The Man Who Believes On Jesus Christ Has Repented

Mark 1:15, “And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.” Luke 13:3, I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish. Acts 3:19, Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord; Acts 17:30, And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent:

These beautiful passages of Scripture are commonly cited by advocates of Lordship Salvation to justify their heresy of “turn away from your sin to saved. However, none of these passages teach that repentance means to turn away from your sins. A good rule to follow when interpreting the Bible is to never use an obscure passage to contradict a clear one. The Gospel of John was written for the purpose of getting people saved (John 20:31). In the book of John we find the word believe mentioned 85 times, but the word repent is not mentioned even once. This plainly evidences that the man who believes has also repented.

Something that bothers me is the deceitfulness of Baptist pastors and churches all across America. Evangelist John R. Rice (1895-1980) is still recognized as one of the most notable and respected leaders in the independent fundamental Baptist movement today. Dr. Rice founded the Sword Of The Lord in 1934. I love Brother Rice and fully support his ministry and the Sword Of The Lord still today, whose editor is now Dr. Shelton Smith.

As an example of what I mean by deceit, please read the following quote from the Statement of Faith of the Metro Baptist Church in Kansas City, Kansas...

You must repent.

“And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent:” (Acts 17:30) To repent literally means to have a change of mind (or spirit) toward God and toward sin. It means to turn from your sins, earnestly, with all your heart, and trust in Jesus Christ to save you. You can see then, how the man who believes in Christ, repents, and the man who repents, believes in Christ. [emphasis added]

To an unsaved person, the preceding skewed quote gives the impression that they must forsake sinful living to be saved. Here is a quote from the Statement of Faith from the Highland Baptist Church in Cumberland, Maryland...

You must repent

And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent: (Acts 17:30) To repent literally means to have a change of mind (or spirit) toward God and toward sin. It means to turn from your sins, earnestly, with all your heart, and trust in Jesus Christ to save you. You can see, then, how the man who believes in Christ repents and the man who repents believes in Christ. The jailer repented when he turned from sin to believe in the Lord Jesus Christ. [emphasis added]

SOURCE: http://highlandbaptistcumberlandmd.com/salvation

Did you notice that these two Statements of Faith are almost identical? That is because many churches, like these, simply repeat what Dr. John R. Rice teaches in his popular Gospel tract titled: “What Must I Do To Be Saved?” Here is a direct quote from Dr. Rice's tract:

“To repent literally means to have a change of mind or spirit toward God and toward sin. It means to turn from your sins, earnestly, with all your heart, and trust in Jesus Christ to save you. You can see, then, how the man who believes in Christ repents and the man who repents believes in Christ. The jailer repented when he turned form sin to believe in the Lord Jesus Christ.”

SOURCE: What Must I Do To Be Saved?

It bothers me when Baptist churches skew (a slanted position) Dr. Rice's writings, misrepresenting what he really taught. Anyone who represents Dr. Rice as teaching that you have to turn from sins, as a separate act from believing, is slandering him! Please read what Dr. Rice actually believes and teaches:

There are those hyper-dispensationalists who think that John the Baptist preached a different Gospel from Christ when he commanded repentance (Matt. 3:2). But it is the same repentance Jesus commanded in Matthew 4:17, in Luke 13:3 and 5, and the same repentance that Paul preached in Athens that God “now commandeth all men every where to repent” (Acts 17:30 31). Repentance is not a different plan of salvation from having faith: it is part of the same plan of salvation. Or rather repentance is simply another way of describing or looking at the plan of salvation. One who turns from sin to God has done so by trusting in Jesus ChristA change of mind toward sin is necessarily involved in saving faith.

Everyone who genuinely repented under the preaching of John the Baptist put his trust in the Saviour John the Baptist preached, and was regenerated. There is no such thing as being “a disciple of John the Baptist” in any honest sense without being a disciple of Jesus, that is, without trusting Christ for salvation. [emphasis added]

Oh dear friend, that is so beautiful. Please don't miss it! I have heard Missionary David W. Cloud and other false teachers, attempt to portray Dr. Rice as a proponent of Lordship Salvation, saying he taught that people must turn away from a lifestyle of sin to be saved. David Cloud even goes as far as to pitch Dr. John R. Rice against his successor Pastor Curtis Hutson (1934-1995). I explain this issue in the preceding hyperlink. Mr. Cloud claims that Curtis Hutson leaves off repentance, thus corrupting the Gospel. Nothing could be further from the truth

Kindly said, I am so sick and tired of Ray Comfort's damnable doctrines of devils. In all of his YouTube videos, Ray requires people to do TWO things to be saved. He first requires that people repent of their sins. He defines repentance as telling God you're sorry, and then living a LIFESTYLE OF REPENTANCE to prove the reality of your salvation. John R. Rice rightly taught that repentance and faith are simply two parts of ONE STEP of believing to be saved; whereas Ray Comfort errantly teaches that repentance and faith are TWO STEPS, which require an effort to stop living in sin to be saved.

These are two very different plans of salvation. It is very deceptive for any Baptist church to partially quote John R. Rice, telling people that repentance means to turn from your sins, earnestly, with all your heart.” In reality, in fact, that is NOT what repentance means!!!!!!! The word repent regarding salvation in the Bible is either the noun metanoia (a change of mind), or the verb form metanoeo (to think differently). Mark 1:15, “And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.”

To be saved, you must think differently and believe the Good News (i.e., Jesus died on the cross to pay for our sins, He was buried and physically resurrected three days later). We are saved by believing, not by repenting; but repentance makes believing possible. If you didn't change your mind about whatever it is that has been preventing you from believing, then you wouldn't have come to Christ to be forgiven and saved. The only thing you need to change your mind about is whatever has been hindering you from believing.

Unbelief is the only thing that keeps a person from believing. To require that someone commit to turning away from living a lifestyle of sin, has absolutely nothing to do with receiving God's free gift of eternal life. I hope you see that. False teachers like John MacArthur, Steve Pettit, Marty Herron, James White, Bryan Denlinger, Sam Horn, John Piper, Ray Comfort, Kirk Cameron and R.C. Sproul, unbiblically require people to forsake a lifestyle of sinning to get saved, which is heresy. Salvation is a take proposition, not a give proposition.

Out Baptist churches today are filled with people who are very ecumenical, accepting and bidding Godspeed to all manner of heresy, false teachers, counterfeit Bible versions and other gospels. Sadly, anybody who professes faith alone in Christ alone by grace alone is embraced as being a true Christian; yet many of these so-called Christians” adhere to a very different plan of salvation than what is clearly taught in the King James Bible. I have just shown you two Baptist churches, whose Statement of Faith add turning away from sins to the Gospel, corrupting the simplicity that is in Christ by faith alone.

Most churches are in denial today. While they insist that salvation is a free gift that cannot be earned, at the same time they also insist that you turn away from sinning to receive it. I can take you to the Mormon, Roman Catholic, Jehovah's Witness, Church of Christ and Seventh-Day Adventist websites to show you where they all insist that salvation is obtained solely by God's grace. Yet, all of these false religions require some form of works for salvation, or to prove that you are really saved by performing works. The Word of God teaches the exact opposite, that a person is saved solely BY FAITH and nothing else is required...

