins to them.

There are a few reasons why you should never confess your sins to others:

1. They could go tell others. They might even tell the world about your sins on social media. Always protect your good name! Proverbs 22:1, “A good name is rather to be chosen than great riches, and loving favour rather than silver and gold.”
2. The details of your sins are absolutely none of anyone's business. I hate the Devil's modern corrupt Bible revisions, which change the truth into a lie (Romans 1:25). We read in James 5:16 in the inspired King James Bible to “confess your faults one to another,” but all of the modern corrupt Bibles changed it to “confess your sins” to others. That is NOT what the true Bible says. There is a gargantuan difference between apologizing to the pastor for being late at times to church, versus confessing to him that you've been lusting with sexual fantasies upon the pastor's wife. You'd be insane to confess your sins, and likely missing your teeth. There is a fine line between faith and foolishness!
3. Gossip can destroy even the best friendships. I lost a good friend from Bible college, when a wicked person spoke gossip to the man's wife, and she told her husband, and it permanently strained our friendship. More lives are ruined by an ungodly tongue than for any other reason. Proverbs 16:28, “A froward man soweth strife: and a whisperer separateth chief friends.”
4. Someday others may use your past against you. It's never wise to share your dirty laundry with others, for many reasons. Only God can forgive your sins, so only the Lord needs to know about your Skeleton Closet. Don't be reluctant to admit to people that you have feet of clay, but don't ever show them your feet.

Over the past 23 years of internet ministry since 2002 (it is 23 years this month in April), I have received tens of thousands of emails. More times that I care to remember, I have had people confess their sins to me. I didn't ask them to, they just did for whatever reason. I have to be on guard and be very careful as a Bible preacher, because I have many enemies. When a stranger contacts me and tells me of horrible sins they have committed, I always suspect that they might be attempting to get me to do the same, by sharing my sins with them. I NEVER do that, because they could maliciously publish my email all over cyberspace, blabbing what I told them in confidentiality. I have to always be on guard (Proverbs 4:23). I NEVER confess my sins to anybody except God in Heaven. I never type anything in an email that I wouldn't mind the whole world reading. That is just wise common sense. Always protect yourself.

The Bible teaches that the human heart is desperately wicked and deceitful. Jeremiah 17:9, “The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?” James 3:7-8 warns us that every wild beast has been tamed by mankind, but the human tongue can no man tame. The tongue is an unruly evil, set on fire of Hell, full of the poison of snakes. This is why King Solomon wrote in Proverbs 10:19, “In the multitude of words there wanteth not sin: but he that refraineth his lips is wise.” Perhaps God gave us two ears and one mouth, to teach us that we should listen twice as much as we talk. I admit that I am guilty of talking too much sometimes. It is a constant struggle to limit my words in conversation, to season my words with grace. Colossians 4:6, “Let your speech be alway with grace, seasoned with salt, that ye may know how ye ought to answer every man.”

There is no such thing as a good Christian. You might compare yourself to a worse person and feel like you're a good Christian, but we are all a spiritual mess! We are all struggling sinners. We all have to be careful about refraining from gossip. We all struggle with our own cesspool of weakness, hurt feelings, pride, resentment and anger. Don't judge others because they sin differently than you do! There is nothing worse than a judgmental believer who has become a fruit inspector. The wise and mature saint fully understands that he is just as wicked as the vilest sinner in God's sight, if it weren't for the sin-cleansing blood of Jesus (1st Peter 1:18-19). That is, my sin belongs to me, but my righteousness is Jesus Christ's. The ONLY righteousness that I have is the imputed righteousness of God through faith in Jesus (Romans 4:4-7). Philippians 3:9, “And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith...” Amen and amen.

You and I simply cannot live the Christian life in our own feeble human strength. What saith the Scripture? Galatians 2:20-21, “I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me. I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain.” Jesus lives the Christian life through us, if we yield to Him. This is the fruit of the blessed indwelling Holy Spirit (Galatians 2:22-25). Every believer has the Spirit of Christ, that is, the Holy Spirit living within our spirit, soul and body (Romans 8:9; 1st John 3:24).

Romans 7:24-25,  “O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death? I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then with the mind I myself serve the law of God; but with the flesh the law of sin.” Notice that the Apostle Paul didn't express remorse over the wretched man that he used to be; but rather, “O wretched man that I am!” The mature Christian doesn't look down on others who sin. No, he says in his heart of hearts, “We have sinned.” That is why the psalmist David exclaimed in Psalms 106:6, “We have sinned with our fathers, we have committed iniquity, we have done wickedly.” I love that godly humility! David didn't have a Pharisaical self-righteous attitude. He didn't say, “Our fathers have sinned.” He humbly said, “WE HAVE SINNED.” Don't ever speak evil against your parents, because whether you realize it yet or not, you are just as much a wicked sinner in God's sight as they were (James 2:10).

Humbly said, when people receive love, patience, comfort and mercy from me, it is not me; but rather, I am simply allowing God's Spirit to love, help, care and comfort others through me.
