Hosea 4:6, “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.”
Here is an article by a secular English professor, who sees the danger of the new Bible versions, but most pastors today are ungodly men who reject the truth. I see three evils here that destroyed God's people:
- Knowledge was rejected!
- The religious leaders rejected it!
- They forgot the Holy Bible!
Ladies and gentlemen, that is exactly what has happened all across the world today, especially in America, ground-zero for the Bible-corrupting movement. Hundreds of millions of churchgoers follow what their pastors preach to them! Today's pastors have wilfully rejected the knowledge of God (i.e., the truth). People need THE TRUTH, but the pastors aren't giving it to the people. The pastors have rejected the truth!
Jeremiah 3:15, “And I will give you pastors according to mine heart, which shall feed you with knowledge and understanding.” [This is what a pastor is supposed to do, but they dropped the ball for God in Israel, just like they do in America today!]Jeremiah 10:21, “For the pastors are become brutish [lacking good sense], and have not sought the LORD: therefore they shall not prosper, and all their flocks shall be scattered.”Jeremiah 12:10, “Many pastors have destroyed my vineyard, they have trodden my portion under foot, they have made my pleasant portion a desolate wilderness.” [a pastor ought to turn a church into a soulwinning vineyard, John 15:1-5]Jeremiah 23:1, “Woe be unto the pastors that destroy and scatter the sheep of my pasture! saith the LORD.” [churchgoers are utterly confused over the Bible and the Gospel nowadays, because of all the heresies and counterfeit Bible revisions]Jeremiah 23:2, “Therefore thus saith the LORD God of Israel against the pastors that feed my people; Ye have scattered my flock, and driven them away, and have not visited them: behold, I will visit upon you the evil of your doings, saith the LORD.”
Even small changes can completely alter the meaning of a Bible verse. These new Bibles teach Lordship Salvation. Mark 1:15 in the King James Bible simply says "Repent ye, and believe the Gospel." The modern perversions, like the Easy-To-Read Version (ERV) change Mark 1:15 to say "change your hearts and your lives and believe the Good News." Whoa! The Bible doesn't say that! To "repent" doesn't mean to change your life! That is one thing I do know about the Greek.
"Repent" in Mark 1:15 is the Greek verb "metanoeo," which means "to think differently." Anyone who says it means to change your life is a liar, perverting the true meaning. Repentance is a change of mind from WRONG THINKING to believing the Gospel. That's all it is! Acts 20:21 says "repentance toward God," not from sins. God "repented" of the evil He planned to do in Jonah 3:10. Did God repent of His sins? Of course not. God cannot sin. God simply changed His mind about the evil things He intended to do to the Ninevites, because they changed their minds first. If we always keep in mind that eternal life is a "free gift" (Romans 5:15-18), it clears up a lot of heresy and misunderstanding. Religion is the enemy of soulwinning!
Incompetent Pastors Use And Promote The Devil's Bibles
The modern Bibles have deliberately been corrupted to teach works salvation. Part of man's sinful nature seeks to justify one's self through good works. Adam instinctively tried to cover his sins, and Eve's, by sewing together fig leaves. God rejected Adam's fig-leaf religion, by killing an innocent animal to provides skins for them. That slain animal symbolized the Lamb of God slain for our sins (John 1:29). Likewise, Cain attempted to impress God with the works of His hands, offering the best crops his fields could produce. God rejected Cain's offering, but accepted Abel's blood sacrifice (which demonstrated his faith in the coming Messiah, who would shed His blood on the cross for our sins).
The new Bible revisions are very corrupt. I heard a great sermon clip yesterday by Pastor Steven Anderson called: "The Importance of Splitting Hairs." In this video Brother Anderson shows how the new Bibles change the promises of God from Jesus (the "Seed") to the Jews (Abraham's descendants). The Bible teaches that through Christ all the nations of the world would be blessed, not through manmade Israel. I'll let you hear the sermon for yourself. My point is that the modern Bibles are very different; redefining what it means to repent, obliterating the doctrine of imputation and propitiation, secularizing the Word of God, attacking Jesus' deity, and removing the Godhead (aka., Trinity). Woe unto anyone who tampers and corrupts God's inspired Holy Words!!!