Romans 3:20-26, “Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin. But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets; Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference: For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God; To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus.

Repeatedly in the Bible we are taught simply to BELIEVE on the only begotten Son of God (John 3:16). Nowhere are we told to repent “of our sins to be saved. NOWHERE!!! In closing, let me repeat these doctrinally sound words by Evangelist John R. Rice once again. And may I say, the inspired Scriptures are our final and only authority in all doctrinal and moral matters. You'll find those inspired words only in the King James Bible today. Having said that, Dr. Rice gets it 100% correct here, in my humble opinion as a fundamentalist Baptist preacher:

“Repentance is not a different plan of salvation from having faith: it is part of the same plan of salvation. Or rather repentance is simply another way of describing or looking at the plan of salvation. One who turns from sin to God has done so by trusting in Jesus Christ. A change of mind toward sin is necessarily involved in saving faith.” [emphasis added]
SOURCE: Evangelist John R. Rice, “Acts: Filled With The Spirit,” pp. 251-252; Sword Of The Lord, Murfreesboro, Tennessee; ©1963

Repentance is not a separate act from believing, but one and the same. This is the great Bible truth which is woefully lacking in thousands of Baptist churches today, perverting the simple Gospel of free grace. God bless you dear friend, and thank you from my heart for reading this humble sinner's writings. To God alone be the glory!

Why Does A Saved Person Have To Confess Sin?

1st John 1:8-10, “If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.”

A religious man at a job I worked years ago, tried to convince me that our text passage of Scripture only applies to unsaved people. The guy claimed that since a believer's sins were already forgiven at the time of salvation, we don't need to confess our sins as God's children. He was wrong! Although our POSITION was forever settled the moment we got saved, our CONDITION needs to be continually maintained. Proof that this verse does not apply to unsaved people is that we don't get saved by confessing our sins, but by believing on the name of the Son of God (John 20:31). The reason why God can forgive a believer simply by confessing, is because we are already saved. Confessing is simply getting right with God, agreeing with the Lord concerning our sins. The lost man is still under the condemnation of God's Old Testament law. He needs God's New Testament grace, which is obtained only through faith in Jesus Christ (Galatians 3:24-26; Philippians 3:9).

As a believer our sins have all been washed away by the blood of Jesus, judicially speaking. The old account was settled long ago! Amen! So in God's sight, as far as our POSITION in Christ is concerned, we are right with God on the basis of Christ's sacrifice on the cross, and not by the life we live. Once saved, always saved (OSAS). But when we sin as God's children, our fellowship with the Lord is broken until we get right with God. 1st John 1:6, “If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth: But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.”

Carefully notice that the topic here is FELLOWSHIP, not SONSHIP. If we live in willful sin as believers, we are not walking in sweet fellowship with the Lord, which limits God's blessings in our life. Until we confess (agree with God) concerning the awfulness of the sins in our life, and we depart from evil (premeditated sinning), we cannot be right with God as His child. Please understand that this has nothing to do with salvation. In fact, you CAN receive God's free gift of eternal life without forsaking the sins in your life. That must be true if it is to truly remain a free gift (Romans 5:15-18; 6:23; Ephesians 2:9-10).

A saved person still has to confess sin, because our flesh wants to rebel against the indwelling Holy Spirit (Romans 7:14-25). We all sometimes get out of harmony with God, like a terrible sounding chord played on a musical instrument. A major chord sounds crisp and in perfect harmony. But if you add a bunch of off notes, playing some strange sound, it will be offensive to the ear. The object of the Christian life is to keep our heart in sweet harmonic tune with the Word of God (John 17:17). When we hit those off chords, we need to confess, agreeing with God so that our life can return to sweet harmony with the Word of God.

That is exactly what the Bible means in Proverbs 3:5-7, Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from evil.If we keep our life in tune with the inspired Word of God (King James Bible), walking in sweet fellowship with the dear Savior, then God promises to guide our paths. We must choose our individual steps, but God will direct our paths. In other words, God's Word will point us in the right direction, if we fear God to heed instruction!!!

I like what my dear pastor said last night in his Wednesday evening sermon. He said, “Keep a short sin account with God.” I like that. In other words, stay confessed up. Don't allow too much time after you sin, to go to the Lord and confess your sins to make things right. 1st John 1:9, “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” God will ALWAYS be faithful and fair to forgive our sins. Micah 7:18, “Who is a God like unto thee, that pardoneth iniquity, and passeth by the transgression of the remnant of his heritage? he retaineth not his anger for ever, because he delighteth in mercy.”

Please Don't Be Deceived By The Bob Jones College Cult

Galatians 1:6-9, “I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel: Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ. But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.”

I don't visit Harvest Baptist Church of Guam's (HBC) website very often, because they've banned me from returning to church and ostracized me since 2014, and it breaks my heart that I am not welcomed. But I recently took a look at their website and noticed in their Statement of Faith that they clearly claim to believe that salvation is by grace alone. This is a deception friends! HBC employees a bunch of Bob Jones University (BJU) graduates, and the church closely mimics whatever BJU supports and teaches. BJU is headquarters of the cult!

Also, if you take a look at BJU's Statement of Faith, they falsely claim to believe that salvation is by grace alone through faith alone in Christ alone. But that is a fallacy, as I will show you. Please read the following quote:
...salvation is possible only through Christ's ransom sacrifice and that individuals cannot be saved until they repent of their sins and call on the name of Jehovah. Salvation is described as a free gift from God, but is said to be unattainable without good works that are prompted by faith. [source]
Do you know whom the preceding doctrinal quote refers to? It isn't Harvest Baptist Church, but they teach the same garbage. It isn't Bob Jones University, but they teach the same junk theology. You're going to be shocked. It refers to the Jehovah's Witnesses and what they believe!!! It is a quote from Wikipedia about the Jehovah's Witnesses. Oh my! Dear reader, if you believe Lordship Salvation, you are in the same sinking boat as the hellbound Jehovah's Witnesses. Think about that!

Let's dig deeper. Here is a quote directly from the Jehovah's Witness' official website:
The Bible shows that you must have works, or acts of obedience, to prove that your faith is alive. (James 2:24, 26) However, this does not mean that you can earn salvation. It is “God’s gift” based on his “undeserved kindness,” or “grace.”—Ephesians 2:8, 9; King James Version. [emphasis added]

SOURCE: https://www.jw.org/en/bible-teachings/questions/what-is-salvation

Do you see the doublespeak? JW's speak of salvation by grace while simultaneously requiring works to prove the genuineness of your faith. That is the same Satanic garbage taught at Bob Jones University today...
“For the real reality of the genuineness of your faith is that you are faithful to run the race!” —Dr. Steve Pettit (“What Does It Mean To Run 'The Race'?” - 22:44)
Dear reader, salvation is a free gift, which does NOT require any effort on your part to validate or prove that your faith is real. Faith is faith. Jesus said even the smallest amount of faith moves mountains. All the faith you need to be saved is JUST ENOUGH. You need just enough faith to obey God. Romans 10:13, “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. If you have JUST ENOUGH faith to call upon the name of the Lord, you will be saved immediately, irrevocably and eternally. You have God's promise on it!