Very few people care about learning the truth. The Bible teaches that God gives understanding to those who obey His commandments. Psalms 111:10, "The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: a good understanding have all they that do his commandments: his praise endureth for ever." When we obey the truth, God opens our eyes. There are spiritually dead theologians all over the world, who know all the facts about the Bible (as did the Pharisees in Jesus' time). The Pharisees knew about Christ's coming birth. They knew it would be in Bethlehem. They knew all the details, but they had no faith. Think about that! The Jewish religious leaders KNEW, yet they didn't even go to see the newborn Savior! Wicked Herod wanted to know where the Christ child would be born, so he could murder Him. God warned the Babylonian wise men not to return to Herod. When Herod saw that they didn't come back to inform him of the whereabouts of the Christ child, Herod was infuriated and ordered his soldiers to slaughter every male child under two years of age. That is so tragic!
Pastors Have Forgotten The Inspired King James Bible
If you don't have an inspired King James Bible in the English-speaking language, you don't have a Holy Bible! God only authored ONE BOOK, not two, not 39, not 900. The man with two watches never knows what time it is, and the man with two different Bible revisions doesn't know what the truth is! God said that a man cannot live by bread alone, but by "EVERY WORD" that proceedeth out of the mouth of God (Matthew 4:4). The modern Bible revisions horribly corrupt this passage, removing the phrase "EVERY WORD" ...
KING JAMES BIBLE (KJB) - Matthew 4:4, "But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God."
EASY-TO-READ VERSION (ERV) - Matthew 4:4, "Jesus answered him, “The Scriptures say, ‘It is not just bread that keeps people alive. Their lives depend on what God says.’”
Whoa and woe! There is a night and day difference between these two passages. Whereas the accurate King James Bible teaches we need "EVERY WORD" of God to live, the Easy-To-Read Version merely generalizes what "GODS SAYS." The King James Bible clearly EMPHASIZES the important of having EVERY WORD of God. You say, does it really matter? You better know it matters. What saith the Scripture? Matthew 5:18, “For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.” Jesus said that not one "JOT or TITTLE" (i.e., the smallest grammatical mark in the Greek alphabet, similar to the cross on the letter t, or the dot on the letter i). You better believe God gave us His exact words!!!

They've perverted the Words of the Living God. The Bible doesn't merely say that our lives depend on what the Lord says; but rather, we need "EVERY WORD" that proceedeth out of the mouth of the Lord!!!
The world is filled with theologians who know a bunch of knowledge, but they are not wise and have never been born-again. Wisdom is knowing how to use the knowledge that we have. Most theologians die with their knowledge, never having witnessed to a single soul, and never having led anyone to the Lord. They spend their lives learning and yet are never able to come to the knowledge of the truth (2nd Timothy 3:7). I'd rather be an ignoramus country preacher whose born-again and preaching the Gospel, leading people to the wonderful Savior; than to be some fuddy-duddy professor in some deeper life religious institution that spends his life Sitting On The Premises instead of Standing On The Promises.
Most people trust their religious leaders, especially Bible professors and pastors. Jesus told us to "SEARCH THE SCRIPTURES" (John 5:39). The Bereans were "more noble" the Bible says than the Thessalonicans, verifying the apostle Paul's preaching by searching the Scriptures. Acts 17:11, "These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so." Most churchgoers are lazy, merely going along to get along, trusting whatever they are spoonfed by some pastor. That is why cults prosper. Unsaved people tend to gravitate toward unsaved religious teachers, and not toward a born-again Bible preacher. The only authority in any local New Testament church is the inspired Word of God.