If you are married, you don't have to prove the genuineness of your legal marriage by behaving a certain way. A woman may be unfaithful to her husband, but their marriage is still 100% legal and legitimate. The way a person behaves shows how much they love their spouse, but it has nothing to do with the legality of their marriage. Likewise, the way a believer lives shows how much he or she loves Jesus (John 14:15), but it has absolutely nothing to do with the legal act of God justifying a man by faith, which Christ alone paid for. John 14:15, “If ye love me, keep my commandments.” We do not prove the genuineness of our faith by obedience to God as a Christian; but rather, we prove how much we love Jesus. A lost man can live just as righteous as a believer, and a believer can live just as sinful as a lost man.

Dr. Steve Pettit's Eternal Insecurity

Here is another heretical quote from the Jehovah's Witnesses...
Can you lose out on salvation?

Yes. Just as a person saved from drowning could fall or jump back into the water, a person who has been saved from sin but fails to keep exercising faith could lose out on salvation. For this reason, the Bible urges Christians who have received salvation “to put up a hard fight for the faith.” [emphasis added]

SOURCE: https://www.jw.org/en/bible-teachings/questions/what-is-salvation

Sadly, that is exactly what Dr. Steve Pettit (president of Bob Jones University also heretically teaches):
“You can't just speak about getting saved, and you accepted Christ, and then that's it! There is a justification; There is a sanctification; There's ultimately a glorification, and though there are three parts, they are all part of the whole, and you cannot separate them. In order for you to qualify for the award, you have to get into the race, you have to stay in the race, and you have to finish the race. If you want to win, you have to run to the end; and winning in the Christian life is everything, because if you lose—if you don't finish—you lose everything—you lose your SOUL. And so, the Christian race is the life of faith that begins, is run, and is finished when we cross over into Heaven!” —Dr. Steve Pettit (“What Does It Mean To Run 'The Race'?” - 11:34)
Do you see how these damnable false teachers agree? They both teach that you can lose out on salvation if you fail to faithfully live the Christian life. That is not the Gospel of free grace! That is not the free gift of God by faith alone. They both say more is required than faith, that you are OBLIGATED to live a life of obedience to God. This is the Devil's lie of Lordship Salvation!!!

One of my very favorite preachers is Pastor Ralph Yankee Arnold. He preached a helpful sermon titled: “He That Committeth Sin Is Of The Devil.” If you try to prove that you're saved by how you live, the only conclusion you can come up with is that you're not, because you're still a sinner! If we must faithfully run the race in Christian holiness and service to know that we are saved, then how can any saint ever have the 100% sweet assurance of salvation until we're dead? Steve Pettit's type of thinking goes totally contrary to the plainest teachings of the Word of God. Matthew 22:29, Jesus answered and said unto them, Ye do err, not knowing the scriptures, nor the power of God.

In this article I have shown you that the Jehovah's Witness' religious cult preach salvation by grace, just as do Harvest Baptist Church of Guam and Bob Jones University. But like the Jehovah's Witnesses, the Bob Jones crowd use this lie as a smokescreen for their counterfeit plan of salvation. The Bob Jones crowd preach the SAME lie as the Jehovah's Witnesses, that you must turn away from your sins to be saved. That is a Satanic works-based plan of damnation, not salvation. That is not Free Grace Theology!!!

In case you missed it, here again is what the Jehovah's Witnesses believe:

Jehovah's Witnesses believe salvation is possible only through Christ's ransom sacrifice and that individuals cannot be saved until they repent of their sins and call on the name of Jehovah. Salvation is described as a free gift from God, but is said to be unattainable without good works that are prompted by faith. [source]

Bob Jones University is in agreement with the cults! I triple-dog dare you to go search online for what Mormons, Roman Catholics, Church of Christ and Seventh-Day Adventists all believe and teach concerning repentance, and you'll find that they all require people to “repent of your sins” to receive God's free gift of eternal life. The phrase “repent of your sins” is nowhere found in the inspired King James Bible. You'd have to go find a corrupted modern Bible perversion, like the New Living Translation (NLT) to find that Satanic garbage.

“Repent” in the Bible as a noun concerning salvation is metanoia, which simply means “a change of mind.” A person repents by believing on the Lord Jesus Christ. Matthew 21:32, “For John came unto you in the way of righteousness, and ye believed him not: but the publicans and the harlots believed him: and ye, when ye had seen it, repented not afterward, that ye might believe him.” Notice that Jesus didn't say they turned from their sins to believe on Him. Nor did Jesus say that they repented to turn away from their sins. No, the Lord said the Pharisees “REPENETED NOT” that they might believe Him. The man who believes has repented, and the man who repents has believed. That is why in the Gospel of John we find the word “believe” mentioned 85 times, but the word “repent” is not mentioned even once. That speaks volumes!!! Repentance is necessary for salvation, but it is automatic, not something extra you must do besides simply believing.

2nd Timothy 2:25-26, “In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth; And that they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil, who are taken captive by him at his will.I love this passage of Scripture! Nowhere does the Bible teach turning from sins to be saved. We are simply taught that God gives men repentance to acknowledge THE TRUTH. What truth? Romans 3:19, “Now we know that what things soever the law saith, it saith to them who are under the law: that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God. Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin. Salvation is a matter of repentance and faith, that is, acknowledging THE TRUTH that you are a guilty needy sinner, and believing THE TRUTH of the Gospel to be saved. LAW and CHRIST.

Revelation 20:15, “And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.”

The Message Of Haggai—Finish What You Start!

Haggai 1:3-5, “Then came the word of the LORD by Haggai the prophet, saying, Is it time for you, O ye, to dwell in your cieled houses, and this house lie waste? Now therefore thus saith the LORD of hosts; Consider your ways.”

The Jews had returned from 70 years of captivity in Babylon. They were now back in the holy city of Jerusalem. Zerrubbabel began to rebuilt the temple and altars so the Jews could worship God. The Samaritans discouraged them from rebuilding, looking down on the Jews as troublemakers. The rebuilding halted for about 16 years, but the Jews worked on their own houses instead. Put another way, Jesus said in Luke 16:13, No servant can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.Nothing has destroyed soulwinning churches all across America like money-making Bible colleges, training young people to pursue careers instead of preparing them for a calling from God to preach the Word.

Sadly, that is so much like the Bible colleges and churches today. We see clergy of all sorts (pastors, Bible professors, Bible college executives, evangelists, missionaries, et cetera) working to make money, pursuing careers instead of soulwinning, turning God's house into a business instead of an orchard to win souls. They are lining their own pockets in their human religious efforts, instead of letting the Lord build the churches. Psalms 127:1, “Except the LORD build the house, they labour in vain that build it: except the LORD keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain.” For the entire year that I attended the Harvest Baptist Church on Guam in 2014, I never once heard any mention about the Holy Spirit, or the power of the Holy Spirit. The church congregation applauded after special music, instead of saying “Amen.” The purpose of special music ought to be to prepare people's hearts for the preaching, not entertain them!

Haggai and Zechariah preached a revival to encourage the people to finish what they started. Years later, Nehemiah rebuilt the city wallsHaggai 1:6-8, “Ye have sown much, and bring in little; ye eat, but ye have not enough; ye drink, but ye are not filled with drink; ye clothe you, but there is none warm; and he that earneth wages earneth wages to put it into a bag with holes. Thus saith the LORD of hosts; Consider your ways. Go up to the mountain, and bring wood, and build the house; and I will take pleasure in it, and I will be glorified, saith the LORD.The prophet Haggai told the people why their crops were failing. Haggai told them why they were not prospering. The reason why is because they had forgotten about the house of the Lord. Haggai's message was simple—finish what you start!

Here is a helpful slide presentation showing the chronology of events. This picture is helpful, which is taken from the preceding Bible presentation...

The preceding chart will help you understand the Bible better, as you read these Old Testament historical books.

I love the boldness and honesty of Nehemiah, who didn't hesitate to tell their enemies why he wouldn't meet with them. Nehemiah boldly told them that he had better things to do! I love that! Nehemiah said he was doing a GREAT WORK! Nehemiah 6:1-3, “Now it came to pass, when Sanballat, and Tobiah, and Geshem the Arabian, and the rest of our enemies, heard that I had builded the wall, and that there was no breach left therein; (though at that time I had not set up the doors upon the gates;) That Sanballat and Geshem sent unto me, saying, Come, let us meet together in some one of the villages in the plain of Ono. But they thought to do me mischief. And I sent messengers unto them, saying, I am doing a great work, so that I cannot come down: why should the work cease, whilst I leave it, and come down to you?”

Dear reader, I am doing a GREAT WORK! Preaching the truth is the most important thing in the universe. Nothing is more important or greater than preaching the Gospel. If I were to become the President of the United States, it wouldn't be as great as what I am doing through my website ministry! I am soulwinning! I am upholding the deity of Jesus Christ. I am contending for the Christian faith. I am proclaiming the infallibility and inspiration of God's Word in the King James Bible!!! God called me to be a preacher before I was even conceived (Jeremiah 1:5).

It frustrates me that nothing matters much to the Bob Jones University crowd. They use, sell and promote umpteen Bible versions. That is not the Lord's way. The once great citadel of Fundamentalism in the United States—Bob Jones College (founded in 1927)—has deteriorated since 1968 (the year Dr. Bob Jones Sr. went to Heaven) into a cesspool of iniquity, preaching the Devil's lie of Lordship Salvation!

Luke 8:14, And that which fell among thorns are they, which, when they have heard, go forth, and are choked with cares and riches and pleasures of this life, and bring no fruit to perfection.” The Bob Jones' crowd have been choked by the love of career, social acceptance, ecumenism, ecclesiastical peer pressure, along with the cares and pleasures of this life. The Bob Jones' crowd are spiritually barren. I've lived at my present residence for 6 years, and not once has Harvest Baptist Church knocked on a single door anywhere on Guam with the Gospel. I know because they have no soulwinning outreach. Oh how I wish they had a soulwinning ministry!

But hey, they're making big bucks with their religious school! Cha-ching! Whoo hoo... money, money, money! That's the Bob Jones theme—we've got the money! Money is the universal language. People don't care unless something affects their money, then they get angry (Acts 19:24-27). But people dying in their sins and going to Hell, well, that's just the way it is, right? Hardly any professed Christians care about winning souls anymore, because our shameful pastors have turned the churches into entertainment fun centers and psychology classes. This woeful evil is the consequence of people sending their kids off to apostate Bible colleges to pursue a career! if you want to make money, don't parasite off Christendom!

I digress! There is nothing more important than the work of God. Somebody's got to care! The reason why the homosexual agenda is spreading like the plague across America is simply because the ungodly newsmedia are relentlessly promoting this evil. Hollywood is promoting this evil incessantly. Netflix is promoting the evils of hardcore Satanism (gore, blood, guts, violence, human sacrifice, torture, sexual immorality of all forms, feminism, gender-bending, blasphemy)! Netflix has nearly 200,000,000 paid subscribers worldwide and still climbing! The Antichrist is coming soon folks, clearly evidenced by the way the world is morally deteriorating so quickly. However, the primary reason why evil is triumphing over good is simply because the churches are dead today! Pastors no longer preach! Sin is no longer hated.

Professed Christians are really bad these days. There's a professed Christian man on Guam named Andrew, that owns his own auto-repair business. He is a Korean man. Unfortunately he is also a liar. Immanuel Auto Repair is the name of the place. I asked him the other day if he would replace the brake pads on the front. He insistently said that he would call me the next day. He reminded me three times. Yet, he never called. That's not the first time he's lied to me like that. It is his way of letting me know that he doesn't want to work on my car. The last time I let him work on my car, he charged me $500 just to change the oil, one ignition coil, and four spark plugs. That is highway robbery! When I asked him about it he became offended, because he knows that he rips people off. Regardless, a man is a liar who says he will do something, but then doesn't. For a professed Christian that is very bad!!! Proverbs 6:2, Thou art snared with the words of thy mouth, thou art taken with the words of thy mouth.I often say, “No promises!,” to people, because I don't want to be a liar!

As Christians our word ought to mean something. When we say we are going to do something, it should be so! Haggai 1:5, “Now therefore thus saith the LORD of hosts; Consider your ways.”

She Wipeth Her Mouth: “I Have Done No Wickedness.”

Proverbs 30:18-20, “There be three things which are too wonderful for me, yea, four which I know not: The way of an eagle in the air; the way of a serpent upon a rock; the way of a ship in the midst of the sea; and the way of a man with a maid. Such is the way of an adulterous woman; she eateth, and wipeth her mouth, and saith, I have done no wickedness.

This is an amazing passage of Scripture. King Solomon in his wisdom said there were four things that he couldn't figure out, that astounded him. One was the way an eagle flies through the air. Another was the ability of a serpent to balance itself and maneuver with incredible agility upon a rock. Another thing was the way a great loaded ship can float upon the water at sea. And lastly, Solomon was perplexed over the human chemistry between two lovers. Solomon says such is the way of an adulterous woman—she commits her sin by eating the forbidden fruit, and then afterwards as she wipes the very evidence away from her mouth, she denies having done any wrong.

Using More Than One Bible Version Is Wickedness

Dear reader, what you just read describes pastors, Bible colleges, evangelists, missionaries and churches all across the world. They use, sell and promote umpteen Bible versions, confusing everybody, and then they wipe their mouth, saying: “I Have Done No Wickedness.” BUT THEY HAVE DONE WICKEDNESS!!! Those wicked servants are promoting corruptible seed. They are in denial, like the adulterous woman in Proverbs 30:20. Many pastors today are wiping Westcott and Hort off their mouth, saying, “I Have Done No Wickedness.” BUT THEY HAVE DONE WICKEDNESS!! They are pulling on the same rope as the Devil, perverting the words of the living God. Jeremiah 23:36, “And the burden of the LORD shall ye mention no more: for every man's word shall be his burden; for ye have perverted the words of the living God, of the LORD of hosts our God.Is it no light thing to you?

Preaching 'Lordship Salvation' Is Wickedness

I am so disgusted, sick and tired of shallow preachers that it makes me want to upchuck! I love Pastor Clarence Sexton, God knows my heart. I have even thought of moving to Knoxville, Tennessee to join their Temple Baptist Church. But I felt sick when I saw Ken Hem invited, honored and permitted to speak to thousands of church members and Crown College students in 2016. Folks, Ken Ham preaches another Gospel. Ken Ham's Answers-In-Genesis website heretically says: We must repent. The Bible tells us we must turn from sin, turn from our wicked way, and begin to follow Him.” Dear reader, the Bible DOESN'T say that! Ken Ham is a theological liar! Nowhere does the Bible teach that to receive God's free gift of eternal life, we must turn from our sinful ways and begin to follow Christ.

I frequently receive emails from people who lived in fear for years, unable to find the sweet assurance of God's promise of eternal security by faith alone, because they couldn't stop sinning as Ray Comfort, Ken Ham or Steve Pettit had sinfully misled them to think. It is a big deal folks! Right doctrine matters. The Gospel is delicate and easily corrupted. Salvation is God giving you something for free by faith, not you becoming faithful to qualify to receive it.

I am shocked how fast heresy is spreading into our Baptist churches. Look at this theological insanity being preached by Pacific Garden Mission's 'UNSHACKLED' radio. I need to quote to you some of their transcript from UNSHACKLED, just to show you how messed-up they are today. For example: In UNSHACKLED program #3589 (aired in 2020), a woman named Debbie Brooks meets with a religious friend named Sharon and tells her this to be saved:

SHARON: Trusting Jesus is the only thing that can make a difference in my messed-up life.

DEBBIE: I keep hearing that in church, but I don't get it—how something that EASY can be a life-changer.

SHARON: Oh Debbie, it's not easybelieving in Jesus means repenting and asking forgiveness for all the old ways, and then GIVING THEM UP FOR GOOD. When you find the COURAGE TO DO THAT, He'll help you CHANGE YOUR LIFE.

DEBBIE: Huh, well, I'll have to think about it.
So according to Pacific Garden Mission, God won't accept your faith to receive His gift of eternal life, until you have the courage to forsake the old sinful ways permanently. That is a false gospel my friend. The Bible calls it “another gospel” which is “accursed” (Galatians 1:6-9). 1st Corinthians 15:1-4 defines “the Gospel” as Jesus' death on the cross, burial and bodily resurrected from the dead three days later. There is no mention of turning from your sins or giving them up for good! PGM are theological liars! T
hey may wipe their mouth with the heresy of Lordship Salvation oozing from it, saying: “I Have Done No Wickedness.” BUT THEY HAVE DONE WICKEDNESS!!! Lordship Salvation is a lie of the Devil.

Dear reader, what you just read taught by Pacific Garden Mission in Chicago is of the Devil, straight out of the pits of Hell. I hope you see how evil this is. According to this UNSHACKLED program, it is NOT EASY to be saved, because you are required to GIVE UP YOUR OLD SINFUL WAYS PERMANENTLY! That is “another gospel” accursed by God!

Please Don't Be Deceived By The Deceivers In The Pulpit Today

Living in denial doesn't justify anything. In Matthew 7:21-23 we read a sad and tragic true story about a group of people who lived the Christian life without ever being born-again. They called Jesus “Lord, Lord,” but Jesus said He never knew them! Dear reader, if you don't want to hear those horrifying words on judgment day, then you had better put your faith in Jesus alone, and not try to turn from your sins as part of the new birth. Anyone who makes even the slightest attempt to clean up their life to be saved is not going to Heaven. You will NEVER undergo the new birth as long as YOU are part of the equation. That is exactly what Hebrews 4:10-11 teaches. Hebrews 4:10-11, “For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his. Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief.” The Bible doesn't say that God turned from His sins, it says that He ceased from His works.”

I am so sick of hearing preachers heretically talk out of both sides of their mouth. They all insist that salvation is by grace without works, and that is how they deceive everyone. Occultists know that the most effective deception is the HALF-TRUTH, because in part it can be defended with incontestable logic. That is why preachers accept Ken Ham's lies. They hear him say that salvation is by grace through faith alone, and you cannot merit or earn it; but they don't catch the part where he them adds a second requirement that you turn away from sinful behavior and begin to follow Christ. That may seem insignificant and harmless, but it is just as deadly as adding the Roman Catholic's Seven Sacraments to grace. Grace plus anything is not grace anymore! Making an effort to turn away from sins is a work. How can you say that you have ceased from your works, as God did from His, if you are trying to quit sinning?

I am saddened that most Baptist preachers today don't pay attention to the details. Little things matter. The way we present the Gospel matters. It is not merely a matter of semantics. When a preacher says that you must DO SOMETHING to be saved, other than rest wholly in what Jesus Christ has done through the cross to pay for your sins, he is preaching another gospel. Ephesians 2:13, “But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ.” Please notice that we are made nigh unto God BY THE BLOOD OF CHRIST, and not by turning from one's sinful bad habits.

Ladies and gentleman, we've got a bunch of liars in the pulpit today, who have been corrupted by all these academic dead so-called “Bible colleges.” Over 95% of these “Bible colleges” don't even believe that we have a perfect, inerrant, infallible and inspired Bible today! Go figure! Bless God, we DO have a perfect, inerrant, infallible and inspired Bible today in the KING JAMES BIBLE!!! Kindly said, the First Baptist Church of Hammond, Indiana (FBCH) stopped believing that in 2008. Respectfully, Pastor Jack Schaap CHANGED the former position of the church on the Bible set by Pastor Jack Hyles. Pastor Hyles was right!

Brother Hyles thought the issue was so important that in 1994 he preached a positional sermon called: “The Battle Of The Ages.” Today the FBCH has simply moved on, like the issue is not important, and they have better things to do with their time. Dear friends, the gateway to the modern Bible revisions is to deny that we have ONE perfect, inerrant, infallible and inspired Bible today! If it's not the King James Bible, then which one is it? Since things that are different are not the same, it cannot be more than one of them! All of the modern corrupt Bible revisions completely remove God's promise from Psalms 12:6-7 to keep and preserve His PURE WORDS.

So now you've got a bunch of knucklehead pastors denying inspiration, saying that God only preserved His inspired words, deceitfully trying to make it look like they believe the Bible. If you ask them point blank if the King James Bible is inspired, they won't declare it. But the whole point of preservation was to keep those pure words which are inspired. If somewhere along the way men corrupted the Bible, and those words were no longer perfect, then God lied and we do not have THE TRUTH today.

Don't you tell me that our omnipotent God can do anything, except give us a perfect Bible in 2021. If I didn't think that the King James Bible was 100% without error, I would throw it in the garbage and never read the Bible again, because how could I know which parts are true, partly true or false? Does that make any sense to you? Do you think our great God, Who is NOT the author of confusion, would leave us in such a difficult predicament, having to search through hundreds of English Bible revisions to find THE TRUTH

I am not an eloquent writer. I make typos all the time. Some of my articles are too long. I know shorter is better, but sometimes I just need to say what needs to be said, and I say it. People in general won't read something if it is too long. Truly, I am humble and amazed that anyone would want to read my writings. I guess I'm too hard on myself. I love you all, those of you who are reading my blogs, and I thank God every day for you. Without you my labours would be worthless. I picture some people on a bus going to work, or coming back home, reading my blogs on their I-pad. Others are up late at night, or in the wee hours of the morning, reading what God has laid upon my heart. This is not my blog, it is God's. When I got saved, everything in my life became the Lord's (1st Corinthians 6:20).

Truth matters friends. Right doctrine matters. One of the greatest sins of pastors today is being lackadaisical and indifferent regarding THE TRUTH. One shameful pastor on Guam, Sean Quinlan at the Lighthouse Baptist Church, berated me in 2018 for constantly warning people about the Devil's modern Bibles. He called me “obsessed over the Bible debate.” Buster, you had better believe that I am obsessed over the Bible debate! What is wrong with him? I'll tell you, he was trained by academics at Pensacola Christian College, and not by church builders. So he lacks compassion and doesn't know how to build a church.

Not surprisingly he quit in 2018 and went back to PCC to work. Pastor Quinlan admitted to me that he doesn't know even one thing wrong with the modern Bibles. So here is a shallow guy, who doesn't know anything wrong with the Devil's Bibles, who is criticizing me because I can literally go on FOR HOURS about what is wrong with them! Sadly, Pastor Quinlan is incompetent to stand in any pulpit. I do not apologize to mention names. Let the truth fall where it may!!! We need a revival of caring about THE TRUTH in America.

The way that Satan creeps into a church is when pastors stop making a fuss, stop paying attention to the details, stop contending for the faith, and they stop fighting!!! Don't you dare wipe your mouth you wicked uncaring, compromised, yellowbellied, preachers who don't stand for the purity of the Word of God and the accuracy of the Gospel, saying: “I Have Done No Wickedness.” YOU HAVE ALL HAVE DONE WICKEDNESS!!!

90% Of Baptist Pastors Don't Care And Won't Stand

Jeremiah 10:21, “For the pastors are become brutish, and have not sought the LORD: therefore they shall not prosper, and all their flocks shall be scattered.

I realize that there are no perfect pastors, but it is shameful when you have difficulty finding a soulwinning pastor. It is sad when you have difficulty finding a pastor who still believes that the King James Bible is inerrant, infallible and inspired. It is sad when you have difficulty finding a pastor who still takes a firm stand against sin, who calls sin by name (abortion, booze, lying, laziness, gossip, fornication, adultery, homosexuality, lust, hatred, unforgiveness, holding grudges, et cetera). It is sad when you have difficulty finding a pastor who preaches a free grace Gospel, not this turn away from your sin junk theology today. Psalms 12:1, “Help, LORD; for the godly man ceaseth; for the faithful fail from among the children of men.”

Tragically, over 90% of Baptist pastors today are cowards. I have met plenty of them. The won't stand for anything. They won't take a stand against other Baptist pastors who have succumbed to the heresy of Lordship Salvation (i.e., Calvinism). I have met umpteen cowardly pastors, who for the sake of making money and growing a church, did not dare criticize another local church that uses dozens of Bible versions, and preaches another Gospel. What does that say about those shallow ungodly Pastors? It says they are incompetent in the pulpit. It says they have no business leading a New Testament church.

Many pastors have the unbiblical attitude that getting along with other professed Christians is more important than THE TRUTH itself. Dear reader, nothing is more important than truth. Without love truth is ineffective. But without truth love cannot exist. No one speaks lie in love! Ephesians 4:15 says to speak “the truth in love.” It is tragic that 90% of Baptist pastors today are far more concerned about growing their church, than they are about warning people of the dangers of the Devil's modern Bible revisions.

I knew one Pensacola Christian College (PCC) graduate, who lacked the guts to take a stand against the modern corrupt Bibles. His lame excuse was that he didn't want any controversies in the church. Well, he ended up splitting his church anyway, because of his sorry, lame, irresponsible, indifferent attitude toward heresy creeping into the church. He was only concerned about me bringing controversies into the church, because I kindly warned people in the church about the English Standard Version (ESV) that Bob Jones University sinfully sells, uses and promotes. Shame on BJU and their alumni! Anyone who uses, sells or promotes the Alexandrian Bible revisions has blood on their hands!!!

We need a revival in our churches of making big of THE TRUTH. Right doctrine matters! You don't have a right to choose your own Bible, that best fits you. You don't have a right to change what God said, to best suit your lifestyle and agenda. The inspired King James Bible gets in your face—THUS SAITH THE LORD! Whether you believe it or not, God said it and that settles it!!! We need a revival of obeying God, instead of changing our perception of God in the modern versions, expecting God to obey us! Just because you cannot handle the truth doesn't change it or make you less accountable to God. RIGHT DOCTRINE MATTERS! That means whatever Bible translation you use is very important, because even the slightest changes in word or grammatical structure in a sentence can significantly change the intended meaning.

Biblical separation is seldom practiced anymore today. You've got ungodly corrupt Baptist pastors today, who ought be run out of town. I'm talking about men like Dr. Steve Pettit. I'm talking about men like Dr. Marty Herron. I'm talking about men like Dr. John MacArthur. Instead, most fellow Baptist churches hobnob with them, bidding them Godspeed, which makes them just as guilty, partaker of their evil deeds. 2nd John 1:11, “For he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds. These wicked men are superficial, saying one thing but doing another. They claim to believe in a salvation only by grace, but then go teach that you must run the race to obtain the award of Heaven. That is another gospel.

I sometimes feel like I am the only one who cares about the purity of God's Word, or the accuracy of the Gospel. Thankfully, I am not alone, and there are other faithful preachers exposing these evils. If we don't stand, who will? If not now, when? If not here, where? Somebody's got to stand. Jude 1:3, “Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints.” Titus 1:13, This witness is true. Wherefore rebuke them sharply, that they may be sound in the faith;I am faithfully contending for the Christian faith, as the Bible commands, while Bob Jones University and their graduates are playing church on Sundays.

How Does A Christian Increase One's Faith?

1st Peter 1:6-9, "Wherein ye greatly rejoice, though now for a season, if need be, ye are in heaviness through manifold temptations: That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ: Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory: Receiving the end of your faith, even the salvation of your souls."

Pastor Jack Hyles said: "Unshakable faith comes from having your faith shaken." Faith is like film, it develops in the dark. Suffering, loss, afflictions, misery and pain increase our faith.

Even Jesus learned obedience through suffering. Hebrews 5:8, "Though he were a Son, yet learned he obedience by the things which he suffered; And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him;" There is no teacher like pain! The Bible teaches in Deuteronomy 8:1-4 that God intentionally led the Hebrews out of bondage in Egypt, into the brutal hardships of the desert (no water, no food, there were snakes and scorpions, poison water, scorching sun). God tested their faith, to see if they would obey Him. The Hebrews became bitter, complaining that at least they had garlic, leeks and a better life in Egypt.

I was humbled the other day when I watched this YouTube video of a homeless man in Los Angeles, who quoted the Scripture in praise of God, that the Lord is meeting his needs by giving him food from a dumpster to eat. Many people would complain that God hasn't been good to them, because they have to eat out of a dumpster; but this humble man thanks and praises God for feeding him out of the garbage. I realized when I saw this video that everything boils down to a person's global view of life (that is, our overall view of reality). Why is it that one man appreciates even the smallest blessings, but another complains while having great blessings?

For example: For the past 7 years I have lived in an apartment that I rent. I lost my home from an unwanted divorced in 2006. My apartment floods when it rains. I have a 5 gallon bucket catching rain in the bathroom. My backdoors are frozen shut from rust. I cannot open them. I could complain that God hasn't been good to me. But I choose to praise God with a thankful heart that the roof doesn't leak over my bed. I thank God that I have a bucket to catch the rain. I thank God that I am free and can go out the front doors. Prison doors have no handles, because you cannot leave! I praise God for the place I have to live, not being homeless! So we see how our attitude affects and determines whether or not we think God has blessed us!

God lets us suffer sometimes to break us, so that we will appreciate what we have. Job's friends condemned him, berating him at the lowest point in his life, falsely accusing him and his children of sinning to cause their own calamity. I can understand why Job might have hated them. In Job 16:2 Job called his friends "miserable comforters." Yet, look when God turned away Job's hardships... Job 42:10, "And the LORD turned the captivity of Job, when he prayed for his friends: also the LORD gave Job twice as much as he had before." Job took the high road and prayed for his rotten friends, and that is when God made everything right again in Job's life! Job's attitude caused God to bless him.

We see the same thing with Jonah. Jonah 2:9-10, "But I will sacrifice unto thee with the voice of thanksgiving; I will pay that that I have vowed. Salvation is of the LORD. And the LORD spake unto the fish, and it vomited out Jonah upon the dry land." When Jonah became thankful, and decided to obey God, his captivity ended. So often I think God lets us suffer to teach us (to conform us into Christ's image - Romans 8:29), and when our attitude pleases the Lord, then He blesses us. James 4:6 says God resists the proud, but gives grace unto the humble. Without faith we cannot please God (Hebrews 11:6). Having our faith shaken gives us unshakable faith. Psalms 119:67 and 71, "Before I was afflicted I went astray: but now have I kept thy word. ... It is good for me that I have been afflicted; that I might learn thy statutes." The Bible says our suffering, losses and hardships are more valuable than gold (1st Peter 1:7-9). How many believers esteem their suffering as being worth more than having $10,000,000?

I heard an amazing sermon last year by Pastor Ralph "Yankee" Arnold titled: "THE CALL TO SUFFER." I think you'd find it a blessing, as I did. This is a rare sermon, which few preachers would ever preach, because they don't understand this truth. Suffering is as much a part of the Christian life as our faith. Jesus Christ also suffered, and as his disciples we are partakers of His suffering. 2nd Corinthians 1:7, "And our hope of you is stedfast, knowing, that as ye are partakers of the sufferings, so shall ye be also of the consolation."

Also, dietary fasting increases our faith, because it is a form of self induced suffering. Oftentimes saints with the most faith suffer from some crippling disease, or are victims of a horrible accident or birth defect. When we ask God to increase our faith, we are asking for all Hades to happen in our life, because that is how our faith increases. Romans 10:17 says, "So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God." The Word of God increases our faith, but often people won't listen to the Word of God until they suffer. Many people sin and end up in prison, and only then do they listen to God's Word. Listening to the Holy Bible will increase one's faith. That is why the Devil removed and banned the Holy Bible from all public schools. That is why this generation has no faith!

The best way to increase one's faith is to get into the Word of God, and nothing else. Just read, study and listen to the Bible. Here is Alexander Scourby reading the Gospel of John.

People who are all messed up and confused on the Bible and salvation, have been listening to preachers, usually internet or TV preachers. I encourage people to look only at the King James Bible as their only and final authority. Jesus said in John 5:39 to "Search the Scriptures." He didn't tell us to listen to man's teachings. As we live and suffer, the indwelling Holy Spirit will teach us the real meaning of the Bible, which oftentimes people cannot grasp until they've suffered through it personally. God wrote the Bible in such a way that different people, at different points in life's journey, will benefit from different portions of Scripture. We all see something different when we read the Bible. That is, different passages will impact us more than others, and vise versa. That is truly amazing!

Beware Of Shallow Pastors Who Compromise On Truth

Jeremiah 3:15, “And I will give you pastors according to mine heart, which shall feed you with knowledge and understanding.” Jeremiah 10:21, “For the pastors are become brutish, and have not sought the LORD: therefore they shall not prosper, and all their flocks shall be scattered. Jeremiah 12:10, “Many pastors have destroyed my vineyard, they have trodden my portion under foot, they have made my pleasant portion a desolate wilderness.” Revelation 3:2, Be watchful, and strengthen the things which remain, that are ready to die: for I have not found thy works perfect before God.

We are living in perilous times. That sadly includes our dead churches, shallow pastors and corrupt Bible colleges today. The Bible exhorts us to STRENGTHEN THE THINGS THAT REMAIN, THAT ARE READY TO DIE. The King James Bible has already died in many churches. When I visited the First Baptist Church of Pensacola, Florida in downtown Pensacola city in late 2019, they had New International Version (NIV) Bibles in all the pews. The pastor read and preached from an NIV. There wasn't a King James Bible in sight. To no surprise, if you go check their Statement of Faith, they teach Calvinism. Here is a quote:

“All true believers endure to the end. Those whom God has accepted in Christ, and sanctified by His Spirit will never fall away from the state of grace, but shall persevere to the end.”

SOURCE: https://fbcp.org/our-statement-of-faith

The First Baptist Church of Pensacola are caught up in the same Calvinist heresy as Dr. Steve Pettit and Bob Jones University. They view justification, sanctification and glorification as a package deal that cannot be separated. They are in woeful error, not understanding the Scripture. Matthew 22:29, Jesus answered and said unto them, Ye do err, not knowing the scriptures, nor the power of God.The famous preacher John Bunyan (1628-1688) got it 100% correct, making this beautiful statement:

“If you do not put a difference between justification wrought by the man Christ without and sanctification wrought by the Spirit of Christ within, you are not able to divide the Word aright; but contrariwise, you corrupt the Word of God, and cast stumbling blocks before the people.” [emphasis added] —Evangelist John Bunyan

The First Baptist Church of Pensacola, and Dr. Steve Pettit at BJU, fail to understand what John Bunyan said. One of the main culprits is the Devil's modern Bible revisions. There is a direct link between Calvinism and the modern Bible revisions. For example:

KING JAMES BIBLE (KJB) - 1st John 3:9, “Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.

NEW INTERNATIONAL VERSION (NV) - 1st John 3:9, “No one who is born of God will continue to sin, because God’s seed remains in them; they cannot go on sinning, because they have been born of God.

There is a world of difference between the two preceding statements. Things that are different are not the same. It is obvious that all believers still commit sin. So what does this verse mean? It can only mean one thing—that the indwelling Holy Spirit cannot sin. The Apostle Paul made very clear in Romans 7:14-25 that he struggled with sin daily. Paul said he did the sinful things that he didn't want to do. So according to the NIV Paul wasn't saved! 1st John 3:9 is explained by Galatians 5:16, “This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh. As you just read, it is impossible for a believer who is walking in the Spirit to sin. No one ever sins in the Holy Spirit, we sin in the weakness of the flesh.

Since we are still stuck in this fleshly body, we won't always choose to walk in the Spirit, sometimes we will choose to walk in the flesh. Romans 8:8-9, “So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God. But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.” It is impossible for the Spirt-filled believer to sin. When we sin, we do so in the flesh. No believer can persevere to walk in the Spirit all the time. Every believer walks in the flesh at times, evidenced by Paul's admission in Romans 7:14-25 that he frequent battles with not wanting to sin. WE ALL SIN ALL THE TIME (1st John 1:10; Romans 3:10-23).

Here is another example of how the Devil's modern Bible revisions are linked to Calvinism:

KING JAMES BIBLE (KJB) - Hebrews 6:1, “Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God,”

NEW INTERNATIONAL VERSION (NV) - Hebrews 6:1, “Therefore let us move beyond the elementary teachings about Christ and be taken forward to maturity, not laying again the foundation of repentance from acts that lead to death, and of faith in God,”

Again, things that are different are not the same. “Dead works” is not the same as “acts that lead to death.” Since Romans 6:23a says, “For the wages of sin is death,” this corrupt rendering of Hebrews 6:1 in the NIV implies that the reader must “turn away from sinning to be saved. That is absolutely NOT what the King James Bible teaches. “Dead works” here refer to the works of the Old Testament law.

Romans 3:20, Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin. This Bible very is so important, and I love it. Romans 3:20 explains to us the purpose for which God gave the law in the first place, so that humanity would obtain the knowledge of sin. Romans 7:13, “Was then that which is good made death unto me? God forbid. But sin, that it might appear sin, working death in me by that which is good; that sin by the commandment might become exceeding sinful.” The law is a measuring stick, by which when men compare themselves, they see their guilty condition and desperate need for the Savior. Galatians 3:25-26, “Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith. But after that faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster. For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus.” The law was given to bring us to Christ!

Therefore, we now understand the true meaning of Hebrews 6:1. Repentance unto salvation is not turning away from sin; but rather, ceasing from our own efforts to be saved. The NIV is confusing and totally misleads the reader. The sad and shocking ugly truth is that the translators and publishers of the modern Bible revisions aren't changing the Bible to improve it, make it easier to read, nor any other seemingly good reason; they are butchering the Bible to sell it! 2nd Corinthians 2:17, “For we are not as many, which corrupt the word of God: but as of sincerity, but as of God, in the sight of God speak we in Christ.”

The newly released 2020, Literal Standard Version (LSV), changes this verse to read: 2nd Corinthians 2:17, “For we are not as the many, adulterating the word of God, but as of sincerity—but as of God; in the presence of God, in Christ we speak.Adulterating the Word of God? What nonsense in the LSV! The NIV rewords it this way: 2nd Corinthians 2:17, “Unlike so many, we do not peddle the word of God for profit. On the contrary, in Christ we speak before God with sincerity, as those sent from God.” No, they all CORRUPT the Word of God!!! The following picture speaks volumes. Truly a picture is worth 1,000 words...

ABOVE: Proof That Bibles Are Being Tampered With Merely
To Get A Copyright, Not To Accurately Translate God's Word Into English

The above photo ought to disgust you dear reader, as it does me. Ungodly men and women are changing the Bible to make money. By law, if they want a legal copyright, they have to make creative and substantial changes to all existing texts. So they have to change it, whether it needs changing or not. That is theological fraud of the worst sort! Look what the New Life Version (NLV) changes it to in Zachariah 13:6, “If someone asks him, ‘What are these sores on your back?’ he will answer, ‘They are the sores I received in the house of my friends.’” Well is it Jesus' back, chest, hands, body, arms or hands? Are they sores, deep cuts, wounds or scars? If you want to some some fun, while being disgusted at the same time, search BibleGateway for the different renderings of Zechariah 13:6 and see how insane and evil all this is.

Dear reader, I sure hope my writings are getting across to some people. I don't make any money from my seven ministry websites. I don't make any money serving God. My blogs are from my heart. I even sent a $200 check back to a godly pastor years ago, who kindly wanted to show his gratitude toward me for promoting his ministry. I explained to him that I will never take a penny for my labors for Christ. It is not wrong to do, but I want people to know where my heart and intentions rest—in genuinely serving Jesus Christ and loving people by giving them THE TRUTH. I love my ministry. I love you, whoever you may be.

I enjoyed visiting the First Baptist Church of Pensacola. I was hoping to move to Pensacola and join their church, which is why I visited in late 2019. Sadly, they are wrong on the Bible and the Gospel. You don't have to persevere to get to Heaven. Just because you receive God's free gift of eternal life doesn't mean you will persevere in holy living and service to Christ, which is service (discipleship) and not salvation (sonship). I agree with Pastor Harry A. Ironside (1876-1951) that it is the indwelling Holy Spirit Who preserves in every believer, and not the believer persevering until the end. We are saved because GOD is faithful, not because WE are faithful. Pastor M.R. DeHaan (1891-1965) makes this excellent distinction between salvation and discipleship...

"There is a vast difference between coming to Jesus for salvation and coming after Jesus for service. Coming to Christ makes one a believer, while coming after Christ makes one a disciple. All believers are not disciples. To become a believer one accepts the invitation of the Gospel, to be a disciple one obeys the challenge to a life of dedicated service and separation. Salvation comes through the sacrifice of Christ; discipleship comes only by sacrifice of self and surrender to His call for devoted service. Salvation is free, but discipleship involves paying the price of a separated walk. Salvation can't be lost because it depends upon God's faithfulness, but discipleship can be lost because it depends upon our faithfulness." DeHaan, M. R. Hebrews. Zondervan Publishing House, 1959 (p. 117).
Our independent Baptist churches are being corrupted by the hour! The Devil's lie of Lordship Salvation has crept into tens of thousands of churches nowadays, leading people astray from the hope of the Gospel. I receive emails all the time from deeply grateful people—who for years doubted their salvation because they were lied to concerning how to be saved by Ray Comfort, Steve Pettit, Marty Herron, Harvest Baptist Church on Guam, UNSHACKLED (Pacific Garden Mission), R.C. Sproul, Adrian Rodgers, Bob Jones University and other heretics who pervert God's grace. This is the generation of gutless preachers, wimpy incompetent pastors, shallow churches, deadbeat Bible professors and widespread theological indifference. Somebody's got to care! I care. God cares. If you are a born-again believer, and you are right with God in your daily walk with the Lord, then you care too!

Revelation 3:2, Be watchful, and strengthen the things which remain, that are ready to die: for I have not found thy works perfect before God.
